OK, I was visiting from out of town and just needed some place close to where my daughter in law was going to see a doctor. This place was practically next door. While I got a decent pedicure, I was not impressed at all. First the bathroom could use some serious cleaning up and the sinks didn't work but had some sort of debris in them. On the way out I found a sink to wash my hands. They do not use pedicure bowl liners and simply sprayed with some sort of cleaner when I left. Also, did not see a sterilizer for their tools. And the pedicure I got was just ok. The technician didn't clean under the nails and I didn't make a fuss because I was iffy about their equipment to begin with. I left there looking ok, but since I don't live near here, I don't have to worry about coming back. Sorry, I hate giving just 2 stars. read more

The entire place is dirty, they reuse tools without cleaning them, they have an employee doing nails that isn't trained to, and they will rip you off. I usually go in and have Hannah or Cynthia wax my eyebrows and they do an amazing job. My usual nail place was busy so I went here instead what a mistake! Simon did my nails he cut me with the drill on 4 fingers! His sanding technique was like dragging fingernails on a chalkboard. Every single nail is crooked too short and too thin even after I pointed out each one of those mistakes in plenty of time to fix the problem. It was over an hour and we weren't even close to done. When my nails were painted they're full of air bubbles. I noticed later that my nails aren't fully flush to the acrylic. It's a cluster to say the least. $40 later and I can't wait to get them off and done properly. read more

AVOID. It may seem cheap, but the results are terrible. I went to get a fill on my nails. Simon tore up my cuticles with the drill, making 5 of my fingers bleed. I told him he was being tough and my nails hurt and are starting to bleed, but he was so tuned out it didn't phase him. I repeated it several times. The nail polish was put on sloppily, but I let that go. I sat under the drier for 20 minutes, but my nails didn't fully dry for another 3 hours..leaving the nail polish all gathered and 'slumped' down the nail. I redid the polish on my own the next day. I'd avoid getting nails or toenails done by this man. Maybe some of the women are better...but this guy is brutal...read the rest of the reviews and believe them. Ouch! read more

I have been here a few times before but my last experience will be the reason I am not returning. The man they have working there is horrible. He made almost every cuticle but 2 bleed, did my acrylic so thin all the corners of the tips broke off, the acrylic that he did use isn't smoothed down so it's all lumpy, when he painted them and was getting the extra nail polish out of my fingers he wiped the nail polish off his nail and would wipe it on to the top of my hand. AND LAST BUT NO LEAST he burped In my face about 7 times through all of this. When I called to complain they acted like nothing was wrong and told me that since I couldn't make it in that day I was not going to get my money back or new nails. I can't believe I paid for them in the first place. So if you like golden nails, keep going. Just call, make an appointment and get one of the girls. read more

I had my nails done here last Friday. The man did them... they are lifting already! He didn't form the acrylic to fit my nails with minimal filing. My cuticle on 3 fingers are scabs I'm sure the other cuticles would be scabs also if the acrylic wasn't up over the cuticles! They are extremely thin and sharp as hell on the corners. I'm very disappointed I had to wait for him to finish his lunch at 10am then had to deal with the rude burping also. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone and WILL NOT return! I could have saved myself half of what I paid and did them myself if I wanted them to look as shitty as they do now!!! We've been going to this nail salon for quite sometime. between getting nails & brows done My daughter got a manicure/shellac within 4 days exact the color started popping off. My shellac polish came off in a weeks time. Lady who polished my nails did a crappy job....Typically one nail would be painted differently ~ when asked she said I can just color over...I did say silver that's why she got the silver polish... Hanna does a great job but, the salon is dirty. Why the health department doesn't go in and review them is beyond me. The other pet peeve I have is, even if I make an appointment I have to wait while they put someone else first. Very nice people, not organized and dirty. read more

Went in with an appt for a pedicure. The guy told me to sit down in the first pedi chair. When I looked, the empty basin had left over skin debris from the last customer. I asked if it was clean and I'm assuming this woman may be his wife- told me to sit in a different chair. As I'm waiting for someone to start my water I noticed the only other customer in the store get up from her pedicure. The guy only wiped the basin out with her old towel and that was it!! They are not cleaning and disinfecting!! While I'm waiting he then proceeds to lay a big toddler on the couch and start changing the boys diaper in view, while a customer waits! He calls the women to finish the dirty job and then comes to me. As he starts the water I notice that the towel that is laying for my use has white crud on and clippings on it!! I point at the mess and ask if the towel is clean and he says yes. I ask again while pointing and he sighs loudly while saying, "oh my god." He flips the towel onto the opposite side and lays it back down. At this point I'm so disgusted that I chuckle to keep my composure. He then says, "Do you want it or not?" And holds the salt product over the water as if he may or may not add it. He says oh you don't want it. Turns off the half filled tub of water and walks off. I got up to leave in disbelief! This place is unsanitary and the guy is VERY rude. I don't think they really want customers. No wonder they only ever have two customers max when I stop. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! They do a great pedicure and if you like thin acrylic nails, Cynthia is the one to go to. Hannah does a great backfill and a dig in deep, without being painful pedicure. Simon has strong hands for a good pedi massage, but the putrefy itself is superficial, no digging deep. Great place! read more

Got a wax done and had an allergic reaction. I like the shape but whatever was used caused an allergic reaction... I tried to call the store and Simon answered the phone where all he told me was it wasn't his fault! I asked if I could speak to someone else and he told me no one else was available... I asked if he could go into the waxing room to look what kind of product was used for the soothing cream and he told me that's not his job and he's working? Not a good place at all. I had a pedicure here on a whim a few months ago and I will never return. Was literally the worst pedicure of my life. It was extremely painful, from the trimming and shaping of my toenails to the massage. The polish application was horrible. It was almost as if the nail tech, who was a man, had double vision. There was a strip of polish missing from one side of each nail, but on the other side it was all over the skin next to the nail. I highly suggest you look elsewhere. read more

She does a great job of keeping them thin and more natural looking because she knows it's what I like. Often, if I do color, people aren't sure if they are real or fake it's great. Was horrible... A man did my nails didn't get his name. I got a full set he talked negative about the other customers. He even let me go in front of a nice lady just because he didn't like her, who had an appointment! He was very rough, don't remember how many times I said "ow" I'm never going back even got a couple of scabs now. My set came out ugly, uneven he cut them with scissors something I have never seen before. Paint job sucks as well. The place looked dirty and unprofessional! Save yourself! I have been meaning to write a review for this business for months. Cynthia does a great job keeping my nails looking good. Other places have always hurt me. They grind the nail down to the point that it burns, or they rip the acrylic off, when they lift or need a new set. Cynthia has never hurt me and does not tear off the acrylic. Why in all the time (years) that I have had my nails done, had no one ever done a backfill on me? I had no idea that I was even missing out! The prices can't be beat, so that's a nice bonus as well. Had a bikini wax done by Cynthia. She was AWESOME. I have been to so many spas and wax centers and she was the best so far. Of course, it is not comfortable, but a lot better than most. Even better, the price was only $30 when the going rate around here is $50. I will definitely return. read more

My daughter got acrylic nails for the first time for a dance. She had a very friendly gentleman helping her. She said it didn't hurt and he took his time and asked her questions about the dance, etc. We will definitely come back to Golden Nail! read more
