Fast-forward to now and I wanted something to stomp around with on an upcoming trip to the EU. While I may buy something there (maybe in Firenze), I wanted something broken in for anticipated walking. Rolled the dice on 3 pairs (Premier and Legacy low tops) and landed quite well, with some help. da Shoes: They are BEAUTIFUL, tight seams, attention to detail. Breaking them in by walking around the house for the next few weeks in hopes they'll be ready for a EuroTrip ("mi scusi") soon. Fingers crossed and will definitely update after they been properly worn to see how they stand up. da Service: From arms length, customer service was GREAT. I didn't think to look them up in Yelp! of all places, I always think of food when it comes to Yelp!... I was surprised (and worried) about the CS comments. Speaking to my experience, I ordered my normal sizes (which are different for wide and standard). The order got here QUICK, a couple of days... they shipped out of Ohio (which is weird since no storefront there?). They were all a full size too small, so I sent them back (super easy online return) and received the replacements in the same quick turn-around. YMMV, but my online experience couldn't have been better! So... watch for an update in a few months and I'll comment on how they performed while traveling and how they're holding up. After buying dress shoes from them and wearing them for one evening, I came home with significant foot pain. I reached out to ask whether a refund might be possible, but they declined and initially only offered 50% credit toward new purchases from their warehouse selection after returning the item, so not ideal. After a very long and stressful back-and-forth online (that I wish hadn't been necessary), they eventually agreed to offer store credit instead. I ordered a leather jacket that didn't fit due to their very slim "athletic" cut. When I contacted customer service, I was met mostly with explanations about policies and restocking fees tied to their warehouse sale rather than real help. After multiple emails and escalation, a manager eventually stepped in. Unfortunately, the replacement jacket arrived in terrible condition. The jacket was basically thrown into a small box with no protective packaging, and the shipping box looked like it had been kicked across the country. This was the replacement for a jacket I had carefully returned in its original box with hanger and proper packaging. For a brand that markets itself as a premium boot and leather company, the quality control and customer experience were far below expectations. First impressions matter. Ordered a $360 leather jacket on the 25th of July. It was supposed to be delivered on Monday. Today is Thursday still nothing. They sent it FedEx and halfway through had it transferred to a post office in a city an hour away. No updates since the 1st. I emailed and was basically told I haven't waited long enough and to give them more time. It was due on the 3rd and today is the 6th!?!! I think I've been very gracious thank you! I called and ended up getting a store location versus custom service. When I asked how to get a hold of customer service she said there wasn't a phone number to get to them directly. She said she would email them and HOPEFULLY I would get a call back from someone with a real answer!!! I called FedEx they have no idea where the package is but they're "really sorry for the inconvenience". Called the post office they also have no idea where the package is!?!?! What the heck?!?! I recently purchased my first pair of Thursday Captain's via Thursday Boot Company on Amazon Australia. I wore them a couple of times and noticed a crack at the top of the sole near the welt. Upon closer inspection, it was evident that it was a manufacturing defect and that a very poor attempt had been made at trying to fix/hide it. A black sticky product had been used to try and hold the upper sole together and mask the defect. It looks like a botched 'repair' happened at the factory and a clearly defective boot was then shipped. Considering the boots cost US$275 (AU$399) in Australia, this is disappointing to see such poor quality control and even worse that boots are still being shipped after such a horribly botched repair job. I bought the boots based on the reputation of the brand and it's extremely disappointing to see such practices. Clearly the Thursday Boots factory doesn't know the meaning of "handcrafted with integrity". At least the customer service experience from Thursday Boots has been very positive once I reported the issue to them. The communication was prompt and if anything they seemed to be focused on getting as much detail as possible to pass on to their production team. read more

I could not find a phone number to speak with anybody so I went through the website to do an exchange and was told many days later they do not have the jacket in stock and they'd be happy to refund my money or choose another. I have been huge fan of Thursday boots. The one thing that I wanted to do when I came to New York was come to this store in SoHo. It did not disappoint at all. After years of scouring their website, I finally got to see everything that I wanted with their bags, their boot line and the actual store because they don't have one in LA. I felt like I was in a luxury boot store. The staff was so friendly. He answered all my questions and added a little bantering conversation as well. Utter failure in customer service. These shoes are less than 90 days old and have been worn fewer than five times because they cause severe foot pain and are simply not wearable. After extensive back-and-forth with customer service, I was told the last used for this model is designed for wide, flat feet...which does not match my foot at all. That alone explains the problem, yet no meaningful solution was offered. Instead of standing behind their product or showing any flexibility, they refused to offer store credit or a reasonable exchange so I could try a different style. Their only "solutions" were to offer me free return shipping (yay, $12 savings) or offer a 50% discount to spend even more money on a brand that already failed me. I understand companies need policies, but good companies also understand customer experience and long-term loyalty. As a first-time customer, this was a perfect opportunity to make it right. I recently ordered a pair of the Premier Low Top in Deep Blue. They did an excellent job on the style and pricing. I've been a longtime ECCO customer, but their prices have become quite high, and your offering was very appealing. The upper is clearly made from quality leather and appears to be well-constructed. However, the shoes are unfortunately very uncomfortable. After about an hour of wear, I find I need to change into another pair, and because of this, I likely won't continue wearing them. The overall fit feels clunky, as though most of the design focus went into the upper, with less attention given to the sole and footbed. As of yesterday I am on the 5th shipment a month later. Boots are still wrong. No resolution and being ignored by customer service. There is no phone number to contact for this company it just refers to email when you call it . They will get back to you at their Leisure if they get back to you at all usually taking several days . This process has been incredibly difficult, and the most recent shipment I received yesterday has only added to my disappointment. On a trip to NY with the wife, I really wanted to check out Thursday Boot Co. due to them being US made and having really great looking styles. We were not disappointed! KT assisted us and he was so helpful even after we tried on several styles each. He always had helpful advice and we ended up getting boots and a pair of their sneakers. I haven't worn them out for a day, but they were super comfortable in the store and I think they're only going to get better as they break in. For me it involved an unfortunate convergence between their generous return policy and their gift card policy. Without recounting the whole story, here's what future customers need to know: if you make a purchase using a gift card and the shoes don't fit right, it's a great option to be able to order another size and compare them, then send one back for refund. But if you do, make sure to ask about what will happen to your gift card credit if you send back the pair that was bought with the gift card. You might be better off sending back that pair, waiting on the refund, then re-ordering the right size with the reloaded gift card. read more

Have been in multiple times. I like their shoes but they all styles fit incredibly different (I'm between a size 10 and a 7.5 depending on the boot) so can't just order online. Of the 4 times I've been, I've never left w a purchase because the customer service is so aggravating. You have to wait a long long time between each shoe they bring you and are lucky if they bring out the shoe you asked for. The staff is not knowledgeable, completely absent minded, distracted, indifferent, just not at all helpful and completely disappears for minutes on end. This is for the product I purchased in SoHo location. I cannot find their yelp page. I purchased a pair of low cut premium white sneakers after reading so many glowing reviews. The shoes are not comfortable, gave me blisters and the sole is thin, not comfortable. The sales people somehow insisted me on getting the tighter size rather than my normal (a little loose fit) size because the shoes will be stretched. They do not and not the way that make your feet comfortable. I wasted $145 because they refuse to do anything. I purchased two pair of shoes, from the Westgate location, Gardenia State Plaza. I went to exchange because they were to tight. Sales rep was not helpful stating one pair had been worn outside. Hm, interesting store experience. In the past, i have received heavy advertising from them through social media. I read about them, learned about their mission, and got a nice pair of premier low top sneakers, which are comfy and stylish. I decided to go into the store today as I have a formal event coming up this weekend. Unfortunately, they didn't carry the black aviators, but no matter, I was flexible. I asked for the broadways in size 11, but an associate said they were out. Another associate helped me try on some boots, which I didn't end up liking, but made the comment that dress shoes should be downsized by 0.5 from normal. I see a third associate, and she helps me find broadways in size 10.5. Hooray! However, i do notice that their is some scuffing on the bottom of the sole, and my wife recently had trouble returning a pair of unworn shoes because of dirty soles. I ask the associate, and turns out no one can help confirm the condition of the shoe as returnable quality, but she suggests i take a photo of the shoe in store. I take the photo and make my purchase but now that I'm sporting a size 10.5, i ask if they have any extra broadways in 10.5 (hopefully with pristine soles). Turns out they did, and I walked out with those. TLDR: Great shoes but had to do a lot of my own legwork to get the right shoe in the right condition. read more

I ordered their top tier boot ($525) hoping for a high-quality item. I have 10 pair of Allen Edmond. Thursday boots are not in the same park as AE. They were clunky and a bit heavy. Not the end of the world, but returning them has been a nightmare. Their customer service number is not truly a customer service number. (866-475-9104) It goes directly to a message. Emailing them is no better. They respond in days never promptly. They received my unworn and not even tried on return and 20 days later...still no refund. They "need" 15 "business" days to inspect the boot. It never touched my foot. The entire process has been frustrating. I also ordered 8 pair of socks at a cost of $108. Attempting to return them was equally challenging to the point I kept them. I was informed they were under $80 and not eligible for a return. Ridiculous! read more

For an online company, I really appreciate that they have a store so you can try one almost all of their shoes in person!! I couldn't try the Captain's stormking since they just came out in shiny black color. Luckily, I could order the same size online by trying out other boots in the same line. I've worn these in rain and they've kept my feet very wet. I no longer have to worry about walking in puddles. They also keep my feet very, very warm and I'm absolutely happy with my purchase. They're also very easy to break into. Service is a mixed bag. The person who helped me seemed like she wasn't mentally there (not sure what the reason is). It was very, very odd. My questions were being answered like I was talking to a middle schooler and I was patient throughout. She then left me alone out of the blue after she gave me my shoes. Hey All, So this review is solely on the disappointment that this store is not really a shopping store but more of a fitting store. When I say this I mean, I went here with my husband to obviously pick up two pairs of boots each!! Because these boots are bomb and they are hand made and everything about them is wonderful!! But when we got here the customer service was so so and then they didn't have any products to buy it was more of a try them one place. On top of that for all my ladies with small feet they didn't even have any size 5's to try on. Definitely disappointed.
