The website was a bit 'wonky' and threw errors when I tried to reserve a tee time online. After a quick call to the ProShop it was discovered the tee time did book, and I just couldn't see a website confirmation. The ProShop staff were always cordial and helpful answering questions. The golf carts are fast, there is a slight speed delimiter going downhill. When we got to the 9th hole there was a sign to call in an order and have food ready. Upon arrival to the ProShop, the girl seemed new and did not get our full order, but after a few minutes everything was ready to go. The greens were recently aerated a couple weeks ago so we had some bumpy putts and odd breaks. The roughs were not impossible to hit out of, and the bunkers were full of sand as would be expected. Overall, this place is a high quality public golf course that is well maintained for the amount of volume it receives. On a mid week morning the parking lot near the clubhouse was almost full. The driving range is grass, and not artificial - true practice hitting. In a couple aspects, Waverly is on pace with some private courses, and surpasses some public courses in a few areas. Try it and find out for yourself.

If you have never played here and you wanna try it out one time it's definitely worth it ,but if you want to save a few dollars and play somewhere in the same area that's the same quality go play glade valley 20 min west in fred , or Baltimore county course like pineridge/woodlands . Witnessed a Oakmont Ranger on Fathers Day yelling at a father in front of his little son. What a…read morescene! I'm sure it was a real negative experience for the child. What ever the mix up was about the Oakmont Ranger really showed his butt. I give the father credit I'm not sure I could have stayed so calm. Especially when my child started crying from the Oakmont Ranger yelling. It was real uncomfortable for me can't imagine how the father and son felt. Eventually, the father and son went to the driving range and finished their golf time out there. Mr. Golf Ranger guy there is nothing that could've possibly happened that would've caused you to behave in such a way in a public or private place. It's just Golf people! A father and son on Fathers Day! Shame on you behavior! An adult man, you are suppose to be an example for those little golfers. Oakmont you guys really showed your butts in front of so many golfers. I am really disappointed in your management and staff after witnessing this incident on Sunday, Father Day. You owe that family an apology.
