My husband took my original engagement ring, which we purchased in Brooklyn from a designer out of New Zealand & replaced the sapphire that fell out of the ring, with a beautifully set diamond. Goldstein's set the diamond, in my opinion, better than the original designer. Also, the ring & band are both white gold & even upon receiving the rings new, they always had a slight yellow tent. Goldstein's magically cleaned the engagement ring & if sparkles like never before. As you can see in the photo, I'll be dropping by Goldstein's as soon as I can to have them clean my band so it matches the engagement ring. I'm excited to talk to one of their designers. I went into Goldstein's browsing rings. I had my 7 month old and 4 year old with me. They treated my family like we were the most important customers in the world. Each employee spoke to both of my children and made us feel so comfortable. They even showed my son a special play area to distract him while I shopped!! (Genius to have a playroom by the way!) phenomenal service. I haven't even purchased anything yet, but will choose Goldstein's over any other when the time comes! read more

We just went to Goldstein's for the first time today. It was one of the best customer service experiences we have had in a long time in this city. Every staff member was very accommodating and helpful. The selection of Pandora charms were excellent and priced fairly. They treated our little girl like a princess and were very patient while we looked through the store. We ultimately purchased a charm. We will go to Goldstein's first for now on for all of our jewelry needs. They even had wonderful little music boxes for children. I have never been treated so badly and humiliated like i was at Goldstein's! If only I knew my experience with them later will be so emotionally and mentally traumatizing, I'd have never stepped foot in that store. I had insisted I'd rather patronize a local business rather than purchase online contrary to what my boyfriend wanted. In the store, I chose a ring that was in the showcase. It wasn't my size so I was told they'd make one in my size, also the diamond for the ring was not kept in the store so i had to wait for over a month for it to come in store. Unfortunately my wedding was called off and so I decided to return the rings for a refund 6 days after purchase was made and three days since receiving it from the store. There is a 15 day return policy for a full refund. I was denied a full refund because as the store owner stated; " Its bad for my business" and offered a 50% refund instead, which i refused. I don't understand why I should bargain for a refund I'm entitled to. When I insisted to be treated fairly and given my refund,the store owner Richard Frank Jr, made comments suggesting bias and racism against my color and country of origin.Insinuating I'm ignorant and stupid because I'm a foreigner from another country and had an accent. I have never been treated like this in any other store environment and urge any other potential customers to beware and steer clear of this rude and racist business. I find Goldstein's store profession and ethics to be unsatisfactory and many other reviews will state the same. Today I have formally lodged a complaint with the Mobile commerce department and will be taking Goldstein's operator Frank to court. read more

I apologize for the book that follows. I feel people should be aware of poor customer service. Last year my boyfriend and I were discussing marriage and searching for engagement rings. After I was unable to find one I loved, we went to Michael Ross to have one designed. Michael was exceptional to work with, making the process easy and headache free. Then last December became the happiest month of my life ... The man of my dreams proposed! After excitedly saying "yes", the wedding planning began. Our wedding has come together without disappointment, frustration, or any other negative emotions. That's with the exception of one important aspect ... His ring! He had found a wedding band online he liked. After searching for a similar style in stores, he found it at Goldstein's, with a price near $1000. The ring had to be ordered, so of course they needed to size his finger. The day they sized/ordered it, the sales lady stated "we must order the right size because the ring you have picked out cannot be adjusted." After waiting several weeks for the ring to come in (which is normal), we got the call. He and I went to Goldstein's to pick the ring up. The ring was OBVIOUSLY too tight on his hand, pinching skin all around his finger, making his finger appear fat and the ring ugly. Less than a week later, he took the ring back. The manager of Goldstein's, Angela, told him to keep the ring for a month, wear it at different times of the day to verify the incorrect fit (thinking maybe it was due to hand swelling because of heat). A month later, my fiancé and I took his ring back again. After arguing with us, Angela explaining how she was the professional and she knew best, Goldstein's agreed to take the ring back. After listening to her conversation with a polite saleswoman (Bobby), I overheard her say something that made me believe she was having the ring sized and not re-ordered. Since at the time of initial ordering it was imperative to get the correct size because the ring could not be adjusted, I questioned how the ring could be "sized" and not returned to the manufacturer. She had different explanations after which I was still reluctant. Angela then informed me if either of us were disappointed after the sizing, Goldstein's would send the ring back and get a new one made that fit appropriately to my fiancé's liking. A week later, the ring was ready and my fiancé tried it on, feeling as though the ring was no larger than previously determined. Angela then gets an attitude, and begins to speak to him in a condescending tone, stating we can size it again "a tiny smudge". She repeatedly used that terminology, as if he didn't need it sized. He reminded her she had said if he wasn't happy then Goldstein's would send the ring back to the manufacturer and have a new band made. Her response to him was "I don't remember saying that". So he leaves the ring again, waiting for it to be sized. He liked the band and wanted things to work out so everyone would be satisfied. My fiancé called to inform me of the event that had just happened, telling me "it was almost as if I was being spoken down to." That is horrible customer service. I called Goldstein's and spoke with Angela and asked what happened with his wedding band. She proceeded to inform me that he was outside prior to coming in, it was 95 degrees outside, and his hand was swollen. She agreed to have the ring sized "a tiny smudge" only because the customer wanted it. After listening to her complain, making it all his fault, I asked for a refund. She gave my money back without hesitation. I have never been to a fine jewelry company that had such poor customer service. I gave Goldstein's 1 star because I had to choose at least 1. It wasn't about making the customer happy, it was all about what the "professional" thought was right. After my money was refunded, we went to two other jewelers to have his finger sized. Both jewelers, on different days, sized his finger at a 14. Goldstein's sized it at 13. A whole size difference! We are now back at Michael Ross, happily and easily having my wedding band designed! read more
