This was the first bridal shop I visited. I came here first because their website advertised two…read moredesigners I liked and they also had several of their dresses I was interested in trying on. Before my appointment they texted me like 5 times to confirm my appointment. I confirmed every time. They also called me the day before to confirm and also asked that I text them my inspo pics. I took screenshots of the dresses I liked directly off their website and sent it to them. We traveled 2 hours for this appointment. When I arrived they had a welcome sign for all the brides coming in that day, well except for me since my name wasn't on it. When I checked in they again asked me what my inspo was and I said I had texted them yesterday, they acted like they had no idea. I still had to show them the photos I'd screenshotted from their website and texted to them. They weren't ready for me yet so they said we could browse around in the front of the store. I was underwhelmed by the selection in the store and realized they probably didn't have the dresses I wanted. I think out of the 5 dresses I showed them from their website, they had 1 and let me try it on. When I was trying on dresses the attendant stayed in the room with me while was changing which made me feel uncomfortable. At another bridal shop I later went to, the attendant simply opened the dress and let me put them on myself and she only came in once I needed to be zipped/buttoned up. Also, while I was trying on dresses here, there were a couple of times another attendant would come into the dressing room and ask if they could take a dress I had for another bride to try on which seemed very unprofessional to me. The attendant I had was also using pins to secure the dresses to me and stuck me 4 times. I also had to be extremely careful moving or else a pin would come loose and stick me because she fastened everything on me so tightly. At one point, the attendant tried to attach sleeves to a dress and stuck me with a pin on much chest and left a 3 inch long scratch. Multiple dresses I tried on had pins stuck in them from prior appointments. Their sample dresses all seemed very dirty and worn. I get they are samples but these were all very stained on the inside and the beaded dresses I tried on all seemed to have beads/stones missing or actively falling off as I moved. The samples from the other store I went to seemed to be better taken care of. I would be incredibly hesitant to buy a sample from this store if they even offer that. The final dress I tried on was the one I liked best and they made me walk out into their lobby area so my mom could take pictures. After taking off the dress the attendant came out with a sheet of paper that had the price and the dress was over $4K. My budget I gave them when I did the online appointment was $2500-$3000. They also tried to pressure me into buying it the same day by offering to take 12% off. I was very annoyed that I didn't get to see any of the dresses I was expecting to try on from their own website after driving two hours and the dress they put me in was over budget and I left with a bleeding scratch on my chest that the attendant seemed to ignore. They were also very over the top with flattery to me and my parents and it seemed very disingenuous. We told them we were going to get lunch and if I decided to purchase the last dress we would come back or call. The sales attendant insisted on getting my measurements literally as I'm trying to walk out the door. I did not end up purchasing from this store.

In call after call to OLM, we asked for help and options. We were told we weren't trying it on correctly and to send them pictures. We are having to find something local off the rack and out $700. So very disappointing.

Just a heads up, they do keep the door closed at times since they are appointment-only, but that just adds to the personalized experience. My stylist, Kiana, was absolutely wonderful. This was the first boutique where I was actually able to browse through the entire store myself, and let me tell you, the inventory was AMAZING. Compared to the other four bridal boutiques I visited in Jacksonville, this one truly stood out. I found myself pulling so many dresses from the racks that I genuinely loved, which was not the case at other places. Kiana was so bubbly, attentive, and supportive throughout the entire appointment. While I was browsing, she helped gather dresses and set everything up in the dressing room, making the process feel seamless and fun. She constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying the experience. I also completely fell in love with one of the designers they carry- Maggie Sottero. Her dresses were exactly my style, with the perfect amount of sparkle and glam. This was the first boutique where I loved every single dress I tried on, which made choosing "the one" so difficult but in the best way possible! The showroom itself is beautiful and spacious, and while the dressing area is a little tighter, it's still more comfortable than other places I've been. Most of the dresses I tried on fit really well (I'm typically a size 10-12), which made the experience even better. From a price prospective, they are really reasonable! Under 1-3k without alterations The best part....I found my dress here, which made the entire experience so special and unforgettable!!! I highly recommend White Magnolia Bridal to anyone who just got engaged. This place is truly a showstopper!

I am beyond disappointed and honestly heartbroken over my experience with The White Magnolia…read more I went to pick up my wedding dress so excited to finally try on my gown--only to later find out, during a fitting with a seamstress, that the dress they ordered for me was TWO SIZES TOO SMALL. This wasn't a minor issue--it was so small that the only solution offered by the seamstress was to completely alter it with a corset. That is not the dress I fell in love with. What makes this even worse is that the sample dress I originally tried on fit me perfectly. After reviewing my paperwork, I discovered that the Director of Operations, Gabby, ordered the wrong size. When I returned to the store to address this, with my wedding only 6 weeks away, I expected urgency, accountability, and real solutions. Instead, I was offered ONE option: take the used sample dress (cleaned) and give up the brand-new dress I paid over $3,000 for. No offer to reorder the correct dress. No help with alterations. No real accountability. To add insult to injury, they remeasured me and confirmed my measurements have not changed at all since my original appointment--meaning the dress they ordered would have NEVER fit me in the first place. This has been an incredibly stressful and emotional experience during what should be one of the happiest times of my life. Brides trust these boutiques with one of the most important purchases they will ever make--and this level of carelessness and lack of resolution is unacceptable. Please be cautious when trusting The White Magnolia with your wedding dress.

I booked and paid for a consultation with Lady Strut Gowns (Shawna Grant) in March for my…read moredaughter's prom dress. My daughter originally wanted a the look could be done or at least closely achieved. That is what I paid for. My daughter selected a dress (which was under budget), leaving room for customization. The owner also made it clear that she does not sell the same dress to multiple students, which built additional trust in her process. From there, everything became inconsistent. What was said in person did not match what was communicated through text. At one point, I was told via text that achieving the look would require a redesign of the gown and that due to the structure of the dress, it would not look exactly like the reference photo. I understood that. However, in person, I was repeatedly told that the look could be done and that we could get very close to it. At no point during the consultation was it clearly communicated that the dress could not be achieved in a comparable way. That difference in communication is what led me to move forward and continue investing additional money into the process and things she said was needed. After paying invoices for materials and services, no real progress was made on the original design. When I didn't like the appliqués she suggested, I was told to go find my own--which I did and purchased myself. Then after my daughter selected a second look (which she again confirmed she could do), I was sent another invoice and paid again--even though nothing had been completed from the first design. All of this started in March. Fast forward to the week of prom. Sunday, I was told materials were delayed and that she would reach out once everything came in. Monday passed with no communication. I reached out Tuesday and was told, "I thought you were coming up here," even though no time or clear purpose was ever given. At that point, I asked her to complete the dress and send a picture before finalizing instead of going back and forth. Late that night, almost 1 AM, she sent a picture of the dress. The dress looked nothing like what was discussed. I addressed it immediately and respectfully. Instead of working toward a solution, she became defensive and told me if I was unsure of her work, I could come pick up the dress and let someone else do it--two days before prom. I made it clear I was not unsure of her work, but what she sent was not even close to the design we agreed on. We were then told to come up there. My daughter left work early and still did not get to properly try on the dress. When I saw it in person, it still looked nothing like the reference photos. She then claimed that I told her I no longer wanted the original look, which is not true. The only adjustment I requested was lowering part of the design to accommodate my daughter's hairstyle. At that point, she said she could fix it--but would need to be compensated again for her time. Keep in mind, she had already been paid since March and had not completed the work as agreed. Another payment was made, and I was told the dress would be ready by 5 PM. Then it became 7 PM. Around 7:30 PM, I received a call saying the material wasn't working and the material she requested now need to be removed to get the look. At this point, the design looked nothing like what was discussed. It looked rushed and completely off from the vision that was presented and agreed upon. Another major issue throughout this process was the lack of accountability. At one point, I was told that I "picked the tulle," which is not accurate. In our text messages, I was only asked to choose a color that was closest to the dress--not the type of material. There was never a conversation where I selected or approved the actual material needed to achieve the design. I do not design dresses. I do not sew professionally. That is her field of expertise. When a client provides inspiration photos and trusts a business owner to execute a look, it is the responsibility of that professional to determine what materials are required--not shift that responsibility onto the client after the fact. I asked her to remove the material and simply add the appliqués throughout the dress. I also requested a refund for the materials and services that were no longer being used. That is when the situation became completely unprofessional. She began yelling on the phone, hung up on me, and sent nasty voice messages stating she did not like how I was barking out orders. She then said she would only partially refund me and that someone else shostating she did not like how I was barking out orders. She then said she would only partially refund me and that someone else should pick up the dress. When my ddaughter went to pick it up, they were made to wait outside for 15-20 minutes, despite her stating previously that no dress leaves without a fitting. She then came outside recording-with scissors in her hand.

Mistakes happen, so we forgave the oversight and ordered a veil. We were sold the wrong length (cathedral, presented as being the longest type that exists, which is inaccurate) and once again, they didn't call us when it arrived. After we tracked it down and picked it up, we realized the color was not the one we had ordered. With little time before the wedding--and now zero trust in Allure Bridal Boutique and its ability to deliver on its promises--we drove to Orlando and got exactly what we wanted from a knowledgeable and professional store (The Bridal Finery, which we highly recommend). We went back to Allure to request a refund, which they refused as ALL sales are final--even when they mess up. Other than an offer to overnight the right color, no attempt at resolving the issue was made and no apologies (because they blame the manufacturer). Despite the owners' inability to accept responsibility and unwillingness to issue a refund, we left the veil in the store; it is completely useless to us but hopefully a reminder to the owner of their incompetence and to be better for their customers. Please save yourself some headaches and shop somewhere else.
