This place has all sorts of variety of Asian cuisine. Chinese, Japanese, and Thai is what I saw. I got the bento box that and the best fried shrimp. The breading was great and the shrimp was good. The sushi with the bento box was ok. My wife's teriyaki chicken was good but it needed more sauce. My son ordered the orange chicken and it was so good. That may be the best out there. He also good a fried sushi roll that was good. I with close to here so I definitely will be coming here for a weekday lunch.

Avocado Salad $5! Huge portion, too much sauce.

Party of 7, got seated right away. Portions are huge! Price is very affordable. Food came out quick. Everything tasted good. Teriyaki salmon was a bit burnt. And the avocado could use less dressing.

This quaint place is situated perfectly in the neighborhood. Across from an elementary school, Steed Park and fishing pond, baseball fields, pickleball courts and next to the grocery store and dance studio, it's always got life. Don't gauge by the parking because it's within walking distance of several neighborhoods. Lunch specials with loads of options and large portions. Plenty of inside seating and a sushi bar also. Little bit of everything, Chinese, sushi and a Thai curry, Japanese bentos and donburi. Service and staff are so welcoming. DoorDash table as soon as you walk in, loaded up with orders. This place is a favorite go to, no doubt.

We love the Golden Ginger! Everything is fairly priced and always delicious. We often get the bento box because it has great variety but we've had their orange chicken and sushi rolls as well and they are so good. The service is also always very prompt and kind. We always look forward to eating here!

This place is a hole in the wall! Must come! We went in on a Tuesday evening after work and got sushi plus a Chinese dish. General Tsaos was AMAZING, and it sits on a bed of thick crunchy noodles. It also came w white rice. The tang and kick to it was just right! The dish was $12 and could be split between 2-3 ppl. The rice not so much, though. We got Vegas roll, Wasatch roll, and Texas roll. You can never go wrong w Vegas, Wasatch was good, and the Texas is a MUST. It has slices of medium rare steak. The service was not slow at all. Great spot! I highly recommend it.

They say curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction brought him back…read more Well, curiousity about Osaka Sushi & Izakaya on Heritage Blvd in Layton, did indeed about kill this cat and absolutely NO satisfaction will ever bring this one back! After sleeping with a bucket on one side of my head and a garbage can on the other, this place deserves every last bad review that they will ever receive! Waited nearly two hours for a takeout order. I had absolutely zero issues with that, provided all of my detailed instructions were followed. I explicitly requested if they were going to charge me additional fees after my initial order total then to cancel the ENTIRE order! Not only was I charged additional fees to my credit card after the fact, my instructions weren't even followed! The most expensive item (especially since I was charged almost $5 extra for requesting lettuce) was the Dynamite Poke Bowl with rotten fish, rotten produce, saturated in sauce (that I explicitly requested ON THE SIDE), and most disgusting of all, warm creamy rice that was supposedly in their "homemade cream sauce". Absolutely nowhere in the description of the Dynamite Poke Bowl did it state it was going to have rice or give you an alternative option. Whatever is in that disgusting sauce should be retired and banned from the FDA! The supposed "fish" was all shredded barely there and nevermind I didn't receive the furikake with red onions that I was also charged additional for. The Kimchi was completely sour and opening the lid on the little cup you could smell the foulness. Yes, I did try a bite of everything that I ordered to leave an appropriate review. The Kurama Ebi (prawn) shows up with it's head and shell on which wasn't a big issue because I order seafood boils all the time. However, this poor prawn was all shell, no meat, and was discolored and mushy upon peeling. The Gyutan (beef tongue) was charred aplenty, but still impossible to eat because it was way too chewy and no amount of lemons were going to help it. I really was having a great day and that's why I thought I would be 3 for 3 and try this newer popular sushi restaurant and trust me, the pricey menu items certainly don't achieve the fresh experience that all of us Sushi lovers expect. Will never return and will forever be telling everyone about this horrible waste of time and money experience. And to think I actually left them a tip on top of the overcharges. Ha!

The service is minimal. The wait staff didn't know the menu well. The karaage isn't made with boneless chicken thighs- skip it. The rice has no taste of rice vinegar. The miso soup is slightly bitter and barely passable. On the fish side, the salmon is good. The tuna and yellowtail are decent. I'd stick with the rolls, of which there are many options. Preferably deep fried.

The shoyu and tonkotsu ramen are top-notch, and the marinated eggs are delightful. I also look forward to trying the sushi burritos, which looked amazing. The shop itself is cute, cozy, and clean, with accessible parking and entry. However, the service made us feel deeply unwelcome. The friend I took to lunch has an intellectual disability, and her ultimate passions are anime and ramen. Once a month, I take her out for a special meal, and Ramen House was her choice again this month. Our previous visit was fantastic, so I was excited to go back. From the moment we arrived, the server who greeted us seemed annoyed by our presence and seated us in the farthest corner. When taking drink orders, she grew impatient with my friend, repeating the question multiple times rather than giving her space to respond, and when she did respond, the server pointed to the menu, repeating something different than what she asked for, and then ignored the girls response when she repeated her preferred order. When I tried to step in and clarify, the server ignored me and turned back to my friend. The pressure left my friend flustered and confused, and she ultimately just agreed to whatever the server suggested instead of getting what she actually wanted. My friend was talking animatedly throughout lunch. Because she rarely opens up or talks in public, seeing her so expressive was a huge win for me--it meant she felt safe and happy. Yet, the staff seemed visibly bothered. While I understand restaurant environments require balance, her talking wasn't any louder than a table of business professionals having a lively lunch. It simply felt unwelcoming and entirely lacking in basic inclusivity. Throughout the meal, basic service interactions were curt. The server avoided eye contact, displayed impatient body language when I asked for a to-go container, and dropped off the bill unceremoniously with no thank you or polite closing. There was also a long delay before she retrieved the payment--leaving me wondering if I should have walked it to the register myself. It was a stark contrast to the warm experience we had on our first visit. I am sharing this because this is my friend's absolute favorite spot, and since she only gets this outing once a month, I know she will want to return. She deserves to enjoy her favorite meal without us feeling like a burden to the staff. It was truly a heartbreaking experience to witness, and I sincerely hope the management uses this feedback to foster a more patient, welcoming environment for all guests.

We still have plenty in common, but one big difference between us is that I eventually became someone who loves trying new restaurants and new cuisine as often as possible, while he mostly sticks to the 5-6 things he loves and doesn't stray from that. But when we were talking about his favorite restaurants, Kobe was #1 on his list. Sure, it didn't have a crazy high Yelp rating, but my favorite restaurant in Tampa had a similar rating, so I was plenty open minded. Off we went! First up was the salad: I'd give it a solid 4.5-stars. I liked the crunchy stuff on top. Good start! Soup: 3-stars. This didn't do much for me. But hey, I'm not really a soup guy. Fried Rice: my friend talks up how amazing the fried rice here, but I'm thinking that most fried rice is about the same. I take a couple of bites, and I'm not sure how to describe it, but something was just a tick off about it. Not that it was bad, but I thought it was just okay. 3.5-stars in general, but downgrading it to 3 because fried rice from a hibachi place is usually such an easy win. Scallops: My absolute favorite thing at hibachi places are the scallops. They are always awesome. This time? Argh - they were alright. Now I'm getting sad. Same thing: 3.5-stars, but down to 3 because I have never had scallops from a hibachi grill that weren't 5-stars until this visit. Filet: 5-stars for the tenderness, 3-stars for the flavor. It was really lacking salt. But I'd forgotten about the dipping sauce! That will surely make it better, right? Sadness. The dipping sauce was to subtle that it didn't really make any difference. Another 3.5-stars graded to 3 on a curve. This also ended up being the most expensive meal during my stay in Utah. And when I compare it to my trip to Benihana a few months earlier, it was clearly a step below that in just about every way, and I gave Benihana 4-stars. The worst part of the experience was the pressure of my friend grilling me about what I thought the whole time. I'm an honest person, but they were staring through my soul. I ultimately said I'd rate it 4-stars, but as I was writing this review, I just couldn't do it. If I lived in the area, I would view this as a place that I wouldn't really ever need to go back to. And if that's the case, how can I give it 4-stars? If you ever read this review, I'm sorry broski. I still love you. Maybe you can come to Houston and write a 3-star review of my favorite place and we'll call it even?

We got our drinks quickly and they gave us great recommendations of what rolls to order. We ended up getting three rolls, a bento box, and two orders of yakisoba noodles for the little ones. The kids noodles came after our food which was a little hard for them (they have zero patience) but the amount of food we ordered was enough to share with them before they got their order. The portions were massive. We absolutely loved our sushi rolls. My husband and I talked about the cosmopolitan roll being one of the best rolls we have had!
