Labrar was my morning office today. Starting with a "Gibraltar" that is very close to a Cortado, I found a comfortable seat in the corner and powered up laptop and phone. I arrived at 7 and sat here for five hours. Ouch! And despite that, no one seemed to mind. The inside dining area ebbed and flowed but it never got to the point where I felt like I was taking up a table for a "paying" customer. Cozy coffee shop downtown with a variety of options from cold brew to avocado toast. Humble decor, a bit minimalist (especially if you walk over from Cry freedom store) but incredible quality of a latte. Staff were friendly but got confused when one person asked for a to go cup, they made our whole meal and coffees in to go containers even though we had mentioned we were eating there. Felt bad to be that wasteful and I'll try to be clearer next time. $13 for a slice of bread with avocado and egg- but MAN it was good. Will be back to try more pastry options for sure. read more

This is THE best coffee in Goldsboro and the drinks are perfect every time! The servers are friendly and helpful, they never make you feel rushed. The vibe is very cute, quaint, clean, and relaxing! I go here at least once a week. The Celia latte is my fave! But the seasonal salted maple latte is sooo good! They also have phenomenal sandwiches and the pastries are good too! read more

This is one of the best local coffee spots in Goldsboro! My husband and I like to go there every Saturday morning, get coffee/breakfast, and play checkers. The store has lots of seating and is always clean. The baristas are always nice and get the order out quickly! It's a great place to come do work, study, or just to spend time with love ones. I always make it a point to support local. I dislike going to chain coffee shops. We are stationed in Goldsboro currently, and it took me a while to make my rounds to all the local coffee shops. Now that I have I can safely say this spot is my personal favorite. read more

I made a little pit stop here midway through my road trip and was more than pleasantly surprised. Located in a cute little downtown strip, Labrar is a charming, coffee window style café with a couple seats indoors, a table or two out front and a completely separate room attached to the left for meetings or remote workers to set up shop. Their menu is simple including your general espresso, pour over, cold brew, chai, etc. but then there's also a mini seasonal menu which is what I ordered from. I got the cold foam iced espresso cold brew. I wasn't sure what to expect and they way he described it sounded different than any other coffee drink I've had - I wish I could remember their special process. It was amazing! At first sip I was skeptical because I don't like a ton of water or milk variants in my coffee as it distracts from the taste of the coffee itself, but this was the perfect balance and with each sip I fell more in love with it. The guy working the counter was so sweet, patient and informative. I wanted to try a pastry so bad as they are locally made and looked absolutely delicious, but they were priced a little high for my comfort zone so I refrained. They have a small restroom in the back for customers, free wifi, no time limit on parking (from what I saw) and adorable little short stories to enjoy while waiting on your order. Just decided to stop by and check this local cafe out in downtown Goldsboro. Just like all my other reviews I order a common drink to review. This time around its just a cold brew with 4 Splenda. It tasted good, but kinda weak in what I was expecting in strength. 95% of the time I'll pick quality over quantity. This is that time. The quality of the coffee was just a little too weak for me, Starbucks tastes great for a decent price. Going to try it again but a different drink. I give it the four stars because the taste is there, amazing customer service, and because my wife and daughter love it there. read more

Visiting family in Goldsboro for the weekend and saw this little gem on Center Street. Friendly folk and they made me an ahhhmazing iced latte with Tupelo honey. So smooth. Pour over and multiple coffee offerings as well as pastries sourced from bakery in Raleigh (will try next time). Very reasonable prices and points reward system for frequent customers. Not gonna lie, the shop is small with very limited seating (there are also tables outside) but charming decor with exposed brick and lots of plants. Will definitely return next time I'm in town. read more

I went here a few days ago to check it out, and I was very impressed! The store itself is small and simple, but the coffee is some of the best Goldsboro has to offer. My first time in any coffee shop, I always ask the barista what they recommend. She was extremely knowledgeable about not only their menu, but about coffee in general, and after asking me what kind of coffee I liked, she had a suggestion for me - which I ordered. Not only was the coffee delicious, but the barista (I ordered an iced coffee) also put my coffee in a shaker with the ice, so by the time I got it, it was ice cold. That was a nice touch, and made the coffee not only delicious, but it wasn't watered down and I didn't have to wait for it to cool off. Definitely check them out! I will be coming back next time I'm downtown. They're a great addition to Goldsboro! read more

By far my favorite place for coffee in Goldsboro! I'm a coffee lover and am really big on the flavor of the coffee, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall feel/ambiance of the coffee shop environment. Labrar truly excels in all of these categories. I've tried a few different menu items and have loved them all- I especially enjoy their "red letter" option which is a rotating menu selection that gives you an opportunity to try something new. I have gone at different times in the day and every member of the staff is friendly and helpful. They've added a second area for seating which is great if you have a group of people. Another thing that adds to Labrar's uniqueness is the story and poetry contests that they allow their customers to vote on throughout the month. I think that fueling the writing and art community this way is such a great idea and what better place to help support that than a locally owned coffee shop. Love! read more
