I never used the facility even once, which they can verify through their own check-in records. Despite that, I later discovered they had been charging me monthly for several months. When I contacted them about it, they refused to issue a refund and claimed I had "checked the wrong box" and agreed to recurring billing. This is not a case of miscommunication between staff--the owner personally handled my signup and knows exactly what we discussed. It's incredibly disappointing to be treated this way, especially by a small local business. There are plenty of other gyms in town. I recommend looking elsewhere.

I've been a member for around 3 years and for the monthly fee they charge i think they're a great deal, you'll pay considerably more at Snap! Fitness. I've never joined AP's classes so I cant commnet on them, but otherwise this is a very clean & well maintained gym. Though not as big or equipped with quite as much gear as the the larger gyms like 24 hour or Ballys, there is ample cardio and weight lifting machines and free weights to get you through any type of workout. I go every day and do both weights and cardio so I'm well familiar with this gyms offerings. Also nice is that members can use the gym 24/7 with a pass card they give. Nice to be able to workout at 4am if you so desire, or any other time. It allows you to workout on your own schedule, a big help to me.

I enjoy swimming and Cascade has the best pool in the area so participation here is a matter of limited selection. My problem is the lack of policy/signs/refereeing something that keeps inconsiderate lane swimmers in line. Cascade has no posted policy or signs that direct how people should behave when there are others waiting for a lane. Since there are numerous older adults that seem to have developed blindness because they don't 'see' people waiting nor do they ask anyone. Instead, they see someone getting out of the pool and head directly to the lane that just opened up simply not caring that others are waiting. Most people seem to want to avoid conflict so nothing gets said empowering those who are already feel privileged enough to just jump in. Then there's me. I will say something and I might not be nice about it because your rudeness put you in my path. So, lane cutters if you can't turn to those waiting and ask then expect to get called out or for me to jump in 'your' lane. I simply won't stand for your rude behavior or whatever excuse you have for being like you are. As for Cascade - this on you. You have no policy, no guidance and no monitoring leaving us adults to police themselves. Fortunately, most do an exceptional job of policing themselves and have decency and courtesy. However, there are some that don't possess decency and probably have limited self-control when confronted about their behavior that could lead to an altercation between parties. If this were to happen to me you can bet that I would seeing you in court... And, while you are pondering this matter please scrub the pool! It's filthy. The walls and floor of the pool are coated in brown slime that cause slip when trying to push off. P.S. this also applies to those that are in a lane and invite someone that just shows up to join them instead of the next person in line as it should be. Elite Level Training Center in the North Vancouver Washington Area…read more I had the pleasure of stopping in for a drop-in WOD at this highly recommended Crossfit Box. I was in the Vancouver area for business and had just finished up a customer visit in the Kalama area. I needed a good workout and wanted to get an early workout in as my body was suffering from a long drive from Albany OR to Kalama WA. I picked the right place as it was not too far off from the highway and they had early classes. I was greeted warmly by the staff and had the Owner/Coach Brittany Sarkela coaching the WOD that afternoon. This Box has state of the art equipment, and tons of barbells, kettlebells, assault bikes and other necessary Crossfit equipment. This was one tough WOD that day and I trudged my way through it. The Coach was kind enough to invite me to lift after class but I was already curled up in a big sweaty ball on the mats trying to catch my breath, so I politely declined lol. They have a thriving Crossfit community in Vancouver and its places like Crossfit Untamed that make this happen. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you drop into this box. Need more incentive? Not only will the members challenge you to keep up, but there is also a Craft Brewery and food trucks right next door to Crossfit Untamed.

I'm not really sure where to begin regarding my experience with this location and the front desk…read morereceptionist. I am extremely active and have been working out regularly my entire life. I currently belong to orange theory and in the last I have done CrossFit, yoga, kickboxing, HIIT, TRX classes and more. I used to belong to barre3 in Salmon Creek as well. I'm not new to fitness world and am very familiarized with how it works. I have a 6 month old baby at home and am able to run out the door for a workout class a few times a week when my husband gets home. Today, I was looking forward to trying Pure Barre as the location is close to our house and I anticipated enjoying it enough to exclusively sign up with them. I walked in at 5:25pm, immediately the energy coming from the front desk receptionist (didn't catch her name but she was an Asian woman) was super snarky and pretentious. She was very unprofessional, unwelcoming and rude. She immediately started pressing in to me that I was late. Even though class didn't start for another 5 minutes. Excuse me? What? Apparently if I am not 10 minutes EARLY then I am .... Late. In all of my 32 years on this planet, never have I heard of being late if you aren't 10 minutes EARLY. I'm still scratching my head on that one. She starts going on about a late fee and telling me she knows nothing about me and my history or if I have injuries. Again, what?! I don't have injuries that are current or could be considered problematic and If I did, I would have informed you far in advance before deciding to show up to class. She then told me that I could not join class if I don't have special "sticky" socks. So I am new to Pure Barre but have taken two other types of Barre classes in the past and have never been required to purchase a special kind of sock. Even still, that's fine. All good and fine, that's the issue. The issue was her tone, her attitude, her delivery. I have never felt so unwanted at a place in my entire life. I'm still just sitting her in shock about the way I was treated . I run two very successful business' and not in a million years would I make a client feel the way that this woman has made me feel. I would never speak to someone in such a disrespectful manner and I certainly wouldn't start threatening someone with late fees when they are 5 minutes early versus 10. I was in such utter disbelief that I could hardly explain to this woman that all of this felt very cold and unwelcoming. I had no problem buying the sticky socks but she could have kindly expressed that this type of barre requires them. To whoever owns this franchise, I would HIGHLY encourage you to look in to the staff running your office. You just lost a potential long term member because of your receptionist and her lack of professionalism. Anyone looking to find a new studio or regimen, do yourself a a favor and go anywhere but here! I can vouch personally for orange theory fitness, the TRX Results gym across the street, Barre3, Burntown Fitness on 192nd is fabulous. Seriously, anywhere but here.

I've been a member of three Orange Theories as I've moved to different states in the last few…read moreyears. Love the workout, always felt like I was a community member, not just a customer. Until I had to leave due to a health issue, and couldn't work out anymore. This was very difficult as a lifelong fitness buff. I informed Hazel Dell Orange Theory that I'd need to cancel my membership starting in October, and they charged me $161 anyway, even though I would not be able to use the membership. The guy at the front desk was cold and matter-of-fact stating a policy instead of being gracious. I understand policies are important guidelines. But sometimes the human being involved is more important. Having to stop working out was hard enough - seeing a $161 charge when I told them I couldn't use it, was salt in the wound. If you're going to sign up at an Orange Theory, know that other locations will care more about you, and you can work out at any location. So sign up somewhere else instead of Hazel Dell.
