Came to Boomtown Brewery after a group run with my running club and two other LA run crews, and it was such a fun experience! The place has a really cool, laid-back vibe spacious, industrial style, and super inviting. It got busy, but the staff handled it well and were friendly the whole time. I don't drink, but my friends all grabbed beers and kept saying how good they were (they're definitely known for their craft beers). Everyone was happy, which says a lot! I just enjoyed the atmosphere and the energy of the crowd. There's plenty of seating, clean bathrooms (always important), and even a separate room with a stage, so it looks like they host live music and events too. Great Vibes, Games, Karaoke & Churros -- We'll Be Back Came to check out Boomtown Brewery with my boyfriend and had such an awesome time. Even on a soggy, rainy day, this place delivered great vibes. We arrived a bit early and got to explore both rooms, which was a fun experience in itself. The first room had karaoke, long tables and benches, cozy sofas, dart machines, a photo booth, games, and restrooms. It's also very pet-friendly--as long as your dog is leashed. They even have water bowls for pets, which we loved. The second room to the right has board games, two pool tables, high tops, more seating, sofas, and the main bar. The whole space has a rustic, industrial feel with lots of cool hanging plants, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Everyone was friendly and kind. There was a food truck on site, and we also got lucky with a mobile churro vendor called Hippie Churro--we ordered two churros (one strawberry-filled and one plain), and they were delicious. $7 well spent. We enjoyed a michelada and an IPA, played Jenga, listened to music, and caught some karaoke performances. Overall, an amazing night with great energy and a solid setup for hanging out, playing games, and just enjoying the moment. We'll definitely be back soon. read more

The only thing is on special events it can get very crowded and their restrooms are so small. This place was busy! Not only were the drinks good, but they had a big projector with the soccer game in and everyone was so focused! Such a great atmosphere and the vibes were super chill. They had on some Latin music after the game was over and people got up and danced. Loved every minute of it. The lines to get beer were long but they were quick. Went there for a food festival event but ended up staying after because we really liked the space. It's even bigger than it looks from outside. There's a back area with plenty of seating both inside and outside. They have pool tables and throwback video arcade games. They have a lot of different flavors for their drinks which I like and will definitely be back to try others. I really liked their cider. I am def a Boomtown Baddie thru and thru (feel free to use this name for future beer names ;) Of all the breweries I have visited, this spot seems to be my favorite. Location wise, it just gives. You are near several other bustling areas like Little Tokyo & Arts District, it's like a plyground. The brewey has plenty of seating, pitchers of beers, arcade games, screen to watch sports games, pool tables, giant jenga (although I didn't see it this last time I went), all good vibes. Any brewery that has games, has my heart. I love the wood decor with hanging plants. The overall feel of this place is just inviting. From the leather casual sitting, to the artwork and music, to the selection of beers, this place just gives fun times with friends, chisme, jokes and games. Their security is great, greets you at the front and gives you the welcomed feeling from the jump. I appreciate the feedback from the people working when I ask questions on their beers on tap. One of the very few Breweries in LA that isn't a pain in the ass to find parking with good robust choices for harder beers with body and sharp flavors. The Dark Ambience is great. Went down the block( tried all the beers ) with flights and it's a good place for a brew. service is great and are very generous with their approach. Boomtown Brewery is a teeny bit out of the way in Little Tokyo, but worth the visit. The brewery consists of two large areas that can seat big groups at long tables or sofas. Tip: the brewery allows you to bring/order your own food! The staff was very helpful in making decisions. I tried a flight with a range from light to heavier beers (even got a bonus one to try): - Pasta Water: an easy going pilser - Las Palmas: West coast pale ale - Atomic rattlesnake: super tasty imperial IPA - Cost of Business: watermelon passionfruit sour - Brett Michaels blonde sour: my favorite at the time At the time of visit, the brewery hosted a side event for adopting pets, which was a cute and almost irresistible. I'm assuming there are multiple events being held at the space, which makes it a lively and diverse place to visit. Next time I'll go, I'll have to pick up some of the merch they're selling. This brewery is so tucked inside of DTLA. Place is lively inside (with two pool tables and darts) and outside. On Saturday night there was a wedding reception in the event space and it didn't even interrupt the patrons of the brewery. Except we all shared the bathrooms. What a great place to have our annual christmas meet. We've been meeting here for the past years and it never disappoints. The beer flows and the flavors are awesome. I always ask for a dark beer recommendation and let the tenders help with my choice. The staff are always on point. The atmosphere is a mix of both, high energy and spots also to chill. I can't believe I've never been to boomtown! This place is GREAT for large groups to have a drink. There's ample space with lots of couches and tables (indoor and outdoor) to relax and have a conversation. They have sports playing on their two large TVs, pool tables, darts, ping pong, and arcade games. They also have the classic board games but my partner and I brought our own. I asked the bartender what drink he recommended for someone who likes sweet drinks or stouts and he made numerous recommendations. I drank the good boy decoy and its name is spot on. Do not use Boomtown Brewery as the customer service was very poor. I lost my mother in-law, and they refused to give me a refund for money that I paid for my daughter's graduation celebration. After countless emails back and forth they agreed to refund me half of the payment. They wouldn't even talk to me over the phone; they were so unprofessional. I have never been to a brewery that treat their customers so poorly. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

That aside, the food is delicious, the fries are just like the ones from Five Guys, and the place is big, has pool tables, arcade machines, a ping pong table, corn hole games and a stage for a band (or stand up comedian?). Fun little brewery located in the arts District in downtown Los Angeles. The beer here is decent, but I suspect that people come here because it is a really fun place to hang out at. The place itself is pretty huge so you can have big groups meet here. The folks here are friendly as well. Overall, I would say this is a fun place to visit. We came here for a private event (birthday), and the space was amazing!! So spacious, with a stage, large leather couch area, many indoor picnic tables, a private bar/bartender, and a games area with an arcade, ping pong table, cornhole, and a photobooth!
