I haven't been to the gym in like 3 weeks due to being injured and when I return I'm happy to see they finally got some new equipment (after all what are the club fees I'm paying on top of my monthly membership for?) only to be told by the mall cop worker that they don't allow gym bags. I was told to either lock it up and carry my stuff around the gym limiting me OR to risk getting my car window broken by putting it in my car. This is how they solve for people "stealing" the equipment that WE as customers pay for. So dumb? And they can't even send out a notice saying the rules have changed. This place is not it. read more

I come here whenever I find time to, usually between 830-10 am or 1-230pm. Never really too packed. I mostly just use the treadmill and stair master. There's a lot of treadmill so no waiting & you can walk with no one next to you. There's only like 8 star master machines so sometimes it's busy. The bathrooms are fairly clean. I don't really use anything else from this gym. Always greeted when I walk in or leave. There's water bottles available to purchase. Lockers if you bring your own lock. Paper towels and sanitizer spray for before and after working out on machines. read more

I'm very impressed by this gym. First of all for the times that I go it is never crowded. It's too bad they don't have sauna or a steam room however, they do have quick exercise rooms where you can quickly do your exercises and then just go home. There are four squat racks/smith machines and tons of treadmills. Not sure why they have so many. It's a very clean gym however you are limited on equipment since it is a smaller gym. I love that Planet Fitness has multiple locations and that I can use any when I travel, which I do, a lot. The gym is fine, great even, however I like to tan after I work out and the tanning rooms and beds have been filthy every time I go there. I won't use a lay down bed because the one time I did there was trash on the floor, and lotion smears on the bed, top & bottom, the floor and walls. The top acrylic had a thick layer of dust, as well. I've used the stand up since then and wipe it down before I use it but again, it has been filthy every time I go. For 2 consecutive days a used paper towel lay on the floor which tells me the employees aren't even entering the room and cleaning it. This is a health and safety issue. Tanning beds need to be completely sanitized, people can catch all kinds of unsavory things, from athletes foot to scabies and so much more. This is a service I'm paying for, tanning beds were one of the main reasons I chose Planet Fitness, so this is extremely disappointing. Came to this location while I was in town for a few weeks. I came as a guest with my husband and my boys were able to take advantage of the free teens summer program. The front desk staff was very polite, helpful and professional. The gym equipment was clean and there were plenty of machines so I didn't have to wait too long for anything. Let me start out by saying I have been a member of this gym from the day they opened. After a few years I started noticing the decline. The last couple years I have found myself going to the Pittsburg location instead because they (unlike Antioch) keep their gym much cleaner and in better running condition (machines not out of order, bathrooms clean). Now, the Pittsburg gym has updated with new machines and they no longer have the 30-Minute Workout room. They have machines that the Antioch gym is sorely lacking. It has been 6 whole years at the Antioch PF for me and I have not seen any change or attempt to refresh WHATSOEVER! Bathrooms smell like urine and I see clumps of dust around the machines! The Smith machine stations at the Pittsburg PF are smooth! Antioch machines feel old and unkept and it infuriates me that nothing is done about it! I WOULD PROUDLY WALK IN TO "MY" PF ONCE WE ARE UP TO PAR WITH OTHER PF's! It's utterly embarrassing! Get 'er done man! read more

I really loved the one in El Paso and I was excited to see it here in California and one close to my house. This Antioch Facilty on Lonetree is really nice. I'd say it's a pretty good size. Very clean, lots of cardio machines and work out areas. This one has other amenities like hydro massage beds, massage chairs, tanning booth etc. The only thing missing here is a sauna or steam room. After a workout I like to sit in either one. Or just use it for relaxation. I don't know if they offer any service like coach/trainers... of all the time I came in, I was never approach med by anyone. Maybe I'll ask next time. I know they don't offer any workout classes but someone correct me if I'm wrong. The staff have been very nice and helpful. My app has not worked a couple time to check in and they easily checked me in with my phone number. The membership fee though is very affordable you can choose from $10 or $24. I'd say go for the $24 monthly-this one allows you to bring a guest. Love this perk!!! read more

I love this location. Staff is friendly and they're always cleaning which I love! I love that it's close to me too. I mainly use the treadmill and take advantage of the black card benefits - massage chair and lounge massager. So perfect after walking for over an hour. This location is cool, I come here from time to time. However, plus size baby that was working at the front desk with my boy that wears his mask 24/7 around 6:40 am 6/1. She needs to pay attention to her surroundings (get out that phone) as well as check her attitude cause, baby, I'm not the one! She better go hit... never mind, I'll be nice cause I can definitely go in. Besides that, like I said, everyone else is hella cool here, I think I met all the staff. I come at random times. I've come at 4 am and the crowd is light until about 5:15 am. In the afternoon after 4 pm, it be hella kids (teenagers) taking up room, and bs'n on their phones in groups of 3-4 holding up the machines. At 9pm, it still be hella people. Almost makes you think this is the only gym in the area based on how many people are there, but Inshape is packed just the same. read more

Hi, I will not be coming back to this gym. The employee with the curly hair and glasses who's working there now was about to ring me up for a protein shake. She then asks me if I have scanned in which I had 15 minutes prior with her. As a black card member, I don't get discounts for protein shakes so I don't understand why I was asked to scan in again. That's not the part that's upsetting. She gets a phone call from another member with what appeared to be a billing issue. Rather than tell the member to please hold, she proceeds to have a 5 minute conversation with them. She never rung me up and when I finally asked if she was going to finish ringing me up, she raises her eyebrows at me as if I'm in the wrong. I put the drink back and depart. Please do better. It's not about customer service because the customer isn't always right but in this case, anyone would be upset. read more

I paid for this gym for years without using it. The one time I got my first ever late fee due to changing banks. No manager will call me back and nobody will waive the late fee. I wasn't even asking them to close my membership, but they closed it for unknown reasons and still refuse to work with me to get my payment information updated and the late fee waived. I opened a membership in the summer started out with $10 a month after a month I paid my yearly dues than upgraded to $20 and again after a month they took there dues again which made no sense I told management and she apologized and said she'll place a note for next year not to charge me, I had surgery that came up so I had to put my membership on freeze after 5 months I got charged my dues again so being frustrated I called and canceled my membership nothing happened I emailed them that went ignored they are very unprofessional never called me back and when I called I was put on hold by a manager and got hung up on. Crazy, so again I've been a member for years, ride my motorcycle just about every time and never had an issue leaving my helmet at the front desk until today. According to the young lady at the front desk we are to put our helmets in the locker. Now I think it's pretty obvious that it won't fit in a locker but nevertheless the young lady said the MANAGER said it's becoming a problem. Now I could understand if it were invading her work space and was in the way but no it's not. Crazy that it's never been an issue until now and when I usually come in the afternoon the managers are here and they have never said anything about it becoming an issue. While this is a basic gym, it does offer the water table and shiatsu chairs for a warm down. The machines are doubled and are kept clean by the staff and members. The most important aspect of this gym is that is kept CLEAN. I just moved from Modesto to Brentwood. I've gone to the Antioch locations couple times in the past and twice recently . Both times recently I was stared at by multiple men while working out, I know it happens. But last night was my first time going at night and not only was a man staring at me watching me workout he began to follow me and get closer and closer while staring with a smile on his face.... it was creepy af and just uncalled for... Once I call him a creep he then threatens me and says "I'll slap the fuck out of you right now bitch". I've been to all the planet fitnesses around. I've gone to Manteca, both gyms in Modesto, Tracy, ceres, Stockton, Turlock and none of these gyms have made me feel as uncomfortable as the gym in Antioch. It's not worth it.... I am a blind adult that needs a sided guide to safely navigate the planet fitness facility. I was told by the general manager that I am not able to have someone guide me through the gym unless I pay for them a membership. She was quickly advised by her legal team that that is unacceptable that I definitely could have a sided guide without paying for them a membership so that made her mad From then on every time I came in she would harass me at the checkout and follow us through the gym Then they made a mistake and wrongfully charged me $50 so I had enough and canceled my membership I still haven't received the $50 charge that was a mistake and it has been almost 3 months now. I had a horrible experience at the Antioch planet fitness I strongly suggest anyone that has any kind of Physical impairment or just might have to do things different than the average person you should find a different gym do not waste your time going here read more

Nice people &clean environment, restrooms are so clean you can see the grout, not mold... showers have ever hot water, there are rubber mates outside the showers so you don't slip and fall. I would recommend this place/I highly recommend this place. almost forgot to mention the changing stalls have chairs. read more

It's so busy here, there's really no point in coming. All machines are hogged up and there's a line for the next machine. Only thing that is open are cardio, even that is limited. I got injured and asked for a refund for my membership since I couldn't work out. The manager directed me to the billing company and told me they were the ones who made the charge. I emailed them and they told me that my home gym made the charge so I emailed the manager again on 9/7/23 and forwarded what the billing company had said. Didn't get a response. Tried to follow up 3 times and have been ignored. Save your money and go somewhere else the management is a bunch of thieves. If something changes I'll update this post but as for now I'll be directed people away from this gym and telling them to go elsewhere because of their shady business practices. I had with the Antioch manager Victoria today who I advised I cancelled my membership on Feb. 14 via phone because I was hit by a car and was not going to be able to come to any gym she advised me it could not have been cancelled because I had a balance due for 10.00, I asked her how could I have a balance when the payment is not do in till the 17th, she then advised the payment starts to process on the 10th of every month which should be unethical and illegal to charge a payment 7 days before it's due, she also advised it was never cancelled and there where not any notes, I know I cancelled it on the 14th because the representative at the gym rote my information down because I could not physically come in, so that means nothing was ever cancelled and I have been accruing a charge since February which is going to continue to rise because I cannot cancel intill I pay the balance which is 109.00, which i refuse to pay continuing charges after I know i cancel and they told me that it would cancel March 1. And I would not be charge anything further but they never followed through with the cancellation because I had a 10.00 balance back in February and no one never called me back to let me know that charges were going to keep accruing. Which I have called to speak to Victoria since Monday April 24 and they always just say she busy and take my information and never calls back I am not going to pay anything that accrues, which she was the manager back in February that was supposed to cancel it and she saying it was not her and theirs no notes and keeps giving me push back instead of trying to help me and provide a solution this place is horrible I heard about this location is not people friendly far as the staff and management and have ran a lot of long term members away when it comes to dues and fees for people that fell on hard times, I will be writing corporate as well because a member should not be still receiving charges every month When they cancelled but the ball was dropped and nothing was ever done now I have been continuing receiving charges every month since and now have a balance due which I never knew I was been charged all this time Nichole Devillier read more

ive been discriminated at this gym by TYA the manager at this location, 3 times i have been harassed and discriminated against by the same woman because of my backpack and shoes. multiple people have walked in this gym with crocs, slides, yeezy slides etc, yet when it has came to me she has told me multiple times to go home and change or to put my backpack in the car. during those times ive seen different individuals come into the gym and workout with their backpacks on, come in there and workout in crocs even their OWN coworkers have been seeing working in crocs and Birkenstocks as well. when i brought up this matter, the employee proceeded to say that " they can wear what ever they want because they are not working out" not a single person has said anything else to anybody else but me. i hope people would stop going to nasty gym, they pretend to clean around when they don't clean anything, the bathroom is filled with hair, toilet paper on the floor, and water all over the sinks. i hope this reaches out to the right people and report this gym as well. i got kicked out because of my shoes i was wearing, theres bigger issues in this world and i got threatened to get the cops called on me because of my shoes. take care. read more

I've been to multiple planet fitness locations and never have I ever been treated this way. The manager was looking my guest up and down as soon as we walked and after scanning mine and my guests codes she rudely said to my guest "you need to take a picture". Mind you this is after I've been to two other gyms where this same guest of mine was never asked for ID. But what's it's fine we said to ourselves and continued about our routine in the gym. At the end of your workout we decided to go ask to use the massage beds and the manager very rudely said "are you using your membership?Because she cant use the beds" she says this as she looks her up and down again. So my guest said to her in the calmest voice ever "are you being racist? I'll be reporting this location for discrimination" which she has the right to freedom of speech so there's nothing wrong with her calmly telling the manager that she's reporting the location for being judged and made uncomfortable. Now this Antioch general manager decides to contact my home gym after looking through my information and my home gym manager decides to leave me a voicemail in which she states she's calling on behalf of her sister property. I call back and she tells me she's calling me to tell me what their rules and regulations are. I ask why? She tells me because the Antioch general manager called her and claims my guest was being rude. Then continues to berate me because I tried to explain to her what happened because she was not there and she doesn't know how rude this general manager was being. Then continues to tell me she's revoking my membership. Mind you I'm a paying member for over 4+ yrs I've been to locations all over the place and never have I or my guests been treated as such before. And then to be threatened with something I pay for. I really hope this gym replaces their general manager because it seems they will continue to be judgemental and discriminatory opposite of what planet fitness stands for . Was going to join Planet Fitness in Antioch, so I can work out alongside my friends until they started harassing a friend of mine concerning membership and dues paid. He has been a long-standing member, even thru Covid. Being a successful business owner he understood tough times so he paid to show support even though he could not work out.
