I haven't been to Australia since 2016 and though I've looked at getting another pair of these boots online this sort of investment isn't the kind I like to make without an IRL try on. Thus, when I discovered that R.M.Williams had a store in New York I was very excited. I finally made it down to their Spring Street outpost earlier this month. Corey was very helpful to me. He brought pretty much every brown boot they had in my size. I ended up with the Erica (women's) in tan but I was close to getting the Craftsman (unisex). A note on sizing: I typically wear a 6.5 (US) or 37 (EU) in most shoes. Corey let me know my current boots (Comfort Turnout, which are unisex) are 6 (US) / 37 (EU). I got the Erica boots in the same size but their women's shoes are a slightly narrower fit. Corey also said something that I agree with: the worst day for a pair of boots is the first day you wear them. Still, they looked (and felt) gorgeous in the store and I'm very much looking forward to breaking them in.

She knew the line, knew what would fit me and was an excellent person to guide me through the process. She listened when I told her what I was looking for. I can't say enough good things about her and the store. I wish all the places I shopped had such outstanding customer service. Ended up purchasing Chestnut Brown Comfort Craftsman. This is not BS but when I slippedon the boot, I knew it was the one. It was a great fit, super comfortable instantaneously. Now that I am home and boots have arrived (had them shipped quickly in immaculate packaging). They fit even better than I recall. I have worn them daily and can't wait to grab another color.

While I may buy something there (maybe in Firenze), I wanted something broken in for anticipated walking. Rolled the dice on 3 pairs (Premier and Legacy low tops) and landed quite well, with some help. da Shoes: They are BEAUTIFUL, tight seams, attention to detail. Breaking them in by walking around the house for the next few weeks in hopes they'll be ready for a EuroTrip ("mi scusi") soon. Fingers crossed and will definitely update after they been properly worn to see how they stand up. da Service: From arms length, customer service was GREAT. I didn't think to look them up in Yelp! of all places, I always think of food when it comes to Yelp!... I was surprised (and worried) about the CS comments. Speaking to my experience, I ordered my normal sizes (which are different for wide and standard). The order got here QUICK, a couple of days... they shipped out of Ohio (which is weird since no storefront there?). They were all a full size too small, so I sent them back (super easy online return) and received the replacements in the same quick turn-around. YMMV, but my online experience couldn't have been better! So... watch for an update in a few months and I'll comment on how they performed while traveling and how they're holding up. If they do well... BOOTS next!

After a very long and stressful back-and-forth online (that I wish hadn't been necessary), they eventually agreed to offer store credit instead. Not an ideal experience overall, but I do appreciate that they ultimately made an effort to help. At the company's request, I'm updating this review to reflect that.

I mean, I think he's spent quite a bit of money here and I would feel terrible if these tales of "fakes" and "poor quality" were true.  He just bought me my first pair of Mally's here (as shown in my pictures). I did some research. Apparently you can find them on yoox for what looks like much cheaper, but I don't know if they're real Mallys. I also went on the actual Mally website and yes they are really Italian shoes and they describe themselves as "medium high quality level." To be honest, I'm not totally sure what that means, but I liken it too upper middle class.  ANYWAY, in my pictures you can see that the shoes are branded as "made in Italy." I have to question how the one reviewer knows that it was most definitely a "made in China" sticker that was removed if the customer has never actually seen the sticker itself. The box my shoes came in also said "made in Italy"; granted, you can put shoes in any box, but there is also the same branding on the shoe itself.  Finally, my brother told me that the shoes he bought here over the years really have lasted and mold to your feet. The mold to your feet part means the leather sort of stretches so that the shoes become comfortable if they don't already start out comfortable. I'm not sure if this is really true as I haven't had my pair for very long yet. Overall, however, I had a pleasant experience at this store. I really love the pair of shoes I got and the other shoes they had were nice as well. Would I have liked to spend less on them? Of course, but now they are the most special pair of shoes I own.

Additionally, there're several brightly-lit, various themed vanity rooms all the way in the back with a full body mirror in each of them. Price of shoes would range from approximately $150 to $300 (lowest to highest). I believe they accept both credit/debit card or cash but please correct me if I am wrong.
