I first visited this place back in 2017/2018 as a recommendation from a friend from the area since I was in town for a wedding. I absolutely loved it and it became one of my top 3 favorite brunch places in Wisconsin. I happened to be back in town for work, and of course, I had to come back. Of course, it's still just as great. I've since come back 3 mornings in a row while I was in town as I don't even want to try anything else in the area. Their ingredients are fresh and local, and their service is great. Everyone is really nice and on top of it. The only complaint I have is that their brewed coffee isn't good and really shouldn't be the case. It was burnt and even smelled like it. Could barely drink it. I'd love to see them up their coffee game. However, I didn't mind because I love their brunch that much. Just be sure to make reservations on the weekends as they book up pretty quick ahead of time. read more

I've been wanting to go here for years! Great atmosphere, staff and food! I got the lemon ricotta pancakes which were light and fluffy with fresh berries that were perfect. I opted not to top with syrup and I am glad I did as it would have been too sweet. I will add the pancakes tasted like plain pancakes and were topped with the lemon ricotta sauce. This isn't a negative, just wanted to point it out. I loved it however it was done! My husband got the smoked salmon Benedict and he ate every drop! The side salad and potatoes were amazing! I am truly upset I didn't have the 5 star rating many have experienced!! Was in town visiting my mom and decided to skip on our usuals and try a new place. I've never regretted anything more! We were told that wait for a table would be about 45 mins but it ended up being about 20! So yay! Our server Octavio was fantastic. Super informative about specials, asked about allergies and suggested drinks. We started off with coffee, I got the sapchatta and my mom went with a basic decaf coffee. We placed our order and that's when the disappointment started. I got the chicken sandwich which was such a let down. The "herb salad" it comes with is just a bunch of cilantro...not chopped just whole. The fries were cold. Then our French toast were SO thin and chewy...where is the pillowy texture? At this point I was so hangry I just wanted to leave. My mom got the chilaquiles with chorizo, she liked hers! And didn't "mind" the French toast even though they were "a bit tough". I hadn't eaten here for years and my husband never had and wanted to try. $45 for lunch (we drank water) seemed pricey for what we got. The sandwiches were good but the chicken soup left a lot to be desired. Not sure I'd spend that kind of money again on a quick lunch. I also found the menu a bit out of my comfort zone, too many non traditional meals. I doubt we'll be back any time soon. read more

Major points- poor quality service (completely ignored after taking our order, waitress never refilled drinks, very unfriendly), food was cold when we got it, steak was a tough and overcooked, breakfast potatoes were hard and overcooked. This has been one of my favorite restaurants since high school. Whenever I go back to my hometown, my best friend and I have a tradition of eating at SAP. I always order the Classic Benedict. The sap salad dressing is perfect, potatoes are roasted and paired with the perfect glaze. The vibe and staff are spectacular. They're always busy but their service is always 100. We sat at the bar which was a great choice as we had a very attentive server that gave us the run down of the menu and the fact that they use locally sourced foods for their menu items. It has been over a decade, at least, since I have gone here for breakfast. My fiancé and I went here with our friends and their baby Saturday. Fortunately we were in no hurry, and we were able to sample some delicious bakery case treats with our drinks and coffee while waiting. The Saturday-only breakfast burrito was sumptuously good with brie cheese and hearty mushrooms and diced potatoes. As a carnivore, I didn't miss not having any meat, especially with the two hearty piectof bacon that accompanied my Bloody Mary cocktail. My wife enjoyed her lemon ricotta pancakes, even without syrup. However, she ordered a side of bacon "extra crispy", but it came as a standard limply cooked preparation. Spacing between tables were okay but with the servers moving back and forth it probably was too close. I got 2 mimosas, they have apple and orange juice. The apple was surprisingly good. Honestly had such a strange experience today at SAP. I ordered the special which was a scrabble with gouda, peppers, and bacon, quite good actually! As a side, I ordered brioche bread. The bread came out and there are no sauces provided at table (ketchup, jam, butter, etc.) I asked for butter and jam for the bread. The waitress first said that it's already cooked in a lot of butter and she would get me the jam. The waitress then came back with the jam and states she is saving my arteries by not bringing me butter. The table was perplexed that the waitress was not even willing to bring out butter after being g requested and then to comment on how it would impact our bodies... although the food is good and the atmosphere is fun, this comment is enough to make me second guess going back. read more

We arrived and gave our phone number at the front and waited out our 40-50 minute wait time by shopping at Penzey's spices next door. For quicker sitting sit at bar, as we were sat within 25 minutes. Wait staff will let you sample the house made juice, but our fav was the apple juice. My husband ordered the chilaquiles with chicken and I got the Saturday steak burrito...then we decided when in Rome, so ordered a side of brioche French toast. Worth the wait! We tried to come mid-week, mid-day with less flexibility and couldn't spare the time... so when we came back on a mid-Saturday morning we expected it would take time to be seated. 40-60 minutes outside - with beautiful weather sidewalk chalk to keep us (or more likely visiting children) occupied it was no big deal - but I confirmed that next time we can definitely call ahead for reservations! Parties of any size. Food was EXCELLENT - hubby and I each ordered lattes and I tried a blackberry scone with lemon curd and earl grey glaze. For our entrees I ordered chilaquiles (add chorizo) and hubby (hungry from the wait!) ordered steak and eggs + salmon benedict. Neither of us came close to finishing our full orders... but with the mouth-watering menu we also got lunch orders to go! If you're keeping track this was a HUGE order for 2 people, but the price was super reasonable. Our waitress was also fantastic - very kind, patient and communicative in spite of the very busy/noisy environment. We will definitely be back - I've got a new favorite brunch spot! read more
