I have driven so few miles in the past 2 months. No one has messed with my car. The only thing I can come up with is that it wasn't tightened enough and it somehow worked itself loose over those 200 miles? Thankfully, a nice gentleman was able to rectify the situation. But, I didn't realize I had to check the work of the guy that installed it originally. All this to say - check and make sure your battery is installed properly!

I told him I needed a battery tested, he reluctantly went and got the machine. He seemed almost annoyed that I hadn't already popped the hood. It's a Mercedes, so the battery is actually under the rear seat. He said he wasn't going to go looking for it, I asked him to check via the charging points. He did, quickly said it's bad, and I'm not changing it. Walked back in the store and that was that. The store was very slow and well staffed, so there was no need for him to treat a customer like that. There are plenty of other options in the area, and going forward I'll be going to them instead.

The salesman said it was out of his control, a manager had let the car go because they do not hold cars. So, the car is gone, and no one really cares about my daughter's deal. This dealer is all about the money. For example, in every used car contract they include an Average Investment Reconditioning cost of $1,495 and a Pre-Delivery Service Charge of $1,099. So, there is $1,500 to wash and vacuum the car, and the salesman told me the $1,099 goes in Mr. Gettel's pocket to "help pay expenses." If you would prefer not to deal with a dealer that typifies the "used car dealer," then find someone else to buy a car from. UPDATE: Within two hours my daughter found the same model car with similar mileage and price at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep in Tampa. She asked them if they would sell the car out from under her while she was completing the finance application. They responded, "no that would not be fair, we would never do that." She completed the app, was approved in less than a minute, and the deal was sealed. And, there was no Average Investment Reconditioning or Pre-Delivery Service Charge! How Gettel Hyundai gets good reviews is beyond me.
