I was really looking forward to getting fitted by Gott Golf and just got the opportunity (birthday…read morepresent). So, I loaded up my 24-year old clubs and met with Chuck. When I started telling him my background, his first question was "what's your budget." I told him the number I was thinking and he immediately told me that it was not enough money. I was under the impression that a golf fitting could be really beneficial and that even if I didn't buy the clubs from Gott, I could use the insights to buy them at my own pace or in a more economical fashion. Chuck said that they only focus on what they have in their inventory and nothing else. So, there were NO INSIGHTS I could gleam from his expertise, unless I dropped a massive amount of money with Gott. Now, keep in mind, a full bag fitting at Gott Golf is $350 for around 2.5 hours. The vibe I got from Chuck was that I was asking him to work for free or something. Whether or not he meant it to come off that way, he was actively trying to convince me not to do the fitting. I honestly can't remember the last time I felt so disrespected. Don't get me wrong, I understand the business model. But, when you seek out a "professional" or "expert" in any given field, you want the experience to be enjoyable, informational, helpful... Not sure if I was being judged based on my old, beat up clubs or what... But, there was no friendly, meaningful or human conversation upon my arrival. Just "what's your budget?" Unless you want to spend $5,000 on Golf Clubs, Gott Golf does not want your business. In fact, it seems like they don't even want to be helpful for $350 over 2.5 hours... That's $140 an hour. They must be making bank off these custom golf club fittings if $140/hour is so insignificant to them. How would I describe the experience? Out of touch. Snooty. Deflating.

Went in to get it fixed, they kept it for nearly 3 weeks and could not get it fixed. Rob referred me to another shop, which of course I have to pay for to get his mistake fixed, so I asked to refund the $25. He threw a fit, gave me the money and said some sarcastic comments under his breath, e.g "next time don't rack the slide from the optic" which I told him I never did or do. So now I have a slide with a screw in it, have to pay to get it fixed (hopefully). And left with a bunch of unnecessary attitude. Every time id call to check on my slide, I would receive some attitude from Rob, the gunsmith. His work is questionable, and his attitude, inexcusable.

I spoke with a very kind and exceedingly helpful young man named Ryan. Trust me. He went above and beyond to help me and I put him through the wringer with a ton of questions, hesitations, and more questions. Even if I sent him an email on a weekend, he responded quickly. His knowledge of their products and patience were unlike any I have seen in a very, very long time. In fact, I would go so far as to say he restored my faith in customer service and attentiveness. Then, today, two young men pulled up in my driveway after a drive of nearly 5 hours. In around 30 minutes, they had my treadmill set up and ready to use. They were courteous and hard-working. This may sound silly to some, but I even noticed how straight they installed the floor mat and the treadmill in my office. I'm very much a person that likes to have things neat and orderly and I could not have done it better myself. So today, I have the privilege and the pleasure of reading my owners manual and finally having a treadmill in my home with which to improve my health and well-being. No more dreading the gym because of how many people will be judging me for my size and lack of physical fitness. No more embarrassment. I can focus on what matters most. My health. For some reason yelp has me as living in California, when I actually live here in Colorado. I…read morebought a Tuff Stuff bench from Fitness Gallery here in Colorado some time ago. It was a flat bench with an upper and lower pulley ~~ pretty simple. These units are sold with a "lifetime warranty," which is a main reason to buy one. About four years ago I had a pulley cable break. I tried calling and e-mailing Tuff Stuff, which is headquartered in Chino, CA. No answer either way. Fitness Gallery was sympathetic but it was a "manufacturer's issue." I bit the bullet and had Fitness Gallery repair it. This cost me around $150. Last month the cable started fraying again. FG sent out another repair guy to replace the cable. This time it was $318. So I'm into this for around $500 ~~ just for cable repairs. Keep this cost in mind when you are looking at buying any Tuff Stuff equipment from Fitness Gallery. The "lifetime warranty" isn't lifetime, and the Tuff Stuff isn't tuff. Buyer beware. * The max load I put on these cables is 180 lbs for back rows.
