Before taking my car to get serviced I was impressed with how pleasant Mike was on the phone when making an appointment. He had a very upbeat and non-intimidating personality which I have found at other shops I have been to. He was also honest about the shops schedule and didn't try to cram/overbook to get my work scheduled. I took my car in because it was making a humming noise that I suspected was a wheel bearing, but wanted an expert to verify. The wheel bearing was the culprit and they replaced it at a very reasonable cost. They also communicated proactively along the way to let me know diagnosis, cost, and when the car was ready. Before I went to Mike's shop, the dealership told me the humming was being caused by 3 wheel bearings and a viscous coupling and that it would be $4,800 to repair. Since my car had only 70,000 miles on it, I found it hard to believe that parts of the drivetrain were already needing to be replaced, so I wanted to get another opinion. The replacement of 1 wheel bearing on the left side completely fixed the noise I was hearing. Happy to have found a place I can trust so close to home. Will be returning and referring friends and family.

I had to leave and my car legit stalled on me in the middle of the road THREE times as I reversed before I was able to get it going into drive again. To have a customer leave in a vehicle that is hazardous to the road is ridiculous! My vehicle stalls when I slow down to a certain point, even when a vehicle would be braking in front of me. Before leaving Oregon to drive out here to Mass I had a complete checkup done on my truck, got a bunch of various work done, tires, etc. They told me I needed brakes, that they were at 10%, that it would cost $500, and grudgingly admitted I could probably wait until I was out there to get the work done. Well, I get out here and go to O'Brien's on the recommendation of friends who live here. He tells me the brakes are fine, no problems, that I could probably wait until I drive to the next place in the winter to do them (I was only here short-term). He charges me nothing for the inspection. I came back today because I'm about to drive halfway across the country again, figure it must be time for the brakes now. He could easily have done the work but instead, he tells me they're STILL fine and will probably be fine for a while, definitely until after I get out to the next place. Outrageously honest. It's been almost 9 months since the mechanic in Oregon tried to get me to do the brakes then. Almost a year! I might be driving back here in the summer and if so, I'm waiting to do any repairs until I get out here.
