I seriously have no idea what that other review is about but I've been to goldmine with my biracial son and some of my African American friends and we were all treated well every time. I haven't taken notice of decor because we were there with a purpose and interior design wasn't it. I love that they are family owned and a smaller operation. Everyone I've met is really nice and informative unlike a lot of other places that are out for a buck they will tell you if there isn't a need for something. I was going to replace tires that didn't need replacing and they were up front with me which is very respectable. The guys working on the cars are knowledgeable and kind as well. No question is too stupid for them and I assure you I have many haha. They sell great quality used tires but will also patch or plug if possible so you can save, they offer balancing etc too. Depending on when you go you may have to wait but it's well worth it. The only downside is that for my car sometimes they don't have a used tire for it but at the time I called other places and they didn't either..not their fault. I have used Goldmine Tires a couple times and every time I go to them, I leave satisfied. The guys are friendly and very patient with me if I don't understand what's going on with my tires.
