I recently got back to Lee's for lunch. Had another great lunch there. Their lunch specials are very good and priced very reasonably. Service was fast and polite. I am totally impressed with this restaurant. The first thing that stood out for me, was the fact the restaurant was so clean. Many Chinese restaurants that are in the Buffalo area, I avoid due to the fact the inside looks so raggedy. As for the food, even though it's typical American style Chinese food. I will say that, I really enjoyed it. I would definitely order from here again. Mei fun- (chicken) nice amount to share. The food wasn't as bad as the service. It was striking to have a young girl mistreat you, and then hear her take an order over the phone and grow impatient with the person giving an order. It is unacceptable to be treated with disrespect by a child. We will NOT be coming back. read more

Was searching for Christmas carry-out options and decided to take a chance on Lee's on the recommendation of family and a review posted earlier today. Food was really good, hot and fresh. Since they were super busy it took a little over an hour to get our order. Two kids were running the front end of the place, and would give polite updates when customers would ask about their orders. One gentleman came in and sat with us while we were waiting and he said he has waited up to 2 hours on Christmas in the past but keeps coming back because it's so good and the service is friendly. The wonton soup was delicate, not overly salty, with flavorful wontons. Crab Rangoon was extra crispy--which is how I prefer. Shrimp egg rolls were large and the filling was tasty. My wife and I were looking for a new Chinese place and Lee's was amazing!! It's a nice small little restaurant and this place was buzzing! When we came in to pick it up there must have been a new person entering every minute! We ordered and enjoyed the general tso's entree, house lo mein, and a side of the pork fried dumplings! I've been meaning to find a Chinese cuisine spot as I am always craving it but most never seem to hit the spot. This place was different. This place was so deceiving from the outside but once you enter you are welcomed into a beautiful clean environment. Our waitress was so kind & very attentive. We got served quickly as well! I am usually not a fan of shrimp rangoon but my husband ordered it & I actually was in love! It is the best I have ever tried. Moreover, the fried rice was so flavorful & delicious. This place seems to be very promising. They already have Ma Po Tofu and Pad Thais on the menu. Last time, I saw a note about dim sum being offered soon. We experienced only a wonderful service. Our meals were good and satisfying. Lee's Family prepares tasty food. Their hot and sour and wonton soups are one of the best. We tried Moo Shu Shrimp, Hunan and Mongolian Beef and it was all very good, not too oily and decent portions. Only one time my Pineapple Shrimp was not described accurately. It was 'sweet and sour' style with sweet red sauce and fried breaded shrimp. The pineapple was canned and added even more sugar. It won't be my choice in the future. All entrees with rice are available for lunch and dinner combo, which is a great deal. I'm always in search of good 'chow fun' and it could be my next choice when I'm around. The interior looks much like it did under the previous owners -- simple, clean with cozy lighting. There is always music playing and the atmosphere is quiet, calm and inviting. read more

We have been to Lee's several times in the past 6 months and have always been happy with the quality of the food! That being said, EVERY time we order take-out they tell us it's 20-30 minutes! Generally speaking, this is longer than most others take out Chinese restaurants and we have NEVER received our take out order in LESS than 1 hour ! This is completely unacceptable ! The last time we ordered, they had 2 young children cashing out and running orders! I don't think we'll be ordering here again until they get some additional help! read more

This was not the spot for us. We got some basic fare we commonly get to try out. The crab Rangoon seems possibly house-made, but the filing was very wet and onion heavy. The General Tso chicken didn't have much flavor to the sauce. The sesame noodles were more of a tangy spicy noodle type of flavor. Lee's Family Chinese Restaurant is a fairly new restaurant and if you are craving Chinese, it's a must! I've made it my go to for Chinese cuisine now...it's that delicious! Everything I've tried has been amazing! The ingredients are fresh, veggies crisp and spice is on point! I've requested only certain vegetables in my entree and my spice level to be elevated and they've delivered perfectly on every request. I usually order take-out, and I've dined in on one occasion. The prices are exceedingly reasonable and the portions are very generous. The inside of the restaurant is nothing over the top, but extremely clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating. It's located in a strip plaza with plenty of ample parking. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out! read more

I unfortunately don't have any pictures because I happened to order from here when I was ridiculously hungry and the food is pretty ridiculously good, so whoops. I got my usual takeout Chinese of sweet and sour chicken and it was nice without being too crispy and the rice was nice and fluffy without being overly sticky. I enjoyed my wonton soup and the broth had the right amount of salt. My boyfriend got general tso, and the sauce was different for me, but very delicious. I haven't had Chinese food in quite some time, because so many of the places in town are inconsistent at best. I was thinking of going again to some of these restaurants since I've been reviewing more often recently... but I saw a few reviews for this new restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. And I must say I'm very impressed. So impressed I'm not sure if I'll bother giving any of the other spots another shot. I ordered the General Tso's Lunch Special with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll wasn't overly greasy and the veggies inside were still crispy. The Tso's was battered well, with the sauce being a bit more on the sweet rather than spicy side. The pork fried rice was solid as well. The portions for the price are a really good deal as well. I look forward to coming again and trying some of my other favorites soon. It's honestly more like a 4 and a half for me at the moment, but am anticipating it'll solidify into a true 5 stars upon future visits. read more

I've been a long time Red Pepper fan, and still am. Tried out Lee's as my niece is in town and wanted crab rangoon, which RP doesn't have. Wow we were not disappointed. As others have noted, if the crab rangoon isn't hand made then it sure fooled me. Best I've had in a long time, and a great price. I also had the house lo mein, very good as well. They do have a full menu, and if I hadn't already ordered Aimee's General Tso's chicken from RP I would have tried it from Lee's; as it's nearly 40% cheaper. Children should not be working as servers ! Unless they are properly trained in manners. Went to have dinner there a few days ago could not believe how 2 young children boy and girl waiting on tables the boy very polite and quiet the girl who was even younger . Never once smiled said a single word tossed the menus on the table.no hello nothing. We said thank you at least 6 times and totally ignored us and never responded . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the same child worked the phones using the very loud speaker phone had every phone order blasting throughout the restaurant no consideration for anyone while the parents are working in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't mind spending $60 on good food and good service but this is shameful. Get it together the Lee family should not be so blind not to understand what's going on in the Family owned eatery to treat customers as a money grab and show no respect to the people who spend their hard earned money. Best kept Chinese secret in WNY. Peking One tends to get a lot of credit but in my personal opinion and another individual I know, this place takes the cake. Their dumplings were absolutely fabulous. And the General Tso had just the right amount of heat. Not to mention they make their own duck sauce and it shows.
