But lift the lid just a little and you'll find a remarkable beer retailer with an incredible selection of rare and impossible-to-find bottles. Long story incredibly short... The burger and beer was okay, maybe 3-to-4 stars. But the case of 10+ year old Lindeman's Cuvée and Goudeband for $3/btl on sale?!? Definitely worth the extra stars to make this a 5-star experience. They have a fantastic selection of craft beers, trivia on the TV, and friendly, personable staff and patrons. The food here actually wasn't bad, it was the staff here that bought them the two stars. I got the Chickocado Club which was pretty good, maybe a little more than a standard club so stood out a little. My husband ordered the Wilsonian and he enjoyed that as well. When we went in I originally wanted to get the Tangy Piglet but couldn't order it because they were out of pork. Mind you we stepped in shortly after they opened. We tried to order fries for my daughter but 'the fryer gave up on me last night' so we couldn't get fries or anything fried for that matter. Fine. Here's my bigger issue. When we ordered our sandwiches the guy asked us if we wanted chips or a side salad so I, in turn, assumed that they came with these $12 standard sized sandwiches. They don't. We couldn't for the life of us figure out how two sandwiches cost us $37 but then shortly after realized that when he was asking which option we preferred it wasn't included, it was an add on. What a shady way to run your business. And the prices we paid for the sandwiches alone warranted a side with our order. Then you have to pay for drinks that aren't in to go cups or anything and they're $3 a pop. Food was actually not bad but the untrustworthiness from our visit and lack of menu listed items 100% will not have us going back again. Shame on them. read more

This place is a hit or miss for us. The beer prices have gone up, which I get. The Thrusday pizza and pint deal is always a hit, and I do like the pizza a lot. I've tried most of them and like that they do a featured pizza every week. I especially love the french fries here. However, last time we visited, I ordered a chicken salad wrap, and well, it looked very sad. Hardly any meat and tended towards the watery side. Though we did find out we were just lucky enough to visit on $4 pint January-this was not a regular thing, but with the variety and quality of brews I would pay normal pint prices to grab a drink and hang out. Ehhh, In my opinion it really is not 4.5 stars outside of Wilson except for the style and ambiance of this place very nice but the food was just barely mediocre. The fish and chips was less than, due to the fish was frozen and probably a little too long, to the point it was mushy on the edges. The fried pickles were not terrible, and the cheese fries were under cooked. Seems to be a great place to bring kids. So if you are looking for a family friendly place to take the kids or watch the games or hang out and have drinks till it does not matter what you eat this place is for you.You would figure if you have a place like this you would really want to be a place known for it's food, in a food desert like Wilson. The food was so good! We got the cheese fries to start.. chiefs kiss! My husband and I both got a pizza, both were very good, perfect size. My mother ordered a salad, again so good and perfect size! We had never eaten there before but will definitely be back! The service was so spot on, you order at the bar (this place was pretty busy) the bartender remembered my husband's name. I've only been here for lunch, but this place seems great to be at nighttime. The inside is very open and brings very chill vibes like breweries should. The service is great and the staff is friendly! This place works by ordering your food at the bar and then waiting until your name is called to get the food. If you come for lunch, your order should come within ~5-10 minutes since it's not very packed at that time. I've had a variety of their sandwiches and none of them have yet to disappoint. They're simply delicious. Wanted to try out the new Buffalo Chicken Wrap on the menu with a few modifications. I wanted to switch the grilled buffalo chicken to fried Buffalo chicken tenders and remove the Blue cheese along with the BC Dressing (essentially just fried buff chicken w/ lettuce and tomato). As someone who has worked as a waitress and back of house staff for more than 10 years, I didn't think this would be too much to ask. Evidently this was an accommodation far too big to be met by the "chef." Upon my arrival to pickup, I was told the "chef" wasn't going to swap the chicken. I inquired a little bit; even offered to pay extra even though it's more expensive on their menu for grilled chicken. Still the answer was no without further discussion. I bit the bullet and went on my way with my food. Come to find out there was no Buffalo sauce on my grilled chicken and there was blue cheese in my wrap with little to no lettuce or tomato. This place is awesome. I have been in a few times while here for work and every single time the staff is super cool!! They get some very great beers on tap. Coming from Colorado I was REALLY impressed by this. You can also buy single bottles from the coolers and drink them on site or build a mix pack to-go. The food menu is great. Not huge but the options are all very tasty. The Wilsonian sandwich is super good! The dippers appetizer (flatbread with pesto and cheese) is solid as well. After seeing the billboard on I-95 for the last year, we finally had the time to stop today for lunch on our way home to S.C. I can only say that I'm sorry we didn't go sooner! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about all of the brews, the food is fantastic, the price is unbelievable for all that you get. We were able to taste a few brews that were new to us and even tried some suggested ones that we needed up liking. I had the Reuben sandwich with a side salad, delicious and generous serving of both; husband ordered the Ms. Kim hoagie with onion rings (which were super crispy, just perfect).
