The cashier was nice and friendly, so I do appreciate the good service. However, the burger itself was not good at all -- I was very disappointed and left unsatisfied. On the way back from a trip to SE Asia I was tired ... like truly tired. My time zones were all over the place and I needed to sit down, have a beer and a maybe a sandwich and rest up for the remainder of my journey... I was so tired in fact, that I didn't even have the energy to drag myself to a lounge... I needed to sit! I was seated quickly but in a seat that was getting intense sun. Not wanting to suffer I got up and moved to a nearby spot that did not have blinding light... but was shamed for it. You see, it wasn't a table in the waitresses section. I asked if there was a non hellish seat in her section and she said basically the table I was at was the only option. I decided it was just awkward, so I kept at the table I was at without the sun, and quickly downed my beer. I didn't put in any food order because who wants to go through that whole mess when I only wanted a comfortable place to sit? So, after I downed my beer in quick fashion I paid my tab and hobbled to a lounge where I could at least sit without being guilted about not wanting to sit in the sun. The beer was ok. It's 9:15 am and the online kiosk has breakfast available but I preferred to sit down with family but the waitress tells me there's no more breakfast.. ok so we ask can we order drinks and a pizza and bring over the breakfast food from the kiosk bc that makes sense. The server with the least respectful attitude debates about us ordering food and drinks, asks us what kind of drinks we are getting despite us ordering a pizza we isn't available at the kiosk. After ordering from the kiosk another person goes to order and the other worker says no more breakfast despite there being about 40 breakfast burros under the warmer to buy. About 5 other people can up to order. In all it's was how they communicated no more breakfast than having none. With how successful golden road is at there standard locations I wouldn't want this being an experience millions of people have that will end up not going to again. But what do I know. I had a chance to check out golden road brewing with friends in the am right before our trip to Lake Tahoe. There were limited dining options especially at 8am but it was the only breakfast with a full bar I can find in Terminal 6, LAX! Upon sitting down, we were nicely greeted with menus. I've noticed there we only had 3 options for food - breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, or breakfast scramble. All served until 1030am only. The full bar is open to whatever you like which is a nice touch. A nice tech bonus is that there is a QR code on the table where you can scan in and put in an order instead of ordering from the waitress! Our waitress came in 8 mins after our food was ordered. Talk about fast if you have a flight to catch! I ordered a breakfast scramble which came with scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and fruit. The quality is subpar, a solid choice over McDonald's but not as good as IHOP, haha. Got a mimosa and it was alright. I've been to a few Golden Roads breweries and this place is OK in terms of service, quality and price. Make sure you have at least 30 mins to spare before boarding time! read more

The breakfast options weren't extensive, but they had the usual staples. We opted for the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito. You can choose fruit or potatoes to go with. The potatoes were described as roasted, but they were more like small little cubes just fried in oil. They were tough to eat. The food was fine, but nothing amazing. It's the airport so crowded and expensive. We got seated right away about 9AM on Saturday. Metal chairs were hard as a rock. Ordered 2 breakfast burrito's at $16.99 and 1 coffee at $4.69 and one water for free. Other options about the same price. Burritos were very good, freshly made and had lots of crispy bacon inside with the eggs, above average and definitely made to order. The menu said they came with roasted potatoes or fruit. We did not specify and fruit was the default, cantaloupe and honeydew mellon. It was good but a bit underripe. The coffee was huge and refillable so we shared it. The food came up quickly but as we waited we saw the breakfast flatbread go by and it was spectacular. Wished we had ordered that instead for about $1.50 less. Service was good and responsive. Checked out using the QR code on the table to get our bill and pay with our phone. For some reason, they only offered Google or Apple Pay but you could key in your own credit card. read more

Meanwhile, we sat patiently, ok almost patiently waiting for our server. None came. When the server came with the guy's salad I asked if she could take our order. She said that our server would be over shortly. She wasn't. So I went to the bar to order. She asked where I was seated and I pointed. She said the server would be over to get our order. I asked if she could just take my order and she said only if I was seated at the bar. So I did finally get my beer as I watched the guy next to me finish his salad. My opinion of this restaurant is that their mission is not focused on the customer and that their operational rules impact the ability to provide good service. If you just want a beer before your next flight, I would recommend the bar near gate 68 instead. Thanks to the servers, many who suffer from poor business practices focused on things other than customer service and satisfaction. read more
