I like this place, it's not overpriced and the work is generally pretty good. After going a few times I've realized some of the nail technicians are better than others. You can show them a picture of what you want and they try to accomplish something similar or same which I do appreciate. I get gel nails that are typically $35, French Tip gel is more, like in the picture. The staff are all very friendly and polite. Walk in appointments are accommodated for. The one thing I could say needs improvement is that general cleanliness could be a bit better. Otherwise a good place to go in Silverdale! read more

Happy Nails Review - part 1 Called at 5pm and asked if they had time for a fill? They said yes so I got there within 8 minutes. I sat at a nail station 25 minutes watching the lady next to me have her nails done, they looked decent enough I guess. And then the nail Tech who did her nails moved over to to my nails. (I should have left) My nails look terrible, they are so short, crooked, one of my middle fingernails is square, the polish doesn't cover what she left of my nails. Worst nails I've ever had done in my life. They should have told me No they were busy and didn't have time , instead they squeezed me in and rushed me through because they were closing. I had an appointment for a manicure and pedicure, but everything was done in about 30 minutes. I requested an acrylic manicure, but there was no attention to my cuticles and very little care put into the appearance of my nails. The polish was messy and ended up on my skin. A couple weeks ago, there was a specific nail trend I had seen on TikTok and at the time, they didn't have the nail supplies to replicate it. They went out of their way to buy the supplies and notify me they had those colors and supplies in stock and even gave me a $20 discount for the inconvenience?! Absolutely wonderful people and I love the atmosphere of the nail salon. I'm always having friendly conversations with whoever is setting next to me. One of the nail techs is pretty familiar with pretty much every customer's personal life and makes sure to ask personable questions. Couldn't find a more mindful and caring place. read more

I've been a client for 6 years and I've had mixed service over the years. I have stuck with them as a loyal customer. The last few times I've come in I've had to wait well over 2 hours in the chair in various stages of my manicure and then have a rushed, slapdash dip. The last time I was in foils for over an hour. Yikes! They take "appointments" by phone while doing nails and don't write them down. That means everyone is a walk in and they never turn away business. That's bad for everyone: clients and nail techs. They pack the chairs and rush through service. They make clients wait in the middle of the manicure (so you're trapped). They chair hop mid-service, so one tech will start your manicure and another will finish. The husband and wife team who were a large part of the business recently moved to Sonoma, and the rest of the staff are in over their heads. If they don't change their practices, I see bad things in their future. read more

If I could give this place a minus n stars I would. First we go in at our appointment time. They sat us in a bowl where we getting our pedicure. We waited 50 minutes for someone to start. We didn't ho cheep we got the deluxe pedicure. They cut my skin, brought out an actual cheese crater to do the bottoms of my daughters feet and didn't even do a good job. Since Hannah has left, this place has gone to complete and utter disaster. If they tell you 20 minutes or schedule you an appointment expect to still be taken as a walk in. The ladies who have been there for the long haul do great on nails but the guy and a few of the new people not so much. They are willing to fix the issues if you go back which is awesome but they need to work on time management and first time quality service. After being loyal for so long and tired of returning or fixing my own I'm shopping else where. This was my first experience at a salon in this area and It was just horrible, for a pedi. she used a scrub brush on my toes it hurt so bad, she barely had them in water for 5 minutes before clipping and didn't use any sort of cuticle cream, they put a hot towel on my legs and it was so hot and I seriously got first degree burns. I told her it was too hot she took it off aired it for a minute and was like it's okay now and just laughed it off like what!?! They rushed so fast and my pedi looks rushed too! This place is very busy! Pedicures are done very well. Acrylics and dip are usually good but not consistently so. The sides of my nails that aren't polished stick out like a sore thumb because they aren't finished by them. I have to file all my nails when i get home. So in general, it is a pretty good place, but it seems very somber. All the staff seem unhappy. I've been going there for quite a while but i plan to look for a new place. read more

Not sure how many males work there, but the one i got was terrible in all aspects. He was rude. Said all of 3 things to me, one of which--wasn't even words. He cut literally all 10 of my fingers with the dremal and/or the nail file (depending on the finger). One of them hurt so bad that i twitched a bit, and all he said was, "no moving." I showed him a photo of what i wanted, (all yellow coffin shaped nails, with some accents) he got up and grabbed ONE yellow bottle and asked if it was ok. I said, "you have any brighter yellow?" (While also looking directly at another yellow) The broad working next to him says, "no. That's the only one we have." When it came time for me to wash my hands, fortunately i knew what came next. Otherwise i wouldn't have had any idea what he was saying, because all he did was point in the direction of a sink. Oh, and how did my nails look in the end you ask? ATROCIOUS! The shellac is bubbly, he completely skipped 2 out of 6 the accent nails WITH the photo right in front of him, 3 of my nails are round. I have never in my life had rounded nails. And he missed spots on the first coat on certain nails, so you can see it under the second coat. It's all just so bad. It was the most uncomfortable, awkward and infuriating experience i've ever had in a nail salon. First time in my life that i haven't tipped. I wanted to treat myself today...and i was just...so disappointed. read more

I was debating whether to try this place or not especially with such mixed reviews but with so many places closed on a Sunday I took a shot and I'm glad I did. Sounds like this place is a hit or miss depending on who does your nails so I do regret not getting my girls name. She was very precise and actually made my nails very square, and the shape was consistent on all fingers. My only concern was tool sanitation. After she used the cuticle trimmer on me she just wiped the skin off it with her finger and put it back with the rest of her tools. I can't say for sure that she used a dirty trimmer on me or that she used mine on the person after me but that was the impression given since she didn't set aside from the rest of the tools. Will be back here but would love to see a better system for sanitizing their tools in between customers. read more

First time here I was impressed by perfect nails & friendliness of the nail techs. So I went again. It was the opposite! A very inexperienced tech who also didn't speak a word of English did my nails. With the language problem she didn't understand my requests & apparently didn't even care! I kept telling her what a I wanted. She ignored me & didn't ask a co- worker to translate. She had an example of how I wanted my nails but she didn't care & shaped them the way SHE wanted. Numerous times I had to take the file away from her & shape my own nails. Did she see how I was shaping my own nails? She just didn't care & kept doing them her way. Then at checkout she charged me $5 more than the last time I was there & had to do it over. Never again. read more

Unfortunately, my daughter had a terrible experience at Happy Nails. The woman who did her nails was rude and made my daughter almost cry the entire time. When she tried to tell her what she wanted the lady did not listen. My daughter asked her to redo a nail extension before the acrylic went on since she cut it wrong, but the lady insisted it was fine. She wanted to leave but was afraid she could not so she let the lady complete her nails. In the end her nails were miss-shaped, and she was emotionally bruised. Lesson learned, we will not be back. Poor professionalism and quality. read more
