Have to say the Miso soup was beyond anything that I've ever had anywhere before. Absolutely amazing. Something about it made it *sweeter* in flavor, and by God, you're just like, "give me more"! Tried the Screaming Roll (hoping it would make me scream from spiciness... sadly, it did not:-(. It was prepared as a Maki roll which made the rice just a bit too overflowing for my liking. Budget sushi and ramen house and the food tastes like it. I would skip it unless you're into discounted deep fried rolls. The decor is minimalist but it's well lit and is clean. The service is minimal. The wait staff didn't know the menu well. The karaage isn't made with boneless chicken thighs- skip it. The rice has no taste of rice vinegar. The miso soup is slightly bitter and barely passable. On the fish side, the salmon is good. The tuna and yellowtail are decent. I'd stick with the rolls, of which there are many options. When we arrived for our date night dinner, the parking lot was surprisingly empty (not usually a great sign), but after trying the food, I can't believe this place isn't packed! One of the main reasons I chose this restaurant was because they have a robot that serves food, which I thought was such a cool idea. Unfortunately, it seemed to be out of order, just sitting at the front the entire time. I hadn't planned on ordering a drink, but my husband convinced me to try the Purple Haze, which is a hot sake and wine combo. I'm so glad I did! It was delicious, but definitely best enjoyed while it's still warm. First time visitor and it was okay. I ordered gyoza, mussel shooter's, spicy shrimp roll, miso soup, and a squid salad. The Gyoza (comes with 6) was some of the best that I've had anywhere. They were really crisp and abundantly filled. The squid salad was smaller than other restaurants and was extremely dry. Bone dry and very bland, in fact. It was okay but probably something that I wouldn't order again. The Mussel Shooter's (comes with two) are absolutely delicious! Includes quail egg, tobiko, scallions, ponzu sauce, and are an exquisite delight. The spicy shrimp roll didn't look at all like the photo shown on their menu. It also was very dry and bland. No amount of ginger or spicy mayo could help it! I desperately needed some Chinese mustard that I have back home. The miso soup was a delicious warm treat with seaweed, scallions, and maybe tofu (IDK because I didn't see any). Me and my boyfriend had a great time here. My boyfriend has a shellfish allergy, I know worst place to go to but the server and the chiefs were so nice about it and made sure to be super careful as to no cross contamination. The service was excellent the girl serving us was super sweet and friendly and helped us choose between rolls and they were all phenomenal. The ramen was a perfect balance of flavor and warmth that me and my boyfriend both went wide eyed and were in awe of the ramen. We were also in awe of the sushi. The Sakura and Sweetheart roll were so sweet and delicious that we were both very shocked by the take on sushi. The other rolls were also delicious. The ambiance of the place is a little scary on the outside but the inside is so nice looking they even have a robot that moves around too which was very cool. 10/10 would recommend!! read more
