I seldom write a bad review about any place but my experience with Golden Nozzle Car Wash on Park Ave. in Worcester has prompted me to warn others about their practices. Purchased an unlimited monthly car wash on February 27, 2018 making careful note of the date in case I wanted to cancel. On March 25, I had the car washed and told the attendant I wished to cancel the service. I asked whether he needed to take the sticker off and he told me it wasn't necessary, that he could do it in the computer. Today, (March 27) I noticed an automatic renewal on my credit card account. There is a notice on their website that even if I cancel today I will be charged for the full month. As if this weren't bad enough, the last two carwashes have been poor. read more

Based on the long line of cars at the Golden Nozzle, I anticipated that this was a good car wash. Jake, who was friendly, explained the services they offer and collected the $22 payment for "The Works", greeted me. I was sent in to the wash after collecting an air freshener of my choice. All was good, until the car in front of me stopped in the middle of the wash. I honked my horn to signal the wash attendants, and stepped on the brake to avoid being pushed in to the car in front of me. I felt the rollers that pull your car through the wash lift my car as they went under my tires. Thankfully person behind me also stopped to avoid hitting me. The wash stopped and the attendant spoke to the person in the car in front of me. I rolled down my window to ask if I needed to do anything. I was told that everything looked good and just leave the car in neutral. The wash was restarted. Within a few seconds, the car behind me was pushed in to the back of my car. Upon exiting the wash, I pulled over as did the person who was pushed in to me. We spoke to Eric at the wash who seemed unaware of what had happened. I understand that accidents happen, however it is how this was handled that results in my 1 star rating. Eric was rude, and implied that the damage to my car was already there upon entering the wash. Thankfully the person in the car behind me told Eric that in fact his car had hit mine in the wash. We examined the damage and we were able to line up the damage on my car to the damage to the car that hit me. Eric asked that I fill out an accident report so I did. I was told that they would 'review the tapes' to determine if the car wash was at fault. All the while, Eric talked to me in a rude and unapologetic tone. I was as calm as one can be when they have just sustained damage to their car so there was no reason for Eric to behave in such a rude manner. Two days later (Monday) I followed up with a phone call to the headquarters. I left a voicemail. I was called two days later (Wednesday) by Eric who indicated that the car wash would pay to repair the damage to my car. I thanked him and informed him that the lack of communication led me to file a claim with my insurance company. Eric asked if they had provided an estimate. I informed him of the estimate I had received and he proceeded, in a very rude tone, to tell me that the estimate was inflated and that my car had not sustained that much damage. I reiterated that this was the estimate the insurance had provided and that I planned to repair the car through my insurance company leaving reimbursement from the car wash to the insurance company. At no point was there any apology from Eric for the damage, hassle, and time that this car wash has caused me. If this wasn't enough, the front end of the car was still dirty after the wash. I would not use this car wash again, or recommend this car wash to anyone, until they teach Eric how to be polite to customers.
