I have gotten multiple lash lift/tint's before, and in the past I have seen a huge difference in my lashes. After my lash lift & tint today with Brooke, I didn't notice much of a difference at all. They appeared a bit darker but I noticed no lift at all. I am very disappointed and feel that my money was not well spent. I had to sleep on this one because my tendency is to assume the best of people and try to understand where they're coming from, benefit of the doubt etc. But no... extremely unprofessional and disconcerting experience. I think I was in a state of shock, but I should have simply left the minute I felt that "ick" -factor. I tried calling the studio several times, but there's no email and I was unable to reach anyone yet to share concerns/suggestions. 1. Didn't feel covid-safe place, no COVID-19 waiver, poor fitting mask wearing, no partitions, no air purifier, etc. I didn't see new products being removed from packaging, rather several appeared reused... like buffers etc. 2. In the beginning of my session I mentioned that I am a nurse and that my mother had COVID-19- was desperately ill for 3 months. I felt individual doing my manicure-pedicure and I were having a nice conversation about the healing arts, reiki, alternative therapies, which I support. I was again, trying to give this experience and this person a chance. Moments later I get asked "how freaked out are you about this COVID-19 thing?" Well since I almost lost a family member and have seen devastation all around, I guess I think it's terrible!? I am paraphrasing, but this felt so out of touch and so inappropriate for what's otherwise supposed to be a relaxing, healing service. Then I am lectured to by how it's "mother earth's way of controlling the population and weeding people out." So was mother earth trying to kill my mother too? What about my friends who've lost nearly all of their family, people dying all over... my patients!? I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt, I am certain this is a nice person who means well, but this experience was wrong on so many levels. I did not have a good experience here. The day after my pedicure the toenail on my big toe peeled back halfway down to the nail bed, so clearly she spilt the nail or damaged it in some way. Been getting pedicures for decades. Never had this happen before. Would not recommend them based on that. read more

Everyone thinks I have naturally beautiful lashes, but I have to tell them "nope, every two weeks this hilarious and awesome woman named Jennie glues these suckers on one by one. You should try it!" You should too. Jennie's work is fantastic, her sense of humor always leaves me happy, and her prices are quite good for the high quality of work offered. Meh. Feh. Eek! Oh no. Sadly after giving this place 4 shots, I need to post a review to warn others of this un-zen experience. This is a noisy studio. If it isn't for the traffic, or loud jack hammers right outside the window (that is in and of its self disturbing) it was the depressing chatter from the masseuse. I want quiet, I want peace. I know I know, but I gave 2 different masseuse here at Lilajune, more than 1 chance (4 actually) I found them both to be unprofessional, gossipy and well - I don't want to be their therapist. Next. One masseuse left and is now serving beer (I think she never had a license), and the other, well I won't gossip and tell you what she said about the owner. TMI! read more

This boutique day spa is a gem. All of the professionals here are experts at what they do. The space itself is sparkling clean and relaxing, without being pretentious. In addition to being a very enjoyable human, Jennie, the owner, is extremely knowledgable about skincare. She has been doing my eyelash extensions regularly for more than a year and I continue to be very happy with the results. I have also seen Jennie for a facial, which was excellent and comparable to facials at top-notch, pricey spas. I am also a client of Elizabeth (massage) and Sonia (nails). Elizabeth is awesome at deep tissue massage and has really helped me with some persistent shoulder tightness. Sonia loves her craft and it shows. There are many choices for spa services and I enjoy supporting this local, woman-owned business. read more

I liked it better when Jennie was doing nails. When the former nail technician first came, I really liked and trusted her. However, things got sticky after the pandemic started. I asked her several times "Are you getting vaccinated?" She replied " I don't know and that's my final answer"! Being a person who is mildly disable, I had to consider safety and comfort, so, in the end I switched to a nail technician at Renew Day Spa, who is vaccinated. Also, have since heard that this nail technician, who was formerly at LilaJune moved over to Billy Shears. See this nail technician at your own risk. read more

This may be a skin and nail salon, but they have one of the best massage therapist I have ever been to. Sara is so skilled and kind. Gentle if you need relaxation, skilled, strong, and persistent if you need therapeutic massage. I drive quite a distance to see Sara and it is well worth it. read more

Just moved to the Island last year and started having Jennie do my lashes. I was very disappointed from the start. Sloppy work. I would leave with eyes stinging because she used too much glue. The grow out never went well and often led to inverted lashes which led to severe problems later. I finally had to stop getting the extensions. All my lashes fell out and still have not grown back. The worst part was how unprofessional she was when made aware of the complications. She books her clients back to back, always rushing. I also grew tired of hearing her disparage her employees, clients and personal relationships. Bad energy and carelessness is a bad combo when dealing with your eyes. read more

I've been going to Lilajune for years. I see Jenny every two weeks for lashes and more. She really knows her stuff. Sonia is now doing manicure and pedicures. She knows her craft like no one else. No one wanted to do my nails because they were not "curable". Not anymore. They are completely repaired. I loved my massages with Sara. She's was relaxing, kind, and honest. Sadly she had to take another job due to health issues, but her generous work ethic just keeps going. I hear Liz is an excellent masseuse with many skill levels but haven't had a chance to work with her yet. Terry is a medical pro and offers top notch cosmetic services. What I like at Lilajune is the comfortable and relaxed environment. If you need quiet, all you have to do is ask for it. I always leave with a smile, feeling uplifted and cared for. I travel all the way from New York to come to Lilajune! Ok so *technically* I'm visiting my folks who live on Bainbridge, but every time I come out I make sure to get a facial here. Jennie does seriously great work and leaves me so relaxed and beautiful. I've had a few other facials on the east coast and none of them have come close to the quality that Jennie provides. I even got my hardass ironworker boyfriend to see her on our last visit to Bainbridge. He was nervous/skeptical (and kinda haggard from his late flight/construction worker lifestyle) when I dropped him off. When I picked him up he was buttery soft and totally blissed out. So happy, in fact, that he turned around and scheduled a massage with Liz for that afternoon. The man was in heaven and was so impressed with her deep tissue work. And I have now had the pleasure of getting massage work done by Sara -- who my dad sees on the regular. Totally devoted. Sara dug in and slayed these crazy knots in my neck in one visit.
