This was my second time here and I wasn't quite as blown away as the first time. The room we were in felt like the area they stuck loud families with kids. Little to ambiance in there. The food was good - shrimp bao buns were a stand out. My main issue is that they make you order everything at once. So you don't know if you're over ordering or under ordering. It feels too pressure to then order a lot of food. They also are clearing plates that have sauces / mustards on it before we have even try it. The waiter was nice but overall I left feeling less excited about this place.

What a great experience. Our waiter was Max. And he was AMAZING. He was well versed in the menu and helped us pick the perfect dishes. The dinning area was so cool filed with pictures of famous people and cool art work. The food was so good. We had the beef pot stickers, the Snow Pea Salad and the Pepper Beef and broccoli. Just wow. Family portions for the main course so they are shareable. The Manager even came by for a visit and suggested their sister location in Naples Florida, called Tigress . Can't wait to go when we get home to Fl. Don't skip out on this gem.

The food was exceptional here. We got a variety of different dishes. Started off with the greens, beef dumplings and salmon tartare. The mushroom noodle dish and rice with crab was amazing. All of the dishes have elevated flavor which makes the price worth it. Goosefeather is definitely a restaurant I will go back to.

I went to Goosefeather for a brunch with my co-workers today and we genuinely all had a transcendent experience. I'll start off with service. We were a group of 7 and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They refilled our waters and kept the plates to share coming! As for the food, we had smashed fingerling potatoes which were the STAR of today. I've never tasted potatoes like this and I swear I'm a potato connoisseur! The scallion biscuits came with a honey butter that was so delicious and creamy. The crab Rangoon was another dish that was flaky and so freaking GOOD!! It turned out to be a beautiful October day so we were able to go out to the back to explore the property a bit. Those were the highlights but I swear we almost had the whole menu. Before we even paid the check we were already talking about brining our significant others/families to the restaurant to try the food. This restaurant is the real deal!

Goosefeather is one of those places that feels special the moment you walk in. It's tucked inside a beautifully restored mansion in Tarrytown, and they've done an incredible job balancing elegance with a modern, artsy edge, high ceilings, bold ceiling art, chandeliers, and intimate dining rooms that still feel lively. Service here is top-notch. Every interaction feels warm and genuine, and our server was attentive without hovering. Drinks are just as much a highlight as the food... creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We started with the chili-crisp chicken wings, which came piled high with fresh herbs and cucumber ribbons. They were perfectly crisp with just the right amount of heat. The crab curry puff pastry was flaky and rich, generously stuffed and full of flavor. The crab fried rice was a showstopper.. bright pops of roe, fluffy eggs, tender crab, and fresh herbs all layered over perfectly cooked rice. The bao buns were pillowy soft and packed with saucy, flavorful filling that hit all the sweet-savory notes. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully crafted, and portions felt fair for the quality. This isn't your average night out--it's elevated Cantonese done right, with every dish plated like it belongs in a magazine. Goosefeather nails the atmosphere, the service, and the flavor, and it's absolutely worth the splurge.

Classy and romantic vibes and excellent service. Tried the salmon tartare, the pork belly, and the walnut shrimp. Salmon tartare was a strong start. Enjoyed the crispy rice. Salmon was well prepared and the pickled lotus on top added the necessary acid. You get four pieces for about 22 dollars. I felt that compared to the rest of the meal, it was a bit overpriced. The pork belly was my favorite. Really interesting take on the pickled sides. Walnut shrimp was also really good. Both these dishes had really good and balanced flavors. Nice bites of salty, savory, sweet, and acid. Would order both of these again. I did wish both of the dishes came with some sort of starch. We didn't want to order a full size of fried rice or noodles, and we weren't sure if there were smaller side options. Overall, we had a great time!

Goosefeather is the best gourmet Asian food in Westchester. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old mansion making the visit extra special. The menu is separated into 4 parts: vegetables (a must try large portion) smalls - a great variety of tapa dishes which may satisfy one person and large dishes (get two of these for 2 to 3 people) and lastly sweets. The crispy brussel sprouts were delicious with bacon, chili sambal and pistachios. Large portion. The smoked salmon fried rice with everything flavored spice was like an everything bagel, lox salad mixed with scrambled egg and soy sauce over crispy fried rice. The crème fresh rocked. Plenty for 3 people. The mochi waffle with fried spicy chicken tenders was so melt in your mouth you couldn't wait for more. Only improvement would be the waffle itself which was homemade style, not gourmet. Despite the waffle - this is a "must have"dish. The Cabernet pour was large in a beautiful long stemmed glass. The local brewery draft beer was excellent and an ice cold 16 Oz pour. The mocktails are great - three to choose from. Tasted great. There are so many items to choose from, but keep in mind if you are a party of two- the table may only hold 3 dishes. Burgers and sandwiches are next on my list to try. Also, maybe it's just me but this Mansion is either two cold in the winter (or cool spring day )or too hot in the summer. Dress accordingly in layers. Service- excellent, food comes out quickly.

I was between 3 and 4 but went with 4 because I would go back. The spicy salmon tartare and kung pao chicken wings were our favorite dishes. We also liked the mongolian cauliflower. The brussel sprouts were really strange. I thought they tasted like the fruity pebbles cereal and I don't mean that in a good way. The shaved snow pea salad wasn't bad, but I don't think I'd get it again. It's a cool building and setting, but we didn't have the best table so we didn't really get to appreciate it during the meal.

Goosefeather is a restaurant within a beautiful estate, housed in a mansion...that's potentially haunted. And that's just the start. The decor is beautiful and comfortable with bar, restaurant or patio seating. I was traveling solo, so I chose bar seating. Staff was informative and attentive and the menu items were recognizable but NEXT LEVEL. I had the potstickers, shrimp bao buns and the salmon tartare (which was too much for one person) and everything was amazing.

Monday night 30th December 2024 After many recommendations from friends and family, even on food forums, we finally made it to the wonderful Dale Talde creation of Goosefeather, situated in the King Mansion of the Tarrytown House estate. Here you are greeted by massive rooms adorned for the holidays on this eve of the eve ending 2024. The waitstaff are very attentive and in constant formation to make your experience lovely. Goosefeather serves Cantonese inspired plates to be shared. Do start off with one of their delightful libations. I enjoyed the Jaded cocktail of tequila, mezcal, lime and ginger. Yummy! We were here to celebrate our anniversary and glad we did. We enjoyed - - - Spicy Salmon Tartar on crispy rice (sublime) - Duck Bao (delicious) - Kung Pao chicken wings (so good) - Supreme fried rice (Land/Sea/Air) beautifully blended flavours - Candied Walnut Shrimp (a bit sweet for my taste, but hubs enjoyed) The evening was topped off with complimentary champagne and dessert. Cheers to us! Wishing you all a fabulous happy new year! We will definitely return in 2025... We want to see the beautiful grounds next time. Thank you!

recently had brunch here and was blown away by the entire experience. The Cantonese-inspired dishes were not only beautifully presented but bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors -- you can tell everything is made with top-quality, farm-to-table produce. The cocktails were crafted to perfection, refreshing and unique, making them the perfect pairing for a sunny garden-side brunch. Speaking of gardens, the outdoor seating area is stunning, with peaceful, lush views that make you want to linger all afternoon. The ambiance is chic yet relaxing, and the service was top-notch -- friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Goosefeather is now at the top of my list for weekend brunches and special gatherings. A perfect blend of elegant dining and laid-back vibes. Highly recommend!

We opted for a more traditional meal. The chicken corn soup had a rich broth and was loaded with chicken, corn and egg. The pan fried pork dumplings were crispy and delicious. The sesame chicken had a rich, sweet, sticky sauce on perfectly cooked chicken. The honey walnut shrimp were a delight. The portions are generous and more than enough to share. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are probably the reason for the slightly higher prices.
