Wanted to share our experience and special thank you to Lisa at Golden Optometry. My son has been going to Golden Optometry for several years now. At the beginning my 11-12 year old son was quite timid and fearful however under care of Lisa and her co-worker Mimi it really help put him at ease. My son is now 14, more active lifestyle playing water polo and swimming competitions. On our recent visit Lisa suggested Ortho K to us after several years of wearing glasses. Although Ortho K is expensive we weren't pushed into it. I knew, all the way, that Lisa cared for my son and his needs. We were more than "another customer" to her. I walked in and was greeted by Mimi, whom I believe is the office manager. She is extremely nice and friendly. Sixteen years ago, I met two handsome European men wearing beautiful Cartier sunglasses in a store in New York City. I liked the style so I immediately bought two pairs of Cartier sunglasses for my sons. They both loved the glasses very much. Every time my older son came to California for business trips, he always used it. After moving to California, we lived very close to my younger son. He took care of us and helped us a lot. And my young daughter-in-law often made Scones to us. I decided to buy them a gift in return. Neiman-Marcus, Bloomingdales, and saks do not carry Cartier sunglasses or have very limited styles in the store. Therefore I made a casual call to a optical shop in the city. The girl who answered the phone was very polite and gentle and she introduced various styles of glasses to me one by one. She also sent me the catalog of Carrier sunglasses. I forwarded the catalog to my sons and daughter-in-laws. They were very excited and selected the top choices for themselves. We decided to visit the store to see the merchandises. I didn't expect that the shop was so beautiful, clean and spacious. Because the store manager, Mimi, was so nice and knowledgeable, I bought 5 pairs of Cartier sunglasses right away and put down 50% deposit for her to order them from Europe. The day before yesterday the sunglasses came from Italy. In the afternoon, we went to Mimi's store with our younger son and daughter-in-law. Mimi patiently adjusted the glasses for them until they felt comfortable to wear. Mimi also said that she would do any adjustment for free in the future. My older son and daughter-in-law lived out of state, Mimi also shipped them the package by UPS The day before yesterday. It's a bigger place than what you might expect by just looking at the façade and inside is very spotless, and beautifully modern. It was my first time going to this place after looking for a decent local optometry in Irvine and I don't regret having come to this place I knew nothing about. From the get go, I had a good impression with the safety precautions they were taking for COVID and with the staff's warm and professional help. As for the eye exam my Dr. was very kind and informative. I dotted him with questions and he answered each of them with extreme patience and dedication. Came to check out the new location since I was a patient from the Rowland Heights Office. This place has a very modern decor and looks very clean. They have some really nice Chrome Hearts glasses as well which is my favorite brand. Mimi was really nice, she helped answer all my questions and is extremely knowledgeable. I had been interested in getting lasik but always have doubts. Mimi was able to help me schedule a free lasik consultation and hopefully the doctors will put my mind at ease.
