Ugh. Locked myself out as I was about to drive my two kids to preschool and go to work. Had a lockout at my home in Orange County. Called and he picked right up. He told me that he was about an an hour away, and that I should try to find someone who was closer if I needed service faster, even though it meant that he would lose the job. Without my asking, he volunteered advice on how to find a competent locksmith that was closer and the right price to pay. When he was done with his job, he called to make sure that I had found someone and offered to come if I hadn't. Its a rare treat to find someone who seems to care more about helping other people in distress than he does about lining his pockets, and I'm pleased to say that this guy seems to be one of those rare gems. I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to reward his helpfulness and honesty with my business. Hopefully, this review will suffice. :) One final note: He does speak with a heavy accent, and I did have to ask him to repeat himself a couple of times. His voicemail box appeared to be full when I called him back to tell him that I found someone else, and so if he doesn't pick-up, you may not be able to leave him a message. That's not surprising since he's the #1 rated locksmith near my Orange County house on Yelp. Don't let that dissuade you from calling him if you need the assistance of a locksmith. David and Nathan were fantastic to work with. My email and phone contact were mainly with David and I can tell you he is very knowledgeable and thorough. I had a lock and entry door handle set replaced. The prices were fair and the service excellent. Anytime I called or emailed, I got a reply right away. They also tried very hard to accommodate my hectic schedule! When my appointment time came, Nathan showed up to uninstall my old lock and handle and put the new one on. Through every step he was explaining what he was doing. He was very polite and neat. Also wanted me to make sure that I tested the lock and handle to make sure I was happy with the hardware and install. He also measured multiple times so that the handle and lock were straight and in place. After install, he cleaned up the mess and was able to make an extra key on the spot. That was certainly convenient because I had planned to go to Lowes to get copies after he left. That saved me a trip! Honest, fast & reliable service! David was the first locksmith I reached out to due to all the great reviews on yelp.... they are all true. Had an urgent job, needed 3 locks rekeyed. He was at my home 45 mins after my call, communicated at every step of the way. He text me when he arrived which was at the time he promised, finished the job within 20-30 mins, gave me a 3 month warranty, encouraged me to check all the locks to make sure the old key didn't work, and gave me two keys for each lock! When I asked how much he'd charge for extra copies of keys, he recommended getting extra keys at Home Depot for cheaper. He is a nice guy... professional, trustworthy, and honest.
