Supposedly their heater has been broken since we came to sign up 2 weeks ago or more and still not fixed. They do not provide towels. I totally forgot to bring one and it's $26 for a flimsy $7 worth towel. That was a huge bummer for me considering it was our very first time. I don't recommend for continuous swim classes. okay for drop by class if they would fix the heater (it's January and in the 30s and you bring your towel every time.

I was charged for two months of classes, but my son only received two classes. There were also several occasions when the facility canceled classes, which made it difficult for us to receive the services we had paid for. One experience was especially frustrating. When we arrived for my son's class, we checked in with the staff, and they knew we were there. The facility is very small, so it was clear that we were waiting for his lesson. However, no one made sure that my son was called for his class. After waiting, I eventually went to the front desk and asked why my son had not been called. I was then told that he had missed his class and that I needed to reschedule it for another day. This was extremely frustrating because we had been there the entire time, and the staff knew we were waiting. Considering that my son only received two classes despite being charged for two months, I requested a refund for the services he did not receive. Unfortunately, I was not given a refund. Overall, I was very disappointed with the organization, communication, customer service, and the way my refund request was handled. I am sharing my experience so other parents can be aware of what happened and make an informed decision before enrolling their children.

When we visited with our family only the outdoor pool and small water park was open. On a hot summer day it was certainly worth the trip and the value given the price (it's public) seems like it's hard to beat. We paid a little over $20 for a Father's Day special (two kids tickets plus mom). Note: under 2 is free but 2 and under must wear swim diapers even if they are potty trained. The water park is fairly small and we felt like we got our fill in just a little over an hour of time. The life guards are nice, but as others have mentioned, strict. Not just the "no running" type of strict but the no going face first on a baby slide type of strict. It's a pretty paternalistic approach when you consider that every hour they take a 10 min "get some water and reapply sunscreen" break. Isn't this what parents are supposed to do with their kids? I'll also note that no outside food or beverage is allowed and this is enforced The little lazy river is fun and fast moving. They have two big slides if you have kids that are 48 " inches tall at least. The aqua tots section doesn't have much but it's fun. It was crowded when we were there so it took about 10-15 min to enter and the big slides also had some lines, but nothing crazy They also have a small concession stand and lockers for just $.25 which is nice. Again, overall, given the price it's a pretty good deal for cooling off with your fam but if you live far away, not sure it's worth making the trip all that often.

They need this extra earnings coming to stay in business." New class Supposed to be signature membership, now saying big increase $$$ in classes. Starts in May! Signature for a trial period than $$$. GTX format with a new name! Basically, Someone yelling at you on a pilates machine with music. Still better than competition, but you are really paying for it and soon it will just like them. SPIN is the only real core cardio that all ages can do and they cancel it. Poor quality "healthy food" cheese wiz on stale chips. 5 day old broiled chicken on premade salad from days before. Food $$$ & no outside food or drink allowed. Shakes taste a 5 on a scale of 1-10. After taste that keeps you from finishing the whole shake. Each shake $11- $15 Staff is nice, but limited in helping you. Price is set. Memberships very complicated. There really is no "you can go to any gym if you work aboard." each gym has specific benefits. If it doesn't match up boom not allowed. For example: NY has 14 gyms that do not allow you to go. Period! Membership offers a "all gyms" with hike up in $$$. So you pay extra for nothing. Look on line and it shows you how few gyms are interchangeable. Hot tubs need updating. Water is low so it hits you below chest with only 3 jets in the entire tub aimed at your back. Just like a motel would have.

The upside for the owner and shop is that it appears they have so many customers they have zero obligation or motivation to care or fulfill promises. -- I spoke with the owner, Randy Wright, about six advanced courses I planned to complete. Randy said he was just on a call with the Director of SSI Training, who Randy would call back. Randy stated he would get answers to my questions and "call me right back." Five days and counting, no call back. -- Online, a week in advance, I scheduled and paid for an Advanced Wreck course. The day prior to the course I called to inquire if it was only going to be classroom of if we would be in the pool as well. The employee informed me that no instructor was available and the class would not be held. No one was planning to call and warn me before my one-hour drive to the shop and there was no offer of a refund! -- I've experienced the same lack of service is at both the Memphis and Marietta shops -- which seems to reflect the experience I had with the owner. If I blew off clients and did not keep promises, I wouldn't have a business left. So good on The Dive Shop for creating a model where me as a customer is undeserving of promised service. The only one professional in the shop is Lisa Collins so if you have to go to The Dive Shop, see her.
