The store has everything you might need and not want to go to town for which is super convenient. I love that they carry 4-packs of moose's tooth rootbeer. It's very lowlkey. My favorite thing about it would have to be the woodwork it is an old log cabin. They have gas as well which makes it easier when you are not wanting to trek into Fairbanks. read more

What a nice little general store. Since I've got to the area I've only gone in twice but the two different workers I've met were absolutely wonderful. I very much felt that "Fairbanks is the friendliest " vibe. They have a fun selection of alcohol (okay I don't drink so I don't really know, but sure looks fun to me and pretty decent in size ), they have a good amount of "treats" for humans and doggos. I haven't tried the coffee but the section is always clean. There's gas they have via Tesoro, a little laundromat and restaurant on each side so it looks like a great location. read more

Thieves, inept, people BEWARE. On February 13th in the evening, I walked to this store, my car battery being frozen. I purchased a few items totalling about $50, it all filled up one single shopping bag, no alcohol. I was about to insert my credit card into the front counter device when the woman employee asked me to hand over my credit card to her which she inserted into her handheld device. I never heard how much I owed and was robbed of the opportunity to see the amount on the device in order to approve it. She handled the transaction and I was never shown the amount and never asked to push the 'Approve button'. I was tired, cold from my walk and not alert enough to notice. I put the shopping bag into my backpack and left. The employee remarked on my backpack and I told her I had to walk, so obviously I had not bought any gas, in case she had charged me for somebody else's. Once home, I realized I was never given a receipt either so I jotted down the prices of the items I had bought. A week later, when I received my credit card statement, I realized I had been charged $105.96, twice the amount of my purchases!!! Did the employee charge me twice, did I pay for somebody's gas??? I felt so mad and stupid. I e mailed the owner on February 23th and never even got a reply. These people are thieves or inept, anybody working a cash register should have noticed I could not possibly have spent that much in one single shopping bag (even considering the prices there are high) and again, no purchased alcohol. So I hope you enjoy the money you simply stole from me or that you are happy to employ people who can't count or indeed can and charge people fraudulently! read more

I live in the area and this is my go-to convenience (mostly for beer) store. The nice lady who buys wine, beer, and liquor does an amazing job securing a mixture of interesting and even eclectic selections, and "good buys" (which could be horrific failed-flavored-vodka-marketing-experiments, or "We just shipped WAY too much Yellow Tail to Fairbanks"). My most recent excellent score was a half dozen bottles of Palate Wrecker (a very sturdy Double IPA) at $3.50 each. Therefore: Recommended as a source of what gets you through the winter, or the midnight sun, or both. You will spend much less accomplishing that here than next door at Ivory Jack's. Also, there's gasoline, diesel, AND propane, for when you just don't want to drive into town. read more

Um. I grew up with this as the closest store. It has the basics, a decent place. Just a general store, not to fancy. I dunno. If you want just like milk or something, its great! read more
