This is the first time I've had an issue with an Anytime Fitness location. I was texted today by…read morethe owner, Mitch. I was told that "I frequent this location instead of my home base (Esther short). With that I'm eligible to transfer to Ridgefield but this location doesn't partner with my insurance paid program", which I'm well aware of and that's why I'm signed up through Esther short. And that unless I become a Ridgefield Anytime Fitness member that my key fob will no longer work at this location. I was told I can pay the full price to be a member at this location which overall was a shock doesn't seem worth it as it has way less equipment and platforms than other AF locations. I was told over the phone from a "business standpoint" it doesn't make sense to have someone frequent this gym that is paying less through a program and that their business only sees 50% of the fee from that member due to these programs. If you wish to not use these programs at your location that's fine. But maybe don't become apart of a national chain that a lot of these locations benefit from programs like these. My brother also uses the same program and is signed up through Esther short and currently lives in North Dakota but has never been contacted by the AF that he frequents about "transferring locations" I signed up with AF so I can use any location nationally. With work and travel that is one of the big appeals of AF. I called Esther short and informed them of what I was told and they were shocked and said that this is not okay. Overall in my eyes this owner is scum trying to take advantage of being the only gym in Ridgefield. And even if there was any sort of resolution to this situation I don't want to frequent a gym under this sort of management.

However, if you're looking for professional instructor led classes and a family of members to help hold you accountable to your fitness goals THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. The owner Scott is the real deal and takes great care in providing the best atmosphere for his members. This IS NOT CROSSFIT! We all have different goals, we're all starting from a different spot. This is a place you can come and not be judged, and become part of a family who are there for you to cheer you on during your wins and help you up when you stumble. You'll work hard, you'll sweat, you'll curse the instructors while you do laps and burpees, but if you stick with it, you'll get the results you're looking for. Started at 215 lbs and am down to 165 over 12 months. My goals are evolving and my approach to fitness is changing, but I can tell you without a doubt I wouldn't be where I am today without Scott and my family here at Results.

Many classes to choose from and times that work with my schedule. There are a variety of body types and ages of women working out, so I feel super comfortable and welcomed. The classes are awesome, they are challenging for a beginner like me, but the trainers are great to give options on moves that still make you feel the workout. I leave each class feeling mentally uplifted and sore as heck, but a good 'I worked hard' sore. 100% recommend.

Until I had to leave due to a health issue, and couldn't work out anymore. This was very difficult as a lifelong fitness buff. I informed Hazel Dell Orange Theory that I'd need to cancel my membership starting in October, and they charged me $161 anyway, even though I would not be able to use the membership. The guy at the front desk was cold and matter-of-fact stating a policy instead of being gracious. I understand policies are important guidelines. But sometimes the human being involved is more important. Having to stop working out was hard enough - seeing a $161 charge when I told them I couldn't use it, was salt in the wound. If you're going to sign up at an Orange Theory, know that other locations will care more about you, and you can work out at any location. So sign up somewhere else instead of Hazel Dell.
