As a new, young golfer, I came here to see things in person and figured I would receive guidance....WRONG. First, entering the store I wasn't greeted. As a person who worked many years in retail customer service, this is what drives some people to not make a sale (especially knowing things are commission based). After I browsed the medium sized sneaker section, I made my way over to the clubs. As there were no other customers in the store no employee even looked my way. As three were in the front and one was at the back counter on his phone I continued to look around all the way up to picking up multiple clubs and feeling them out. As I then walked to the front only to see those clubs were jr and women's I then made my way back to the rear club area. As other customers walked in they were greeted up to the point I observed an employee ask one if they needed help as the male was looking in the accessory area. After seeing this, I took photos of what I would have potentially purchased and made my way to the exit. At that point one of the employees at the front stated "have a nice day". Overall I'm not returning here probably ever unless it's a dire need. I did go to Dicks sports prior but they didn't have anyone working in their golf area at the moment. In 2021, I wrote a scathing review because of Golf Galaxy's horrible customer service, particularly toward women. I recently revisited after avoiding the store for two years, and spoke with a couple of staff members who assured me that the store has made a commitment to improving the customer experience, including replacing problematic staff. I'm pleased to report that my recent visits have been a much better experience. The sales staff was attentive, and the club fitting with Anthony was top-notch. I'm glad to be able to return there as it's the closest and most comprehensive golf equipment shop in the area. read more

If you spend almost $1,400.00 with a company you would expect they could at least respond when the order gets mixed up due to them having a typo. The store doesn't respond and corporate can't help with special orders. I've spent thousand of dollars with them but will be taking my business to the local golf pro shop. Aside from their abysmal selection of lefty clubs the service could not have been more disrespectful. With no irons in the store, there were a total of 4 lefty wedges in the entire store and one 60 degree, all of these were grouped together and were labeled a certain price, when they rung it up they came up and different price and they refused to honor the price shown in store. In St Petersburg, Fl I was measured and ordered a set of clubs on Feb 22 2021. Today is Apr 27 2021 and I still do not have the complete set and have no idea when it will arrive. I have called the salesmen 4 times, he has not corrected my email (which he mistyped) or my mailing address. I called the 800 number 5 times and still have not gotten anything corrected either. It is astonishingly bad customer service. I understand if a club is not available but why take the order if it is not available?? How many calls does it take to correct a mailing address or an email?? Seriously, wtf? You know I will have to call them again and again. read more

So I had a Ping 425 Max Driver put aside to rent for testing. When I called a few day's ago to request this, I was told it was no problem and that for $20. I can take the club home to use at the range for three day's. When I went into the Milford CT location tonight to pick it up, I was told it was put back on the floor and that they only give 48 hours to pick the club up, which I was never told when I first called to have them hold it. The gentleman said no problem, they still have that demo club. But, when I went to take it, they said it couldn't leave the store. I told him I was told I can have it for three days when I called. He said that I can only take the newer version of this driver home. So, I asked the manager why I was told that I could take the Ping 425 max home for three days when I called, he said oh, we changed the rule a fw day's ago, sorry. So I drove over 45mins in traffic to get there, for nothing. Couldn't even make an exception since I was told this wouldn't be a problem over the phone? I will never shop there again, beware if you want to demo a club. read more

Cannot say much about the bad reviews considering i have always had great customer service when there. And the more you spend, the more you get back in rewards which is a great concept. Clothing prices are a little steep but so is all other stores that offer golf attire. Its a one stop shop with ordering custom clubs, wedge/iron/driver fittings, club repair, etc. i recently had (2) club fittings, irons and wedges in which i ordered custom clubs and wedges right after my fitting(s). Chris who did my club fittings is an amazing instructor and highly recommend his services if you are looking for fittings and or instruction. At time of fitting, i was pushing/slicing my shots right and Chris took a brief time out during my fitting to tweak my swing and now i have a whole new swing and i am on target to hit straight with great carry and spin with little to no effort. If you are looking for a precise fitting and or top notch instruction, ask for Chris, he will set you straight. read more

Golf Galaxy stores can have a bit of a crude reputation depending on the particular location across the country, but this one is a winner. A decent-sized space that features all of the major brand equipment and apparel, you can find just about anything you're looking for when it comes to golf. The staff consists of a handful of knowledgable and friendly employees that are happy to help you find what you need or perform a fitting or custom order equipment. And while prices are set by the corporate offices, you can usually score good deals every so often when things go on sale or clearance especially if you know what you're looking for and when to look. All in all a very good location to take care of your golfing needs. read more

Horrible, miserable worse experience. I had a 5:30 appointment for a custom fitting I get there a few minutes to be respectful. There are a couple people in the store looking a clubs but not busy. I check in with the sales associate behind the counter. He said he will notify the person I need. 5 minutes go by, 10, 15, 20, no one is acknowledging I am even there. Now even less people in the store. No one in the custom fitting room. 25 minutes I go back to the front desk. I mention I can't wait any longer. He says sorry the guy who would help you is him. Same guy who was there for 25 minutes pretty much doing nothing waiting on no one. Horrible horrible experience. Place must only be in business due to lack of options. I would give negative stars if I could thanks for wasting my time. read more

Very accommodating and friendly guys who really care about the golfer not just the sale! Unbelievable! The perfect example of why stores are going out of business! Was looking for a golf bag for myself, clothes for my wife and a gift for my sister. Found an outfit for my sister immediately, then asked one of the employees at the desk to open the dressing for my wife. He let out a sigh, but what looked like a store manager who was polite, jumped in and said "I'll open it". I was going to get a $300 golf bag and had over $300 of clothes in my hand when I asked the salesperson...who was doing absolutely nothing...if he could open the dressing room for my wife one more time. He let out a sigh and literally rolled his eyes at my wife and I, as he reluctantly walked 2 feet to grab the key! I threw the clothes on the table and told him to forget it! Horrible customer service. Very bad attitude. I tried to book a gift for our son over the phone and they had a horrible attitude on the phone and abruptly said we needed to come in to the store. The following week my husband was visiting our son and went in to purchase the lesson package. My husband called me from the store to tell me they were not friendly or helpful and if I was sure I wanted to get a gift card from there. Not living in the area I told him to go ahead since it was near my son. When my son tried to book the lessons he told me they were, "kind of nasty" and not helpful. I told him I was sorry and that maybe the lesson person would be better. He said the guy that gave him the lesson had the same attitude, (my son and husband are both VERY easy going). At the lesson my son told the instructor he was getting married in a few weeks at a local country club and when he told the instructor the name of the club, the instructor proceeded to tell him, "oh really, I heard that place is no longer nice and has gone downhill". First bad review of GG...very disappointed. Racks of clubs on sale...wanted a Rocket bladez 3 wood that they are advertising at $99. Picked out the one I wanted....was told I had to pay $199 because of the shaft. Questioned why it was in the $99 rack....was told they had that problem earlier in the day!?!?!? Picked out another one while they put the first one back in the $99 rack. I told them they couldn't do that as it is false advertising....they couldn't have cared less....back into the rack it went.
