Really a spectacular experience. David was very responsive and professional. I texted him a picture and video of the problem with my lock and he quickly responded with an accurate quote to fix the problem. He was on time and very efficient. He's also a bit of a perfectionist which was really nice, because even though he was there to repair a lock he couldn't help himself but improve the alignment of various other components. OMG, I don't even know where to begin to thank David. He came to our rescue even after-hours to open a keypad door lock with dead batteries. My son couldn't get in the house and I was out of town, so I had to coordinate everything over the phone and texting with a 3-hour time difference but David was so understanding and patient and solved not only the problem of getting my son in the house but kept the lock intact, drilling only the cylinder to be replaced, saving us from having to replace the entire keypad-lock system. He even provided follow-up advice and provided his service for a very reasonable fee; I will recommend him to everyone! David was fantastic to work with. We forgot our padlock key for our storage locker and had left it far in San Diego. I called 5 different locksmiths in Irvine and each one gave me a quick quote without asking what type of lock it was etc. all quoted high without caring what the job entailed. David was the only one that wanted to understand what the lock looked like with the locker door so that he can access the true cost of the job. Btw, getting more accurate only helped me as he was able to determine if it was a quick fix which would cost half of the quoted price range given by all of the rough estimates. So he was always looking to SAVE me money. When he got to the storage, he even tried his best to pick to lock so we could reuse it and not expend as much $ to break it. At the end, the lock was designed to be pretty secure so that no one would be able to break in (as it should), so he expertly drilled the lock to open the door without damaging the storage door or anything other than the lock. We had a deadbolt that started sticking due to the house settling and placing a strain on the deadbolt. I contacted David here on Yelp and he responded immediately with an appointment to meet in a few days (I was taking a day off work anyway so I could afford to schedule ahead). David arrived as promised and gave me a couple options; because the deadbolt is a matched set with the handle, he could replace the deadbolt with a new one but it wouldn't necessarily match the handle, so he said he would take apart the deadbolt to see if it could be repaired. He quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed the damaged pin that caused the sticking, and then went the extra mile by adjusting the strike plate so that the deadbolt no longer requires me to push against the door to relieve the tension, talk about superior customer service! David gave me his cell in case there are any problems but I really don't anticipate any based on his knowledge, diagnosis, and repair of the problem. I was so satisfied that I had him rekey a deadbolt to the garage door that I hadn't bothered rekeying to the same lock as the rest of the house. Because it had been so long, I didn't have the original key, but David was able to pick that lock and rekeyed it, saving me having to buy a new deadbolt. David is a super friendly guy to boot, I highly recommend him for any of your lock problems! read more

Wow! The reviews were spot on! David was absolutely fantastic. He was prompt and let us know he was on his way, showed up as promised and was quick to work. He explained ever part of the process so we understood what he was doing. He had us test all of the new locks and keys to make sure they worked and that our old keys did not. We were missing an original key for one of the locks and he was able to fix that for us as well as adjust our front door so that the lock now opens with ease.
