David did a great job on fixing our lock. Our lock was jammed and I could not open the door with my key. I texted a picture of the lock, David texted me back right away with a quote, and he scheduled to come that day. He quickly was able to replace the bolt and lube the different parts. He also readjusted the frame stop and lubed the other parts of the door so that there was no squeaking. He cleaned everything up and tested it several times. Everything is working like new. David gave me a quote of $95 dollars, I texted him her address and he arrived within 15 minutes and had her door opened in less than 60 seconds, without damaging anything! I bought his Yelp coupon deal online and she payed David cash so he gave her another $5 off. In total, with the coupon it cost us $80 to have her door opened, undamaged, in 16 minutes. In addition, David stayed in constant communication with me from start to finish, updating his ETA, letting me know when he opened her door, telling me about the $5 off for paying with cash, and also letting me know when he left. David was really prompt in his replies to my inquiries about re-keying a new condo. He sent his brother, Nathan, out to complete the job within the next hour. They also informed me of all the costs upfront. A few days later, I contacted David because none of the duplicated keys that I got from a local hardware store worked with the master keys Nathan gave me. David quickly came over to make extra keys for me, making sure that these ones do work. He indicated that their keys have more levels of security and sometimes the ones made at the hardware stores won't fit. I've never been so compelled to write a review but David really deserves 6 stars for his quick response and even quicker and efficient service!! Our front door lock was not working and my husband tried but ultimately was unable to fix it. We made so many trips to Home Depot and Lowes and was going to drill a new hole in the door to replace the whole lock and handle. Finally we decided to search Yelp and contacted David. He responded very quickly and made time for us on a Sunday when he only takes emergencies on Sundays. He fixed the door right away and we didn't even have to replace the whole thing. After 22 years of living in my house, I did a silly thing and locked my keys in my car in my garage, which is not attached to my house. At night. Called Golden from Yelp. David was out in the timeframe he gave; after I sent a photo of the lock at his request, he gave a very reasonable flat fee, had me in the door within moments without damaging the lock,and stuck to his initial estimate. He was charming, and professional. He explained that he asks for a photo so he can evaluate a fair fee and the customer can take comfort in the knowledge that they won't get "bait and switched" after he arrives. So he is an honest locksmith-not like some that will give you a low price, then break your lock and gouge you for a new one once they get there. David made a couple of suggestions for upgrades that I could have installed to avoid this happening again. When I do them, I will call David to do the work. Thank you David!
