We were driving from New Hampshire to Philadelphia to visit our son in college. Our car was…read moredriving poorly, shaking and wobbling, so I pulled off the Interstate in Holyoke, MA. As soon as I pulled off, it felt like the tire burst, but as we found out later it was actually a couple of studs holding the wheel on had sheered completely off somehow. We are new to the area and had literally just had the vehicle inspected in NH to register it the week prior, so it was surprising something so big would happen so soon afterward, but I digress. We have USAA roadside assistance. You get no choice in your tow-truck company, so we didn't choose Casiano's ourselves per se, but at that point we just desperately wanted to be off the exit ramp and had no notion that they would no-show. We were given a window of 60-90 minutes. We also got a little link that supposedly shows where the tow-person is located. I opened it up every so often and he would actually be farther away the closer we got to the end of the time limit. Like it would say he was "8-38 minutes away." Then "14-44." It just kept changing and in the opposite direction. It was January but thankfully it was mid-day so while I wouldn't say it was warm, it could have been much worse, especially with two kids in the car. We are those "give the benefit of the doubt" kinda customers, but at 90 minutes we tried to call to get a status and no answer. So we called USAA and the dispatcher said, "well it shows him as 11 minutes out, so I don't want to dispatch a new one in case he shows up," and asked us to wait another 30 minutes, to which we reluctantly agreed. But she had tried to call him too, and he never answered for her, either. During the 30 extra minutes, a cop came by. He was super friendly and I gather when a cop calls a towing company in Massachusetts, they come ASAP because he got us a tow within 10-15 minutes. We called USAA back and said we couldn't wait the full extra time for Casiano's (and had no faith he would show, regardless, since he hadn't answered repeated phone calls) because we had to get off of the off-ramp at the cop's behest, and she said we could get reimbursed for the cost of the tow. She also said the tow-truck driver at Casiano's had claimed to have already done the job. So, not only did he no-show, but he also lied outright by claiming to have done the job to our insurance company. As our 10-year-old said, "that's not being honest." And our 13-year-old said "he's just being lazy." Special shout out to our policeman friend who got the ball rolling and to Ernie's Towing, who did show up, quickly, and drove us to Firestone to get our baby looked at.

Not only did this guy update me with texts of his location but he called to tell me when he was about 15 minutes away. It was the fastest service call I ever had at 45 minutes or a bit less. Roland was very sweet when I told him that I had the tire, he changed it quickly and I was back on the road in 10 minutes or less. Highly recommend.

Tow truck driver swings out to left lane and gets on the side of me. Than just pushes towards me and makes me hit curb. I confronted him by screaming at him because he was driving like a complete jackass. If I was driving my 5 ton he woulded of ended up losing. Guy should lose his license.

AAA dispatched Ernies towing to tow my car .. the driver told me my car is custom so AAA will not…read moreallow them to tow it but they can tow it through Ernies for $470.. so I paid it then called AAA and explained the situation.. AAA told me they have no policy against towing cars and it's up toy he tow driver if they feel safe towing your car . lol.. so they did a bait and switch .. clearly sixne they towed it they felt comfortable towing it ..AAA reimbursed me $400 of the $470 since this wasn't right for them to do.. on top of that I tipped the driver $30 .. got taken for a ride .. don't let it happen to you ... very shady company.

The service was done, and I paid for that a couple of hundreds dollars. Days later, surprisingly, my bank card got another charge for the same amount of the a couple of hundreds dollars. It seems the office lady over there knew what's going on ( Was that double charge made purposely?? And, if I didn't check my bank statement, my money would be gone like that??) and sounds rude to me about my bank card got a second charge. She agreed to put the money back to my card finally but there's no apologize about the wrong charge. I believe the 2-star rating is a higher rating compared to what they did like that. The thing is: it doesn't seem like they would like to correct what they've done wrong. God Bless those businesses that they can realize they're not supposed to do that and stop doing it!

As of about 3 hours later, the tow had not arrived; when I called the driver back, he said he was still on a job, in a town 40+ miles away. I'd recommend against using their tow services unless your idea of a good time is wasting the better part of a day with no actual assistance.
