I come here with my bestie for a monthly mani/pedi session but they have soooo much more than just nails. They offer HEAD SPA packages which is an elevated relaxation experience & really puts you into a full pamper yourself type of mode. It's like a facial & a hair wash & a neck/scalp massage all in one. I can't explain just how relaxing it is. You just have to try it for yourself to understand. The pedicure menu is also ample so there is a price point for everyone. The hot stones & minty steamy leg wraps are my favorite! I've had a wonderful experience with Ivy & Tiffany personally, but everyone was super friendly, accommodating & professional. They offered water, tea & light snacks during our last visit. They do make an effort to make you feel welcomed & appreciated. I don't even live in Peoria, so it's a trek (worth it tho) but my best friend is close so we are always excited for our monthly visit to Nails Plus!

He refused and also one coat of top coat. Nails were bending and breaking almost immediately . When I looked at them under my gel lamp, the top coat was just streaks and not completely applied. The manager, Lynn, is dismissive, interruptive, and rude. I called ahead and asked if they had time for a walk in. Answer was immediately yes. I got there, walked inside, and was asked to wait 10 minutes. I did call ahead for this reason as I didn't have a lot of time.. fine, I waited. They asked me what I had on my nails and I said regular gel polish. They started using the e-file on me and when I asked if it was a sanding band on it (because that's ALL you can use on natural nails), they smiled and didn't say anything. I repeated myself, again, smiled, made a sound (??), and continued. I said hello?? And pulled my hand back. They called out to another person (salon manager) who came over and I asked them "is that a carbide bit they're using on my natural nails or is that a sanding bit?" They spoke in their language for a sec and then she sat down and told me she'd be continuing the service. Red flag. I asked, "do you normally let your technicians practice unsafe nail services?" She continued to dismiss me by patting my hand and telling me she just wants a "quiet, happy service today". WHAT THE FUCK. I'm sure you could see the steam coming out of my ears. Excuse me? I then requested to see the first nail techs license, because when I looked for it, it's not displayed. It is required to be displayed at the very desk you're working at in a salon. So of course, she says she "sent the person out to go get it from their car". I said "car??? Why is it not in here being displayed?" She dismisses me, again. About 10 minutes went by and I requested again, "I'd like to see that persons license before I leave here as they worked on and destroyed my natural nail bed on my right hand". She said (I audibly laughed at this one) "I think they left to go but lotto tickets. Yeah, they play the lottery." So you're telling me that your nail technician fled the building because they provided an illegal service, ruined my nails, and is getting caught red-handed. Got it. She then had the audacity to ask me "how long have you been doing nails?" I said excuse me? She said because she's been doing nails for 20 years and she has more knowledge than me. Any person with a brain and google can confirm in 5 seconds that she was blatantly lying to me. I clearly have more knowledge than her if she's trying to tell me that a CARBIDE BIT is ok to use on natural nails. HELLLLLL NOOOOO!!!!!! I told her, "so this service is free right because you provided me with an illegal service?" She responded yes she's taking care of it. I washed my hands and got the f out of there. DO NOT GO HERE. Reporting her, her salon, and her unlicensed nail techs to the cosmetology board IMMEDIATELY.

The artists are talented but seem overworked and pressured to upsell. Their prices are not transparent, and they are constantly upcharging without getting proper consent. They will simply hold up something and say "Yes?" or "Ok?". I'm hard of hearing and accidentally agreed to a few up charges this way. I was sold a "crystal hair remover" for $15 that is clearly drop shipped from alibaba or a similar site. It made my skin bleed when used at home as they gave no instructions on how to use. They were VERY forceful about selling it and would not take a simple no. I got a gel mani and pedi. I looked at their website and am unable to determine what I even got because none of them match my experience. The recharge combo is the closest one ($99 plus $30 for my french tips) but I did not receive "collagen gloves" or "collagen-infused socks" as advertised. Finally, the tech cured gel polish on my skin. I told her it was there and she continued to do so, which creates a risk for gel allergy to develop. Plus the polish is chipping 3 days later. I have no problem paying premium prices (I regularly pay over $150+ at nail salons) but I expect things like 1) no upselling & alibaba products, 2) transparent pricing, and 3) good workmanship that lasts longer than 3 days.

I have gotten a few other employees doing my nails, and they are amazing, to be honest. The employees here take their time and try their best to deliver, and it's fun talking to them. The pedicures here are amazing. They take their time and even help with ingrown nails. From the basic pedicure to the luxury pedicure, you can never go wrong. The business also uses disposable pedicure tools, so never any cross contamination or unsanitary tools. They just are extremely detailed about every little thing. My boyfriend never got a pedi until I brought him here, and let me tell you, this man is CONVINCED. His feet feel better, especially when he's constantly on his feet, and the massage helps his feet and leg from being so tense. The establishment is remodeling on the inside, nothing too serious, but now it looks cleaner and more organized. The colors and powders are more accessible to costumers and all employees. The layout, all though a small floor plan, is very spacious, light, and inviting. This place is constantly cleaned. I swear to you when it's not too busy for everyone, I see them mopping and wiping everything. I will always recommend this place over and over again.
