My daughter's volleyball team had a tournament in Oshkosh last weekend. I called a few days in advance, and they agreed to have a table ready for 20 people late Saturday afternoon. I wasn't disappointed. Lots of parking with lots of seating either at the counter, tables, or booths. Daily specials and old favorites included on the extensive menu covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They even have sweet potato pancakes, which I've never seen offered anywhere before. This place is the quintessential greasy spoon, and while I love this place, it is most certainly not for every taste. You are not going to find crepes and creme brulle on the menu, but it is great for what it is. Like most establishments of it's type, the portion sizes are gigantic and the prices are cheap. I have only ever been to the Delta for breakfast, so I can't comment on the lunch or dinner offerings, but the breakfast here is always on point, and the menu has lots of options. I worked at a bar on Main for a few months over the summer, and since I normally did not get home until 3:30 or 4 AM, the Delta was my typical Sunday (late AM) pilgrimage. Most of the people that work there know me on a first name basis. You really can't go wrong with any of the omelettes they serve, and the Greek with Feta is really tasty, especially with a little Tabasco drizzled over the top. The gyro meat and eggs is also a nice hearty combo I like as well. The hashbrowns they serve are good, but I recommend you tell your server that you want them "extra crispy" and they come out much better. On the sweeter side they have lots of waffle, pancake and french toast combinations to choose from. While this place does deliver for a 2.50 charge if you are feeling lazy, your best bet is to just show up. Breakfast food is best when it is right off the griddle. 5 star dining this place is not, but it is a great option for breakfast. read more

Love this place. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The menu was huge and a little daunting but my server Trish walked me through it like an expert tour guide. She kept my coffee cup full and brought me plenty of cream and sugar because I like a lot of them in my coffee. Outstanding service all around. Trish is a credit to your business. Its been a while since I had visited the Delta. But I was certainly unimpressed and will not be returning. We walked in around 10:30 AM and took note of the specials listed on the board. We were seated quickly and soon after our waitress came to take our order. I asked if they were serving lunch or dinner food at that time and she checked with someone in the back and the answer was no. Oh well, I got over it. We went ahead and ordered and my date ordered one of their specials that was listed. Five minutes later I heard another person ask if the lunch menu was being served and they were told "yes" and proceeded to place their order for the cheeseburger i was craving. Ugh. Then our waitress came back and told my date that they had run out of the special of the morning. Since we had to re order, I asked her about lunch again, and still no. Our food came out timely, and was what is expected for the price point. The Delta is a great family style restaurant The service is great and food is more of a home cooking type menu. I am not going to lie, the food isn't home made quality, the gravy is probably from a jar, the white bread is the stuff you ate when you were five and the veggies are canned, but this is the type of food I grew up on so It kind of takes me back. If you are looking for a great place to eat at in Oshkosh look no further than the Delta Restaurant. Great homemade food, excellent service and clean comfortable surroundings. What more could you ask for? By far my favorite place for breakfast , real American fried potatoes made from raw sliced potatoes not last nights left over baked potatoes as just about everyone else uses. Question: When you order Fish & Chips what is it you expect to get? If your Answer was battered deep fried cod/haddock and french fries then you'd be wrong if you ordered from Delta. Delta has joined with Eat Street to do online ordering which is great. What's not great is that the cooks at Delta use that as an excuse to not do their jobs properly. I ordered Fish & Chips, what I got was 4 over sized fish sticks (guess I was lucky they weren't minced fish) and some very stale greasy potato chips, carrots and a little cup of coleslaw. (they got the slaw right I asked for it instead of salad) When I called the restaurant the cook had the nerve to say "Well you didn't say you wanted french fries so we gave you chips." Excuse Me? I'm sorry but Fish & Chips is a well known and common restaurant item here in the USA and there should never be any question of what kind of potato I'm going to get when I order it. The owners of the place need to have a bit more interest in their business and make sure the cooks they hire know what well known, commonly ordered American classic fare is. The quality of the food was sad as well. for $9.99 I expected more than the 4 big fish sticks and chips. A BIG THANK YOU TO MY DELIVERY DRIVER!!!
