I read about this shop on Yelp and told myself when I needed to get tires or tire repair that I'd come. Today is that day. I went to the dealership yesterday because my tire pressure was low on my left rear tire. After an hour, they came back and said I had a slow leak due to a nail and they could only REPLACE it for $507. I said no thanks and walked right out. (My car is 60 days old w/ brand new tires soooo no). Fast forward to this morning at 9:30 am. I drive up to Smyrna Tire, park, jump out and tell them what I was told. They said they'd check pressure on all and see if they can patch the hole. Great! Welp. They actually found 1 nail in my left rear and 2 nails in my right rear tire. (Either I have enemies or I need to watch how I drive cause sheesh). On top of being thankful, I'm impressed and grateful. Had I bought the replacement tire, I would've had to turn around and buy another one days later PLUS I'm hella disappointed that after sitting on their lift for an hour and doing the extra ridiculous soapy test, BMW couldn't see that I had multiple nails across both tires. Anywho. In case you're still thinking of going somewhere else for any of your tire issues. Don't. I've found my forever shop and I'm positive I won't need to go anywhere else. Smyrna Tire Service has been rocking it in Smyrna for many years and is a well known, reliable, affordable and honest shop in the area. It sits directly on South Cobb Drive at the Powder Street intersection...and for reference it sits equidistant to both Windy Hill and Spring/Concord Roads. If you are looking for a fancy, newly constructed/updated shop with 10-15 bays, a large waiting room with TV's and complimentary coffee...this ain't the place for you! Smyrna Tire is a no frills, local shop that you can take or leave. The do have a tiny lobby with a chair or two if you like to wait inside or they have a few benches under the awning and recently set up a tent with a few more chairs. I usually get most of my vehicle work completed at CarMax or a nearby Oil/Lube Express location, but recently reached out to these guys about a tire repair as I had a slow leak and was tired of putting air in it every few days. The staff on the phone was honest in wait times and let me know they could diagnose properly when I arrived and we could go from there. I arrived shortly after and went to the desk for assistance, the gentleman here told me the wait time again and got me processed. They quoted 2 hours, but I was out in about 1.5...so I was happy! Turns out I had a nail in the tire and for $25 they removed and patched it! Overall, happy to my experience and the work they did for me. They were upfront with wait times and process, then did what they could upon arrival. They thanked me for the business, made sure I knew I was now in the system and let me know to come back if I have any issues. Solid spot that I would visit again when the need arises. read more

Watching them work you can tell there is a culture present that expects EVERYONE to be on board with quality of work done efficiently with a customer first mentality. What's taken me so long to write this review! These guys are just amazing. I've been coming here for at least 5 years and every time I'm more satisfied than the last! Everyone is friendly, professional and super great at their job. I moved to the east side of the city but I still go out of my way to come here. I don't know how they do it, but you'll pull up to the shop, see 5 cars ahead of you and still get out quickly with everything done just right. Basically, they don't seem to like it when you ask relevant questions before purchasing 4 new tires. If so, your once-friendly contact will become unavailable and calls will not be returned. All that assuming you didn't mind driving up a very short driveway with a pitch of about 10/12 's (as it appeared to be), to get to their "rustic" store-front from the side-street entrance. Very, very scary. So scary that, not being a professional driver, I did not even attempt it for fear of rolling backwards and crashing my non high-performance car into the pavement below. As to the "waiting room," it is very small and very narrow with just a few chairs, and what you immediately walk into when you open the front door. When chairs run out, you have to stand up or step outside and wait for service to be completed no matter what is being done. Not for everyone's comfort level to be sure. This is my first review but I had such a good experience, I wanted everyone to know. As a woman, I hate going to dealerships and auto shops because they think they can take advantage due to my gender. I was at the dealership because my car was making a loud sound and I had to get a part replaced but they quoted me over $400 AND the entire process took 3 hours. I declined service at the dealership and went home and called 2-3 places based on Yelp reviews--Smyrna Tire Service being one of them. I spoke to Jason on the phone who quoted me under $300 and he knew exactly what he was talking about. They were able to take my car that day, and they called me back in less than 2 hours for pick up. It was the least frustrating experience I had. I worked with Bobby--he was nice, got right to the point, confirmed the issue with my car, and didn't try to tell me I had other problems to fix. The prices were solid, the service was quick, and I would definitely go back if any other problem arose. My car is running smoothly now and I'll update the review if anything else happens otherwise. Very friendly, courteous and professional! Highly recommend as they are caring and trustworthy. Would recommend to anyone as they do what needs to be done without you feeling taking advantage of our overcharged. My husband took our car up to remove a screw that was on our tire and within an hour they had it out and since there was no damage done (miracle it seems as the screw was so long!) they didn't even charge us a service charge and that was just so nice of them. They are a small, local company that does tire and brake service. They probably do other car services too, but those are the main services I saw. This place is a no-frills, get-it-done shop. You come in, ask them what you want, they do it, you pay and leave. I came in to replace 2 tires and get a wheel alignment. They told me it will take 1.5 hours. They immediately took my car and started working on it. It was done a bit sooner. The people are friendly, and they seem to have a lot of repeat customers. Their prices look competitive and seem like they do a good job on their services. The place is hard to get in though if you're going north on South Cobb Drive. If you're going north on South Cobb Dr, I would just turn left onto Powder Springs St and drive up their hill. My only complaint is that their bathroom looks and smells dirty. But what do you expect? This is a place where they change your tires, not a day spa. They also get a few bonus points for the free WiFi. read more

SHOP LOCAL! As all the reviews attest, these guys are great. The shop looks like a hole in the wall but don't let that worry you. Call 'em with your best quote from Costco, they can usually beat it and get you rolling in an hour or so where Costco will take all day. I recently had an issue with a tire slowly losing air pressure. I thought i must have picked up a nail. They determined I had a cracked rim. They can't fix those but gave me recommendations on where to have it fixed nearby. They're honest and won't give you the "well Miss, this is how a car works" attitude. Try 'em. Professional, efficient, and friendly. I had to purchase tires in December, and after shopping around went with Smyrna tire. Prices were competitive and I appreciated that they gave me the 'all in' price when others didn't. The guys in the shop seem to enjoy what they do and do it well. I've been to other places where they speak differently to me because I'm a female, not here. Today I went in with a flat thanks to excessive potholes- unfortunately it was split by rim so I needed a new one. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I was able to work during the brief wait thanks to the free internet. I will return. Update November 2015- Once again, great fair service. My new car got a flat, and before replacing it, suggested I contact the dealer to see if they would do anything before purchasing an expensive tire. I jst got back from using Smyrna Tire Service for the first time and I immediately wanted to write a review. I brought my vehicle in for some vibration in the front tires. They easily isolated the issue and provided an affordable solution. Unfortunately, my issue requires work from another type of shop however they went out of their way to improve it as much as possible and then provide a recommendation for somewhere they trust.
