-------------------------- 2024-12-11 REVIEW Robert Golden is amazing. He is very good at his job but he goes the extra mile, pays attention to details and takes the time to confirm that everything is working well. My wife and I had a clog in our main sewer line that caused a back-flow into our shower and bathtubs. We had a similar problem last year and Robert did a great job in fixing that problem. So we called him again. Since our current problem was an emergency, Robert rearranged his schedule and arrived at our place about 30 minutes later. As usual, he pre-cleaned and watered down the exterior walls and walkway in the work area to prevent stains from any splashes as he worked with his snake machine. After running the snake in the main sewer line for its full length of over 100 feet, it seemed to break through the clog. But shortly after, the water backed up again. So, Robert ran the snake again until all the water flowed through the drain line properly. At that point, most plumbers would call it a day and be on their way. But not Robert. To be extra thorough, he got out his shovel, dug into the dirt to get access to a second clean-out drain on the other side of the house, closer to the drain line's connection to the public sewer line at the street. He set up and ran his snake machine there, cleared out some roots and even ran the snake into the public sewer line. All done? Not Robert. To confirm that everything was flowing properly, he then re-set his heavy snake machine at the original clean-out drain and ran it again. We turned on all the faucets, shower and toilets in the house and let them run for a while to make sure that the drain line was flowing well and there was absolutely no back-flow. Now all done? No, not Robert. After cleaning the work area and spraying down everything, he had noticed my garden hose and faucet leaked very badly when in use, so he fixed that too, as a bonus! I can't believe the level of service Robert provides and how far above and beyond he goes! Thank you Robert for your great service! You're amazing! -------------------------- 2023-07-29 REVIEW My wife and I had a plumbing emergency during the weekend. We had a clog in our drain line that caused a backflow into the bathtub. We called around for a plumber but found that many plumbers were not immediately available on a Saturday, even companies that advertise emergency services. Luckily, we were able to get ahold of Robert of Golden Plumbing on the phone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Robert asked some questions to diagnose the problem. He asked me to take some pictures of the drain access pipe, which is at the side of our house. After I texted the pictures to him, he was able to determine that he could do the job at that access point.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since our situation was an emergency, he changed his work schedule to accomodate us. 30 minutes later, he was at our place to do the job. He brought his big snake machine and did a thorough job clearing the clog. [[HIGHLIGHT]]During the process, Robert took the time to explain what he was doing. As he worked the snake, my wife and I helped by running the hot water faucets and showers and flushing the toilets to clear out the drain line.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While removing the snake, he made sure that the work area was pre-sprayed and re-sprayed with water to keep everything clean. We were very happy for Robert's quick response and excellent work. The cost was $500, which we thought was fair and reasonable. Before the holiday Robert fixed our toilet that hadn't been flushing properly since even before the pandemic. The problem was very elusive, and several talented handymen had thrown up their hands at it. But Robert did some amazing troubleshooting and diagnosed the cause, which had to do with calcium build-up in certain parts of the toilet. His persistence and experience paid off. I have had them out twice and was way over charged both times. Charged $750 to install a new kitchen faucet. Did not require any new holes or anything complicated. Took about an hour. I paid for faucet before they came out so price was not including that. So at $750 an hour I would say I was in the wrong business! read more

He was at my condo one hour after I initially called him, on a Saturday, and my new water heater was up and running a few hours later. The installation job looks completely professional and clean, and Robert went over everything I needed to know about it, and the water heater itself. It's been working great since then. I called Robert at 9am about some bad work that another Plumber (rhymes with "Button") had done the night before. I was quoted $2,000 and only later found out that the previous plumber may have intentionally or accidentally cut the main gas line from my dryer.
