Was absolutely horrible. Ordered 2 small pizzas. 4 cheese and chicken bacon ranch. 4 cheese was pasty. Tastes and looked like flat sandwich cheese. Chicken bacon ranch had no tomato sauce. They cooked it with just ranch dressing and minimal cheese. By far the worst pizza I have ever had. I will be boycotting this place and will never eat there again. I use to love this place. Great pizza and food all around! I ordered two small pizzas for pickup which were cheap because they offer a deal. Pizzas had just the right amount of sauce and extra cheese just like I asked and were both cooked to perfection. I also got a sub and a salad which were fantastic! Great service from cashier and manager both very polite. Cool atmosphere, super interesting as it included pictures and decor from the old train station. I hate panning local small business but this is some of the cheapest tasting food I've tasted. The good thing is they stay open until midnight or 1 a.m. and most things in Auburn close at 10 p.m. If you are stuck for food and care nothing about the taste or quality of the food, Golden is your go to. For $3.50 you can get a good Italian sub at Weepin' Willy's next to the post office. For $5 the subs you get at Golden are cheap but wow, are they bad. I had a tuna and it tasted spoiled ... very, very fishy tasting. The Italian ... I don't even know where you find cold cuts that taste like this. Store brand supermarket cold cuts taste better. And finally, they always charge me $.50 - $1.00 more than their internet menu prices list. Its cheap enough where I don't complain but I always thought that was kind of sketchy because it is clear they update their website. For college students and drunk people, this place would be great. Golden Pizza is your typical take-out pizza joint and nothing to get excited over. Golden Pizza offers Greek-style pizza (slightly thicker crust, lots of cheese, greasy). Alternate options on the menu include your typical "sub joint" sandwiches and appetizers. Again, no surprises. The only original item on the menu are the Footizzas, a foot-long pizza presented on half a sub roll cut length-wise... It really looks like they're just trying to find a cheap way to put out more food by using sub rolls rather than pizza dough. Portions are better than average. Pizza toppings are liberally added (to a fault, sometimes overwhelming the sauce and dough). Pizza sizes may appear small initially, but they are thicker and again, very heavy on the toppings and cheese. Prices are average, running about $10 bucks for a large one-topping pizza, $13-14 bucks for a large "specialty" pizza, and $5 bucks for a sub. Food quality was sub-par. The pizza have been undercooked, appetizers cold and heavy with oil, and generally disappointing. The biggest problem with Golden Pizza is in the ingredients. I get the feeling they're cutting corners and using the lowest quality or cheapest ingredients they can find. I'm not asking for hand-tossed dough, sauce freshly-made by a woman named Antionnette smiling from a rustic back kitchen, or cheese straight from the cheese tree. That being said, "quality over quantity" might serve Golden Pizza well... cut down on the portions and heaping toppings/cheese and instead focus on slightly better ingredients and cooking process. I love the sauce at Golden, but I couldn't even taste it because of the damn taste of the fuckin' tap water had hijacked my mouth. The reality: the subs are mostly bread, the service is surly at best, and the menu is incomplete. However the pizza itself is amazing. The dough is made in house and is soft and airy, the toppings are plentiful, and the mozzarella is fresh and creamy. My tips to the managers would be to increase the filling in the subs and provide a complete menu (as in list the toppings that are on the special pizzas). Never been in a pizza place that had zero tables inside. One table outside where the workers sit and smoke. Worst roast beef sub I've gotten and the delivery driver may have tried to run me over in the parking lot, not sure, maybe his flip flop got stuck between the gas and brake pedals. I ordered Haddock and chips today and it sucked so bad I had to download this app just so I could let people know how bad it was. In fact The fish was overcooked and after breaking thru the hard crust which was not edible i barely had any fish probably 3 bites of actual food. The fries were ok but I am still hungry. Pizza isn't bad and it's open late which is a plus. However...I ordered a Greek salad there recently and not only was is small for $8 but it was hardly a "Greek" salad. No feta cheese, no olives, pretty much just lettuce and chicken and way too many onions. To top it all off, the dressing they gave me was Italian dressing in packets.
