Thankful for a fun and funky downtown brew situation. We just wanted a few cold ones, but there is an entire bottle shop and game room too. No food. Beer and wine only. Service was friendly but not a mask or bottle of hand sanitizer in sight. The whiskey barrel tables and bar stools did seem socially spaced out. The small patio had three tables, also distanced. Nice assortment of canned, bottled and draft beers available. Aloha! They had one selection from Kona Brewery in Hawaii--Big Wave gave me tropical flashbacks. Hubby chose Duck Rabbit Amber Ale. You can bring your furry pets as long as they are on a leash. We did not expect to see a tiny monkey in the place, but we did. Once he spilt a beer, he was banished to a small carrying case. Excellent beer and selection from many small brew companies. IPA's, amber, dark, nitro, seltzers, wines, mimosas and sours... Whatever trips your trigger!! Ambience is Best! Friends, locals and sense of community. Pet and kid friendly, skee ball, pinball, and others muses. This place is great, it's not always about chasing the $$'s, this group really cares and they get to know you and their clientele. Word of mouth travels to 40+ people (+ or -), this can be a good fit for anyone that loves crafted beers, nice people and swag from all around. Bottom line GBW owners and staff care, and really like their jobs!! Passion over dollars!! Dollars are good, it pays to keep the lights on... but repeat business and clientele build and strengthen a Veteran owned brewery. Great place to grab a local beer, they brew a lot of what is available plus have a chilled bottle room. The staff are knowledgeable as to the taste of what is offered. Dont ask for bud light , coors light or other readily available beers. They cater to the smaller breweries and are able to match every offering from the larger breweries. read more

Staff not welcoming nor friendly. We stood in front of the bar for at least 5 mins and still neither of the two bar tenders acknowledged us. We had to ask and motion to get the guys attention for a beer. All the customers at the bar were taken care of and both bar tenders were entertaining them than trying to see what they can get us. My friends and I go to Brew Works about once a week since they have a wide selection of beers on tap, complete with some sours (!) The staff are super friendly, and they have plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Games- giant jenga, corn hole, and shuffle board. read more

Loved this place! Owned and operated by a former military guy (I hear), tons of beers on tap, pet friendly, clean and I got a souvenir glass! We are new to the area and our first experience out was great. Staff was fun to interact with. We went on trivia night and I wasnt even playing and it was a blast. Everyone was super friendly and the building is absolutely beautiful. Exposed brick and the lighting is perfect. I'm going to have to agree with a previous review and compliment the women's bathroom. It is SO important to the ladies to have a bathroom with mints, lotions and other toiletries. Seriously, go here, grab some beer, bring your pooch and chat it up with the locals. This place was awesome. No fuss, all about the beer. I was there with two others and we didn't even come close to sampling the full list. The bar tenders were friendly and knowledgeable. We got video game tokens with our order and that was really fun. We went to another brewery in the are for a while but ended up back at Goldsboro Brew Works to close out our night. Definitely would go again. The only reason we left for a period of time was to get food. You can have food delivered but we weren't sure what we wanted so we left to grab a bite. Really top notch taproom. It really couldn't be put together any better. They have plenty of taps( I forgot to count but more than 12) and a varied selection. The bar area is nice with a cozy feel. A long bar with plenty of room and a number of 4 seater tables. There are also options outside. They also have a cool games room. Also attached is a well stocked bottle shop. read more

The water here was FN accessable. They had a cooler that was very easy access and came in a variety of temperatures sort of speak. Outside of that of the beer was bomb and the selection rotated enough to try new ones very frequently. read more

By far my favorite hang out in all of Goldsboro! The staff has the best personalities and really makes you feel at home and welcome. They always have something new and unique to try so I never get bored and the live music is always super entertaining. I know it sounds silly, but the bathrooms are always VERY clean.
