This restaurant is a jewel. No, it's not fancy, but the food is terrific. Even my exchange student -- not an adventurous eater and definitely not one for vegetables -- loved everything he ordered, from spring rolls and potstickers to honey chicken. His friend ordered General Tso Chicken, and I ordered Szechuan Beef. We were 100% content. Also, the prices are good and the service is excellent. My family doesn't like any of the Chinese restaurants around town, but our friend recommended this place and they were SO RIGHT. This place is new and I love it. It may become a regular stop. The resturant itself is clean and nice. The waitress seems genuinely happy when you like the food. The boyfriend and I had general tsoas and the happy family. The general tsoas was amazing. There was a little something extra in the sauce. I couldn't quite place it, but it was amazing. The happy family was a pretty standard sauce but the ingredients were top notch. The shrimp was huge and oh my goodness I could eat the bbq pork all day. We had soup to start, the egg drop. It had great and simple flavor to it. The soup was very thick. I prefer thick soup so I loved it but it was a little too thick for the boyfriend. Their egg roll was so good. It had to be rolled right there in the resturant. Oh, they also gave you a small bowl of fried wontons before the food came out. Those were really good and a nice touch. The portions were huge to boot. I typically don't have a lot to take home, but this time I had another meal to take home with me. My favorite Chinese Restaurant in the Tri-cities. The price is very reasonable and the food is always fresh with healthy portions. My boyfriend and I usually will each order a combo dinner each then share each other's main dish and we still have enough to take home for lunch the next day. My favorites are the egg flower soup. They serve fried wonton crumbles like crackers for the soups which is nice. Coconut Shrimp, sweet and sour pork, almond chicken, boneless spare ribs, I could go on and on. We go often and have tried many things and have always been happy. The owner/waitress is always so friendly and she goes out of her way to make sure you're satisfied. We went here on a trip to the Tri Cities based on the high reviews, and wondered how they could have received higher than a 3. We all started with the egg flower soup, and it literally had no flavor. Only after adding salt and soy sauce did it have any taste. My 9yr old daughter leaned over and whispered in my ear, "dad, this is the worst egg drop soup I've ever had" and she was right. It tasted like water! As it was about an hour before closing time, I figured that they were trying to stretch the soup they had left. Our food came (mine first, then the others ten minutes later). I got almond chicken breast, expecting a breaded chicken breast filet and not doughy deep fried chicken chunks. I guess my fault for assuming they make it like everyone else. We also ordered katsu chicken, which was alright, and sesame chicken. It was surprisingly very garlicky, but actually pretty good. All in all, the food was OK, but definitely not 5-star. The level of service and cleanliness brings up the rating some, but we left feeling that the food was tastier and a better value over at Panda Express. read more

My chef husband is very happy with the Cantonese style food here. The Coconut Shrimp is really wonderful! The sauces are authentic & so are the dishes. The entrees were done really well. The fried rice was moist and you could tell was made fresh. We've ordered from here several times and it has been good each time. The service was great and the delivery was on time but the food was just awful. I had sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. The fried rice was a weird consistency and had a flavor that I couldn't identify. It was unlike any fried rice I've ever had, and NOT in a good way. The sweet and sour was nothing but doughy breading and again it had a weird consistency and flavor. My boyfriend had General Tso's chicken and he experienced the same thing. It just tasted off. We both were sick and uncomfortable for hour afterwards. And we actually threw it all out rather than save it for left overs because it was THAT bad. Our combo dinners, on a Sunday, were about $10. My Egg Drop Soup was unusually savory and meaty. Husband said his Hot & Sour Soup was the best and most sour he had ever had. Our dinners came with Chicken Fried Rice that had a great roast chicken and herb flavor- very enjoyable. My stir-fried Chicken & Vegetables featured tender white meat and veggies done just right. The sauce had a gloppy consistency, and too much sodium for my taste- something the chef could easily tweak. Husband's Beef & Broccoli featured al dente broccoli, so he was very happy! read more
