I joined Golden State CrossFit a couple weeks ago. I hadn't been working out since Covid started so I definitely felt like I was starting from the beginning again. I had 4 personal training sessions with Chawg before starting the actual CrossFit classes. This was great because he really focused of my form and technique. Christy is a great resource with regards to nutrition. She has motivated me to keep on track and to fuel and hydrate my body properly. And she is so nice! The coaches for the classes are awesome - both Jamesia and Zachary give great tips and step by step direction. They also can scale/ modify the exercises when you are first starting so it is not too hard or overwhelming. They definitely have a positive team vibe and everyone supports and cheers each other on! Unfortunately this is the only CrossFit gym in Antioch. I frequent Antioch quite often, given That I am off work this week i am I am visiting from out of town and needed a gym to go to. There had been a couple times I reached out where I called and left Messages to see what I had to do to come in for a visitor work out I never received a phone call and I didn't think anything about it but this week I did everything that I needed to I visited their website and filled out the guest information and I never received a phone call back or an email response this place is certainly not somewhere where I'd like to come and visit and do a work out if they simply cannot respond to any inquiries how my supposed to feel comfortable or welcome in this facility? I was looking for a CrossFit gym and came across this one. I set up a free intro meeting on their website to check the place out. I received a text from 925-420-8464 a couple days before as a reminder which I appreciated! The day of the meeting I also received a text an hour before the meeting to confirm. I responded with nothing back. I arrived and waited 10 mins after the scheduled time and no one showed. The place was black (this was at 2:30pm). I tried texting the number again stating the door is locked. I NEVER received anything back. I've tried calling both numbers (online and the one who texted) and no one answers EVER. Seems like this could of been a bad set up but so far, seems like a very unprofessional place. read more

Are you looking to get a good workout in, well look no more! Golden State has welcomed my family with open arms. I began my journey back into CrossFit 8 weeks after having my baby. I already knew the workouts were not going to be easy, but going in the coaches worked with me to scale the workouts appropriately so that I was successful and listening to my body as well. Spent a week in Pittsburg for work and visited Golden State three times. The best thing about this gym is the community and coaches. Each day everyone introduced themselves and made me feel comfortable. The coaches were professional and passionate about what they do.
