Last two visits were a disappointment. First one my tuna sub was so dry and the bread was not fresh. Returned the second time because my son really enjoyed his steak and cheese the first visit. Second visit we both got steak and cheese. There was hardly anything in our subs. Payed $26 for two small subs (mostly bread) and two drinks. Learned my lesson now. Won't be returning anytime soon. Unfortunately tried them for the very first time today. They gave me a pepperoni pizza instead of a cheese pizza, then when I called for a refund they suggested i instead get store credit. I ventured to Auburn House Pizza after a recommendation from the local Police Department. Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted by one of the owners, George, who was a pleasure to speak with. He is a very pleasant man, very knowledgeable of them menu and took great care in making sure my order was correct. As I awaited my order, I watched George make a pizza, putting love into every topping to make sure that every topping was spread evenly throughout the pizza. As with the pizza, my order arrived, the the Taco on Syrian bread. The bread I found out was baked fresh on site daily. I completely enjoyed my lunch. It was delicious. This was the closest pizza place to our hotel. We placed our order online for a large Italian grinder and large house special pizza. Total was $25. The sandwich was definitely a 5. The pizza, on the other hand, was a 3. Flavorless crust and the vegetable toppings weren't really cooked. It was warm, but should have been hot. Auburn Town Pizza has been a family favorite for decades. For as long as I can remember, the good folks here have provided quality service time and time again. Not only that, but they're incredibly friendly and welcoming, whether I'm eating in, getting takeout, or delivery. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, and there's plenty of seating for parties of any size. The food itself is fantastic; Town serves the traditional Greek-style pizza popular in Central Massachusetts, where the pies are made in a pan. I'm a big fan of this style, and it's consistently a home run here. I highly recommend their hamburger pizza, although every topping I've ever tried has been great. In fact, everything they serve is top notch, from their salads (mmmm steak tips) to their calzones (mmmm bbq chicken) to their appetizers (mmmm wings and potato skins). I haven't been to Auburn Town Pizza in many, many years. Not since they expanded and redid the whole place. My companion and I were in the mood for an "armpit" pizza (onion only), so while we were out running errands and shopping near Drury Square, we thought we'd pop in for lunch. As soon as we entered through the rear parking lot entrance, we were immediately struck by the pungent aroma of what was to be a portion of our lunch. I was surprised at how large the restaurant now is and even though it was the noon hour and they were doing a bustling take-out and dine-in business, there was plenty of seating available in both dining rooms (divided for some unknown odd reason). The service process hasn't changed: You make your selection(s) from a large board behind the counter (they have really expanded the menu options), pay for it, find yourself a table and wait for them to call the number on your ticket to pick up your order at the same counter. After grabbing a couple of Polar sodas ($1.50 each) from one of the coolers near the ordering area, the two of us put in our order for a small onion pizza ($7.25) and a small Italian grinder ($4.45) to share. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. We were not disappointed with our pizza which was really hot and rife with onions, or our grinder, which was perfectly toasted, as we requested, though we did think that Town Pizza's prices, especially for the small one-topping pizza, were a little higher than other area pizza joints of the same caliber. I don't exactly know how long ago the establishment underwent its transformation, but it seems they are still passing on the cost to their customers. We'll definitely be back when we are in the area again because of the quality of the food. We look forward to sampling some of the other interesting things from their large menu. read more

The pizza here is pretty damn good! The staff is super polite, and the prices are reasonable. The only bad experience I ever had here was with the meatballs. They were so dried out that I couldn't even swallow them. Other than that, I have no complaints. They also have a supermodel working there, so the aesthetics of the place provide the male clientele--and lesbian patrons--with the proper motivation to come back again and again! read more

Taxi and the crew work very hard to create the best home cooking in area! Bar-none!! They have just about the BEST soups, especially the lentil soup - I literally drives miles out of my way to have bowl...I have never been disappointed, that is unless they're out of it when I get there. Finally stopped in here. I pass by here all the time, saw them two years ago on FOX 25 Zip Trip, but never stopped in before. Not sure what time lunch is at the high school but I was happy not to see a dining room full of students. There was a small line at the counter to place your order but nothing to complain about. As my partner in crime wanted chicken nuggets, I ordered a chicken parm sub. We sat in the dining room and watched TV and the fish while we waited. The wait wasn't long, about ten minutes, and away we went. I was not disappointed with my choice. The sub twas fantastic. This was not chicken patties. The chicken was tender and juicy with just the right amount of sauce.. They are open for breakfast, which will be next on my hit parade as I have a few doctors in the area. One word......crust. *melt* It's perfect. I can't explain this crust. It's like no other...and believe me, I've been to many, many pizza shops in my life. I have this soft spot for a good crust in a pizza. It either makes or breaks it and this one makes it by a huge lead!! It's crusty where it should be without being too thin. It's soft in the middle where it should be without being too doughy. Lots of variety for toppings too.Their subs are great with lots of filling and sauces aren't overbearing. I've never had their calzones so I won't comment on those. The decor is pretty standard for a pizza shop. The tables are good size and the chairs are ok. I just happened to go in here because my old faithful place was closed. Boy I was not disappointed. I ordered an Italian sub, Steak and Cheese sub, and a Mushroom-Bacon Pizza with pineapple. I think I found my new sub/pizza place. It is Greek pizza which I love. The sauce has a nice sweet taste. The steak is very tender and it was nice that they seasoned the the steak. I always forget to ask for seasoning on my sub so when I took a bite of the sub and it was so tasty and well seasoned and tender and it melted in your mouth I knew this was the place to go for my steak and cheese. The pizza sauce had a little sweetness which I liked and was not over powering with to much of the garlic or other Italian seasoning. The crust was crispy and thin but airy just a nice Greek style crust I have been looking for. The Italian sub was loaded with meat and looked very good. I went to college in Worcester, MA and as a certified pizza connoisseur I was somewhat disappointed in the pizza offerings of the city. Luckily, one day I drove towards Auburn and tried out Auburn Town Pizza. Since that day I have never looked back--it is my favorite pizza in the world. If you want to taste test get a small cheese pizza and eat it hot at the location. The crust is unbelievable, I can't describe it. Anyone who knows anything about pizza knows the true test of an establishment's pizza is trying out their cheese pizza...It is unreal at ATP. I now live in Boston but anytime I drive anywhere near Auburn (even on trips to/from New York), I stop at ATP and get a small cheese. read more
