Moved to Wisconsin recently from Las Vegas where good restaurants are on every corner. We have yet to find the quality of restaurants we are use to until we tried Golden Nest. The ambiance is fun and modern. They even have a robot that brings the food to your table. Service was friendly and accommodating. The menu is extensive with lots of traditional breakfast options, but what makes it stand out is the unique dishes like pancake tacos, chilaquiles, and unique pancake flights. Love the vibe and aesthetic of this place. Service and food is great. We ordered Benedict's and they came out pretty quickly so we didn't have to wait very long. I would have liked a slightly different fruit option, but it was OK and everything else was great. Would definitely go again. Tho... sometimes they can be a wait and there's almost no seating/waiting area so if it's cold outside, you're better off waiting in your car until you get notified that your table is ready. read more

Our waitress Kourttine was delightful & attentive. Clean & bright & cheery decor. Eggs were perfectly cooked. Asked for hashbowns extra crispy, they weren't really brown. Corned beef was freshly made & tasty. 3 Sausage links were plump & delicious, 2 would have been perfect. Portions were grossly large. We came initially because we got a coupon in the mail for one free entree with a purchase of another entree. We were seated right away. The staff were considerate and asked if we needed refills, boxes, exc. The interior of the restaurant is GORGEOUS. Everything flows beautifully and has a very calming atmosphere. They really stuck to the theme of "golden nest" as when you first walk in you can see that the lighting is made up of LITERAL golden nests with eggs as the lightbulbs which is absolutely adorable. The seating, excluding the booths, are eggshell white and the cups, bowls, and plates are robin egg blue with speckles which really ties it all together. They've got a coffee bar and outdoor seating as well. AS FOR THE FOOD, I ordered the 'French toast stack' and it was absolutely fabulous, not too sweet and tasted just like a warm apple pie, not to mention it was garnished with a stunning purple orchid. My partner got a 'butchers omelet' with an English muffin for the side which he said "was very filling, and has a good balance of cheese and egg" but was "a little overwhelmed by the amount of meat." Our waitress brought us our meals, I know some people have commented about the robot they have buzzing around but we saw it only one time and all it did was bring an order over to the table behind us. The waitress still put the plates on the tables, it's more of an aid for the waitstaff if anything- sometimes big orders are hard to carry out all together. I also saw some other yelpers addressing the hash-browns and that fact that they weren't as cooked as they'd like them to be. I ordered a side of hash-browns and found that they were cooked just perfectly. They were golden brown throughout and were very tasty. Price wise I think it's reasonable for the entire experience and food. We even had leftovers! Overall this was a great experience and will be coming back! read more

We tried this new restaurant twice in one week. Did breakfast one day and lunch on a Sunday afternoon. First the good: It's very clean and nice, good quality drinking glasses and plates. The waitstaff and hostess were very nice. The food tastes great. The bad: The prices are high, portions are small. We shared breakfast omelette, and for lunch we shared the beef brisket sandwich. Plan on spending double of what you'd spend elsewhere. They do have a cool robot that brings your food. Our beef brisket sandwich had such a small amount of meat on it that my wife asked the waitress to add more, and she took it back and added more. The picture of it was before meat was added. This is my favorite breakfast spot in Oshkosh! This restaurant is so cute, I love the nest light fixtures and it's bright and welcoming. Even though this place is always busy, service is always quick and friendly. I love the eggs Benedict here too and the portions are massive, I always have a hard time finishing my food. I have been here a few times and went there this morning, my wife as always gotten an ice coffee of some sort and has enjoyed it every time, I've tried their lemonade and tea, I've very much enjoy it some times I mix them. Yes this place is a-little pricey but the food portions have grown I've noticed, but regardless everything I've tried has been tasty. This was a 30 min drive for us but we trusted the person who had recommended we try it out and boy was it worth it!! I was honestly so happy with the whole experience, being a new facility everything was so modern and clean all the way down to the expo robot that delivered our food for the waitress!! The menu was diverse in a way that is really hard to find in the fox valley and I now have a huge list of items I'd like to try. I ended up going with the lobster omelette which exceeded my expectations, I paid the $1 up charge for a pancake side (because you don't go to a pancake house and not try the pancakes!?) and they were fluffy and the perfect size! The lobster had a brilliant texture and tasted fresh and buttery. Hubby was looking for a high protein option and went with the steak bowl and was really happy with it, he said he was impressed with the quality of meat as well and it left him satisfied. I felt that the price point for the dishes were just right for any comparable breakfast/brunch restaurant with this type of elevated menu and although we didn't bring our daughter with us for this visit I do feel like the atmosphere was family friendly and we would have felt comfortable bringing a toddler. Nashville chicken Benny.... biscuit was a frozen product, fried chicken was a frozen product (Mac Donald's value chicken tastes better) hollandaise was from a jug, kinda tasted like cheese sauce. Breakfast potatoes were over deep fried frozen potatoes. Avocado toast was a pre made avocado product with cheap quality feta cheese. I ordered nashville hot chicken and it came out looking like it was fish. I also ordered and ice coffee and it taste like they dude in the back loaded the drink with salt?
