Love golden wok. My family considers this the best in the neighborhood. Order all the time. Its always consistent. No complaints

This used to be my goto place before I left town I see it's still serving up quality! The guy at the counter had perfect customer service. Perfectly made ragoons and some fine crispy orange chicken with some nice soft wontons in my wonton soup that had actual flavor to the broth!!

Egg fried rice, veggie Lo Mein, and fried dumplings.

I would have given zero stars but one star is the lowest allowed. Order small egg fried rice, small veggie lo mien, and fried dumplings. Rice was hard and flavorless. Lo mien was just okay and the dumplings were also hard. I should have stuck to my go-to Chinese food place, Chine Wok, Mid-City Plaza in North Tonawanda. Truth be told, I do not believe I have ever thrown out Chinese food until today. I am glad I only spent $21.00. I won't be going back for more even if it is given to me. I should have relied on the bad reviews for this place. Live and learn.

Wasn't very impressed with this place. I have eaten American Chinese food almost all my life and this was definitely at the bottom. Food wasn't bad, just not much or anything. Sweet and sour pork had so much batter it was like almost eating a sweet donut. They didn't include the sauce so that wasn't very good. Lo mein was okay. Flavor was fine but the noodles were overcooked for my taste. Pineapple chicken was new to me and I liked it, but just so much sauce it made it soggy. The rice was weird. Small grains and just looked dirty. Kind of a mealy texture. Kids did not like the sesame chicken at all. Best part of dinner was the eggs rolls. They were huge. Fried nicely and super crispy. Heard many good things about this place and was let down terribly.

A decent place to order Chinese takeout. Ordered Orange chicken and Bean curd Szechuan style and both were pretty satisfactory. Nothing super special, but the portion sizes were on the bigger side. The tofu in the Bean curd Szechuan is extra firm, so the tofu is on the chewier side, but tasted good.

    All rice no entree

I wish I could give this a better rating, but alas, I was super disappointed in this Chinese cuisine. I ordered the pork in garlic sauce lunch special and an appetizer of crab meat Rangoon. For $6, I expected my wontons to have a sufficient amount of filling inside, instead it was all fried wonton, no filling, I ended up throwing half a bag of wonton scraps away. Also I ordered my lunch special with no onions, and low and behold onions were all in the rice. And there was a lot of that said rice, I barely saw any of the entree in the container. I will say the garlic sauce was flavorful for the little bit I had, just the right amount of heat ! I won't be back to order again through door dash though.... I can get a better $20 lunch for my once a week takeout order.

Delicious food and pretty big serving sizes. A little expensive but worth it. Super fresh every time.

We stumbled…read moreacross them because it was pretty late for dinner and our regular Chinese food place was closed. Crystal stays open until 1 am! They open at 4 pm, just an fyi. We got a bunch of stuff and everything was delicious. Literally the best beef lo mein I've had since I moved here six years ago. I've been just settling with it at other places so this was an exciting discovery! We also ordered sesame shrimp. It wasn't like other sesame dishes we've gotten. It was a pink sauce that was similar to sweet and sour, but it was very good and the shrimp were large and plump and cooked perfectly. We tried their fried dough just on a whim and it's like nothing I've had before... it's a nice little add on for $3.50. They have American Chinese and also authentic dishes, which is fun. Prices are in line with other Chinese food restaurants and portions are pretty generous. We'll definitely be back...like, hopefully very soon!

But go inside and enjoy some delicious Chinese food and extremely reasonable prices. The service is friendly and super fast, and the portions are huge. I only had their American style Chinese food, but they also had a large menu of authentic Chinese cuisine on the weekend. The interior is simple but very clean, with lots of booths. I highly recommend Crystal Asian for great Chinese food!

Secondly, white rice is ordered separately: It is not included in the cost of the dish. The owner handily takes orders (table service as we were alone and I was senior to her); the chef had my order on the table in just five minutes!! Lamb with cumin: Absolutely delicious! The side of rice was just the right degree of sticky to absorb the lamb juices! I plan to stop here every time I shop for groceries at the Asian Market (it's right around the corner).

I love authentic Chinese food and seek it out when traveling. So, when in the area recently I did…read moresome research and this place came up as being probably the most authentic in the Buffalo and Niagara areas, so I went for lunch. Sure enough, their menu is legit, filled with many of the recognizable delicacies you won't find at the ordinary Chinese-American joints. Entering the place is odd, they have a weather barrier (those plastic slats) hanging from the door after you open the glass door - very odd placement of them. Inside is rather small and simple, not decorated much, it's truly a carry-out place that provides table service too. Service was decent, far from fancy. I decided to try their cumin beef and an order of scallion pancakes. The cumin beef came out first and though I asked for it to be spicy, it most definitely was very mild. The flavor was a little bland overall and this is typically a dry-wok'd type of stir fry with more oil and less sauce, but mine was slightly saucy and lacking flavor completely. The scallion pancakes looked and tasted decent. Perhaps if I ordered something different I would have enjoyed the food more. I still recommend stopping in if you're seeking authentic Chinese, I'm sure they have some great dishes here.

The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container.
