We bought dinner which included 2 orders of Sweet and Sour Chicken. It was a Togo order. When we got home we discovered one of the orders was as hard as a hockey puck! We called told us to bring it back next day. When confronted with the rock hard food they told us that's how it served, which we knew was not right because the other order was soft. They wanted to remake the order and at that point all we wanted was our money refunded, for both orders! When they finally agreed they told us to leave and never come back! For a "franchise" business they should try better!!! read more

Stopped in at Golden Wok today for lunch, mostly because it is close to my apartment. I really didn't expect much based on other reviews but thought I would give it a shot. To start, as soon as you walk in the door you realize this business lacks in professionalism - at this point I should have walked out the door and gone somewhere else. There were crayons, coloring books, markers, and toys all over one of the three tables available. Even if this "mess" wasn't there the restaurant isn't very clean. I ordered the General Tso's lunch special and it was some of the worst I ever ate. No spice at all and the sauce was a gooey mess. Honestly it tasted like an oily BBQ sauce. The fried rice was bland and stale. Tasted like it had been made before (maybe the day before) and then reheated, and not reheated well - about half of it was cold. It should go without saying, but I will not be returning here again. There are better options just a short distance away. read more

Food ok but they need to change the oil more often as the fried foods had that weird flavor when the oil gets too old. Also, shrimp toast was not edible at all. Burnt (black) and surprised they even served it to me (take out) but did not see it until I got home. Soups decent, food overall average. Completely empty restraunt. First warning sign. Drink selection was rootbeer, ginger ale, sunkist peach or water. Second warning sign. Order was slow and incorrect. Everything chicken based tasted off. 3 out of 4 people had serious...digestive issues... following the experiance. Tried this out last night their prices are lower than a lot of surrounding Chinese places so I bumped them a star other than that you get what you pay for. It's better than New china Express in union deposit. For a few more $ why not have Hong Kong Ruby or Hong Kong city which are much better options. read more

Food was definitely cooked in old grease. Yuck! Called in order and quoted 20 minutes. in that twenty minutes i got two phone calls asking me to come pick it up even though my husband was already on his way there. I leave to pick it up as the counter lady insisted i must come right now. I get there and was told it was picked up several minutes ago. Cute little family business in a strip mall on Colonial. The food is good for Chinese take out and the prices are really good. Never had any problems with them. they are very friendly and kind, they service is good too. They are next to a Jiu jitsu place, so after a work out, I go pick up dinner there on the way home. All in all, if ur looking for fast cheap chinese food, i would recommend. read more

I stopped by here because it was close to my destination. Although it was quick to get the food, it seemed to be missing something. I can't put my finger on it but i had to add things at home. Although they have a dining area, doesn't look like anyone really uses it. There were no customers sitting inside when I visited. Place is okay overall but food quality could be better. Ordered 3 meals for delivery last night. The meals were average. Nothing special. The shrimp egg rolls are always my favorite from any Chinese restaurant. We ordered 6 extra shrimp egg rolls because we all like them. When the food arrived we had a total of 8 shrimp egg rolls in one bag...2 came with the combos..and 6 extra ordered. We all ate one and had the same result...absolutely disgusting!!! I cannot believe how awful they were! The egg rolls were mushy on the inside....greasy...smelly...probably from old oil.....there was very little filling. I don't know if they had them laying around and reheated them in old oil....but I can assure you they have ruined my love for shrimp egg rolls...I'm not sure if I'll be able to eat egg rolls ever again!!!
