I went to BB near the Arts District in LA for a b'ness event. There were positives and negatives, but the overall experience was very positive. Positives: Nice staff, good food and big space. In addition to the b'ness event, we watched the opening game of the NFL season. The TV was large and fairly clear; Negatives: Beer only. IDK about you, but as I've become older, I can't drink as much beer. Its so filling and it makes me pee a lot. It would be nice if they had a full bar; Street parking only altho there is no charge. It seemed like all the spots on the street BB is located on were taken. Not sure how much parking is on the adjacent busier streets; If I were in the area I would return. However, I would start the evening at BB, not end the evening. I like to have hard liquor when I drink. It doesn't make me run to the mens room as much vs beer, and it is less filling. read more

I'll give this place 5 stars bc it hosted a great chess club I know that's righttttt hahah the dj was okay at first, but then he got way better! There was maybe 70 ppl there just for chess and then they have another huge room and had a separate event, seems like this place cares about the community to bring us together. All about the Boomtown Brewery! This Arts District favorite is a beat away from Union Station where I typically make my way over from to enjoy all the good good that Boom has to offer. Located on Jackson Street between N Vignes Street and Center Street (but actually on the corner on Vignes) you can find local street parking throughout the area, but nothing beats a train ride or a ride share to enjoy responsibly. Always have a great time here on the inside or their long patio with flat screens outdoors (as well as in) to catch the latest events. DJs always spinning the best beats. The brewery where the make the magic is pretty spacious yet intimate. Was able to go on a tour here and learn more about the ins and outs. The taproom is stellar for group hangs and socials. Pool tables, photo booth, arcade style games, loungey area, communal seating, and local food vendors who come out and serve up great eats. Not as many vegan friendly spot, though the few that are on select days and times are pretty solid. If you're an IPA enthusiasts they have at least 6 on the rotation including the Nose Job (7% abv) and a personal fav. Their Hydration Break WC IPA, is a little more of India Pale Ale punch (7.4%), but you can't go wrong with any. Flights are still a recommend if you want to feel out the variety. For Hard Seltzer lovers, you've got the Frosty Fresco or Al Fresco. Fruit Snacks Lager is surprisingly epic as is the Brett Michael's Blonde Sour. I do miss some of their more seasonals such as the red lager aka Part-Time Lover but do enjoy all that's on the rotation. You can pop in for events like Friday Karaoke, Tuesday Taproom Trivia or Open Mic Mondays. Book a private event for all style of events. Family and pet friendly until 7pm. Beer and wine packages available with up to 300 person capacity. No matter the day... Still come for the beer, stay for the cheer. Take in the rustic decor, artsy vibes outdoors. Swung by with my boiz on a Friday around 10pm and love the spot immediately! They have a stage in a grunge/warm warehouse area in one section for Kate one , and indoor bar space with many long tables and pool tables. We had hella rounds of Las Palmas on Draft and signed up for the karaoke list. It was jumping obviously so the list was long and sadly hadn't got called after maybe 2 hours there lol. We ended up getting some cookies from an indoor stand a vendor had set up inside. They were good af. Overall it's a laid back cool spot to down a few rounds with friends, and we did end up singing along a lot of times... so we kinda got a performance in lol. Some performers clearly outshined others but was a good time! I also liked that it's a dog friendly establishment so best believe I got some good pets in with the furry friends. A friend invited me to this spot, and I was surprised it was a bit empty considering the World Cup was going on I thought it would be more crowded. I had never heard of or been here before, but it seemed like a chill spot overall. Came to Boomtown Brewery after a group run with my running club and two other LA run crews, and it was such a fun experience! The place has a really cool, laid-back vibe spacious, industrial style, and super inviting. It got busy, but the staff handled it well and were friendly the whole time. I don't drink, but my friends all grabbed beers and kept saying how good they were (they're definitely known for their craft beers). Everyone was happy, which says a lot! I just enjoyed the atmosphere and the energy of the crowd. There's plenty of seating, clean bathrooms (always important), and even a separate room with a stage, so it looks like they host live music and events too. Great Vibes, Games, Karaoke & Churros -- We'll Be Back Came to check out Boomtown Brewery with my boyfriend and had such an awesome time. Even on a soggy, rainy day, this place delivered great vibes. We arrived a bit early and got to explore both rooms, which was a fun experience in itself. The first room had karaoke, long tables and benches, cozy sofas, dart machines, a photo booth, games, and restrooms. It's also very pet-friendly--as long as your dog is leashed. They even have water bowls for pets, which we loved. The second room to the right has board games, two pool tables, high tops, more seating, sofas, and the main bar. The whole space has a rustic, industrial feel with lots of cool hanging plants, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Everyone was friendly and kind. There was a food truck on site, and we also got lucky with a mobile churro vendor called Hippie Churro--we ordered two churros (one strawberry-filled and one plain), and they were delicious. $7 well spent. We enjoyed a michelada and an IPA, played Jenga, listened to music, and caught some karaoke performances. This place was busy! Not only were the drinks good, but they had a big projector with the soccer game in and everyone was so focused! Such a great atmosphere and the vibes were super chill. You are near several other bustling areas like Little Tokyo & Arts District, it's like a plyground. The brewey has plenty of seating, pitchers of beers, arcade games, screen to watch sports games, pool tables, giant jenga (although I didn't see it this last time I went), all good vibes. Any brewery that has games, has my heart. I love the wood decor with hanging plants. The overall feel of this place is just inviting. From the leather casual sitting, to the artwork and music, to the selection of beers, this place just gives fun times with friends, chisme, jokes and games. Their security is great, greets you at the front and gives you the welcomed feeling from the jump. I appreciate the feedback from the people working when I ask questions on their beers on tap. On Saturday night there was a wedding reception in the event space and it didn't even interrupt the patrons of the brewery. Except we all shared the bathrooms. There's ample space with lots of couches and tables (indoor and outdoor) to relax and have a conversation. They have sports playing on their two large TVs, pool tables, darts, ping pong, and arcade games. They also have the classic board games but my partner and I brought our own. I asked the bartender what drink he recommended for someone who likes sweet drinks or stouts and he made numerous recommendations. I drank the good boy decoy and its name is spot on. This delicious coffee-esque stout tasted so good I became naughty at the end of the night. I will be back! read more
