All about the Boomtown Brewery! This Arts District favorite is a beat away from Union Station where I typically make my way over from to enjoy all the good good that Boom has to offer. Located on Jackson Street between N Vignes Street and Center Street (but actually on the corner on Vignes) you can find local street parking throughout the area, but nothing beats a train ride or a ride share to enjoy responsibly. Always have a great time here on the inside or their long patio with flat screens outdoors (as well as in) to catch the latest events. DJs always spinning the best beats. The brewery where the make the magic is pretty spacious yet intimate. Was able to go on a tour here and learn more about the ins and outs. The taproom is stellar for group hangs and socials. Pool tables, photo booth, arcade style games, loungey area, communal seating, and local food vendors who come out and serve up great eats. Not as many vegan friendly spot, though the few that are on select days and times are pretty solid. If you're an IPA enthusiasts they have at least 6 on the rotation including the Nose Job (7% abv) and a personal fav. Their Hydration Break WC IPA, is a little more of India Pale Ale punch (7.4%), but you can't go wrong with any. Flights are still a recommend if you want to feel out the variety. For Hard Seltzer lovers, you've got the Frosty Fresco or Al Fresco. Fruit Snacks Lager is surprisingly epic as is the Brett Michael's Blonde Sour. I do miss some of their more seasonals such as the red lager aka Part-Time Lover but do enjoy all that's on the rotation. You can pop in for events like Friday Karaoke, Tuesday Taproom Trivia or Open Mic Mondays. Book a private event for all style of events. Family and pet friendly until 7pm. Beer and wine packages available with up to 300 person capacity. No matter the day... Still come for the beer, stay for the cheer. Take in the rustic decor, artsy vibes outdoors. Swung by with my boiz on a Friday around 10pm and love the spot immediately! They have a stage in a grunge/warm warehouse area in one section for Kate one , and indoor bar space with many long tables and pool tables. We had hella rounds of Las Palmas on Draft and signed up for the karaoke list. It was jumping obviously so the list was long and sadly hadn't got called after maybe 2 hours there lol. We ended up getting some cookies from an indoor stand a vendor had set up inside. They were good af. Overall it's a cool spot to down a rounds, and we up singing along a lot of times. . Some performers clearly outshined others but was a good time! Definitely would come back to try making the list earlier another time. Cool find! read more

A friend invited me to this spot, and I was surprised it was a bit empty considering the World Cup was going on I thought it would be more crowded. I had never heard of or been here before, but it seemed like a chill spot overall. It's a pretty big place with both outdoor seating and a split indoor layout, but everything was nice and comfortable. I ordered a beer flight I only ended up being a fan of one of them, but that one definitely hit, so that's a win. Came to Boomtown Brewery after a group run with my running club and two other LA run crews, and it was such a fun experience! The place has a really cool, laid-back vibe spacious, industrial style, and super inviting. It got busy, but the staff handled it well and were friendly the whole time. I don't drink, but my friends all grabbed beers and kept saying how good they were (they're definitely known for their craft beers). Everyone was happy, which says a lot! I just enjoyed the atmosphere and the energy of the crowd. There's plenty of seating, clean bathrooms (always important), and even a separate room with a stage, so it looks like they host live music and events too. Big plus: it feels like a great spot to hang out after a run or meet up with friends. I've also heard they often have food trucks, which makes it even better. Great Vibes, Games, Karaoke & Churros -- We'll Be Back Came to check out Boomtown Brewery with my boyfriend and had such an awesome time. Even on a soggy, rainy day, this place delivered great vibes. We arrived a bit early and got to explore both rooms, which was a fun experience in itself. The first room had karaoke, long tables and benches, cozy sofas, dart machines, a photo booth, games, and restrooms. It's also very pet-friendly--as long as your dog is leashed. They even have water bowls for pets, which we loved. The second room to the right has board games, two pool tables, high tops, more seating, sofas, and the main bar. The whole space has a rustic, industrial feel with lots of cool hanging plants, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Everyone was friendly and kind. There was a food truck on site, and we also got lucky with a mobile churro vendor called Hippie Churro--we ordered two churros (one strawberry-filled and one plain), and they were delicious. $7 well spent. We enjoyed a michelada and an IPA, played Jenga, listened to music, and caught some karaoke performances. Overall, an amazing night with great energy and a solid setup for hanging out, playing games, and just enjoying the moment. We'll definitely be back soon. read more

Fantastic ambiance! This place has such a cool vibe and great indoor space as well as outdoor seating. Inside gives off an elevated but still relaxing feel and outdoors was like a secret garden vibe. Las Palmas 100% my favorite beer from them. I love the place because it's huge and they have plenty of seating options. You can be close to the live music or be somewhere a bit more quiet. People are nice, as well. I had no issues with parking. read more

This was my second visit to Boomtown and I enjoyed the laidback vibe. We had patient and friendly beer tenders who suggested a few styles to try. After sampling a few beers, I chose the Graffiti IPA. Went here for an event and place was dark and damp at a dead end. Very grimey feel and not for me. Ordered a beer and it was not ice cold kinda warm for a summer night. This place was busy! Not only were the drinks good, but they had a big projector with the soccer game in and everyone was so focused! Such a great atmosphere and the vibes were super chill. They had on some Latin music after the game was over and people got up and danced. Loved every minute of it. The lines to get beer were long but they were quick. Went there for a food festival event but ended up staying after because we really liked the space. It's even bigger than it looks from outside. There's a back area with plenty of seating both inside and outside. They have pool tables and throwback video arcade games. They have a lot of different flavors for their drinks which I like and will definitely be back to try others. I really liked their cider. I am def a Boomtown Baddie thru and thru (feel free to use this name for future beer names ;) Of all the breweries I have visited, this spot seems to be my favorite. Location wise, it just gives. You are near several other bustling areas like Little Tokyo & Arts District, it's like a plyground. The brewey has plenty of seating, pitchers of beers, arcade games, screen to watch sports games, pool tables, giant jenga (although I didn't see it this last time I went), all good vibes. Any brewery that has games, has my heart. I love the wood decor with hanging plants. The overall feel of this place is just inviting. From the leather casual sitting, to the artwork and music, to the selection of beers, this place just gives fun times with friends, chisme, jokes and games. Their security is great, greets you at the front and gives you the welcomed feeling from the jump. I appreciate the feedback from the people working when I ask questions on their beers on tap. One of the very few Breweries in LA that isn't a pain in the ass to find parking with good robust choices for harder beers with body and sharp flavors. The Dark Ambience is great. Went down the block( tried all the beers ) with flights and it's a good place for a brew. service is great and are very generous with their approach. Boomtown Brewery is a teeny bit out of the way in Little Tokyo, but worth the visit. The brewery consists of two large areas that can seat big groups at long tables or sofas. Tip: the brewery allows you to bring/order your own food! The staff was very helpful in making decisions. I tried a flight with a range from light to heavier beers (even got a bonus one to try): - Pasta Water: an easy going pilser - Las Palmas: West coast pale ale - Atomic rattlesnake: super tasty imperial IPA - Cost of Business: watermelon passionfruit sour - Brett Michaels blonde sour: my favorite at the time At the time of visit, the brewery hosted a side event for adopting pets, which was a cute and almost irresistible. I'm assuming there are multiple events being held at the space, which makes it a lively and diverse place to visit. Next time I'll go, I'll have to pick up some of the merch they're selling. What a great place to have our annual christmas meet. We've been meeting here for the past years and it never disappoints. The beer flows and the flavors are awesome. I always ask for a dark beer recommendation and let the tenders help with my choice. The staff are always on point. The atmosphere is a mix of both, high energy and spots also to chill. I can't believe I've never been to boomtown! This place is GREAT for large groups to have a drink. There's ample space with lots of couches and tables (indoor and outdoor) to relax and have a conversation. They have sports playing on their two large TVs, pool tables, darts, ping pong, and arcade games. They also have the classic board games but my partner and I brought our own. I asked the bartender what drink he recommended for someone who likes sweet drinks or stouts and he made numerous recommendations. I drank the good boy decoy and its name is spot on. the general manager at this place is the biggest a**hole. he's extremely rude and honestly misogynistic. he charged my group double the price of what beer was & then did not react well when we called him out. go here if you want to be disrespected, especially as a woman! he did not want to hear us out bc his attitude was that he's "always right." we just wanted to celebrate our friends birthday and he decided to try to make himself feel better by asserting his "dominance" as general manager. but not only that, also clearly tried to asset his dominance as an apparent man. such a shame because it was my first time here and I was excited to visit. if they get new management, it would be much better! security was nice and was trying to meditate because he at least realized how disgusting it was for a so called "man" to be speaking to a group of girls this way. if the general manager goes, I imagine it'll be a great place to be. other than the general manager, great vibe! just be warned if you're a woman and you come into contact with the a-hole that seems to get off from being in a position of power at this location. read more
