Store seems somewhat desterted. not very busy and when i asked if they could regrip my clubs within the day they said they would need two days... to do a job that would take 45 minutes. My impression is that they are lazy and have zero customer service skills. I am going to PGA Superstore. they said they could do them while i wait. And, while i wait, i am going to buy a new driver and some clothing. I had a swing analysis and got fitted for a set of clubs at Golf Galaxy in Roseville, MN. The experience was very good. They get ordered online. I called two weeks later and the person i spoke with condescendingly explained it takes 5 to 7 business days. Well it had been 2 weeks. I had called on a Saturday. They indicated they would check with the company on monday and call me back. I did not get a call back. I called on tuesday; turns out the order never went through. Now again, i am told it will be 5 to 7 business days. Lesson here: if they order from the store, call again to check that the order went through. Then call them back to confirm. This place just means trouble...if you do not have money flowing out of your pockets. I love going here if I need that little something to improve or modify my game. However, the problem is that they have a lot of little somethings! This is a place that you go to if you are not sure what you need to get, but you want something related to golf. They will probably have it. Having run you around in a nonsensical circle, I must also say that the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Whether you need a club repaired, regripped, or just need a new club or accessory, they are always willing to take the time to help out. They will also give you a swing analysis to help give you exact club specifications (far a small fee). Fairly simple and straight forward. I will definitely go back...especially when I just have that itch to improve my game...or at least my game-time appearance! read more

Spent $180 on a new club. First time out with it, shaft separated from club head. Multimillion dollar company said the best they can do is send it out and charge me $15 to do that. Do not shop here. Never will shop here again. Brutal service, terrible selection, even worse desire for customer service. I have to have spent over 5k in this store since they opened. Two sets of irons, metalwoods, wedges, balls, bags, clothes-I'm a golfer who doesn't belong to a club, where else do I go? Stopped in for a re-grip on a Saturday evening. Just a few customers in store, plenty of staff throughout. Club tech was busy figuring out how a computer worked (I'm not kidding) as hey keyed in another guest's order. I was waiting at the club tech counter, nine of my clubs in hand, nine $11 replacement grips in hand, Amex out and in the other. Between a manager helping another salty customer, the kid who was "sorry on a break", and the cashier up front, expect to go unacknowledged for a good 20 minutes. It's funny that this happened actually, since I thought a prior visit to the store just caught them on a low inventory day. I was looking for a pair for shoes in a size 13, a large but common size, with nothing close in sight. (Next closest size in any Nike or Adidas was an 11, any style) Oh, and if you want to try clothes on, you had better get a Rep to open a door for you...which as I've mentioned, is a challenge in it of itself. read more

This was the worst golf store experience my wife and I have ever had. We entered the store and the staff immediately began to treat us like lost sheep. On multiple occasions we were pointed to the women's section and asked if we knew what we were looking for. My wife is better than most men at golfing, having played for years and in a division one college program. The manager was a jerk. On the phone AND in person. I wanted to buy a varsity/youth set of cobras because what I read online and my height and wrist to floor measurement should work out perfect (I'm not paying $900 for a women's set when I can fit a $450 set) I already bought the clubs and went to pick them up at the store and the manager goes oh yeah I remember talking to you- I already told you these aren't gonna work....so I said yeah can I get measured then since I'm here- he referred me to an older man named Tom. Tom proceeded to tell me they won't work, grabbed my bag and took them to the back for someone to PUT AWAY. I ALREADY PURCHASED THEM. I said yeah that's fine but can I get measured anyways he said they aren't going to work you're too tall you need a women's set- then proceeded to try to DOWN SELL me into a cheap set of petite women's top flights.....serious? We took a club from each set and they were literally 1/2 inch difference. Tom decided the Cobra youth/varsity set would fit me after he measured me and then invited me to hit with them in the store. They are perfect for me...he apologized for the jerk manager and said the clubs will work for me and then offered to bring them out to my car....I will never go to this store again. I went there today to look for golf shoes and a pitching wedge. The customer service is non existant. I found shoes on my own. Someone came to ask if I was doing OK and then walked away. I went to the front to ask for help with the club I wanted. The sales person was totally not interested and not helpful plus it was about 90 degrees in the store. I bought the shoes since they were on sale and left without a club. read more

Purchased a set of clubs there a few years ago, bought my daughters clubs there as well last year. Went there today to look at new grips and possibly a new driver. Store was almost empty so went back to try a driver, hit two balls then the simulator police showed up and started pushing to purchase simulator time; pushy and rude as though I was abusing a simulator. Handed the club back to him and walked out, wont be back. Felt a lot like Gander Mountain. I wonder how they are feeling these days? Sad that these large RETAIL companies have lost the idea of what makes them work and I think any Joe off the street knows it. How is it that these big shot CEO's don't? read more

My son and I frequent this store often looking for deals and over the last couple of years have purchased 4 sets of irons 3 drivers a number of wedges and countless gripping supplies. My son tries a lot of clubs and when he finds something he likes for a good price he buys it. But I am not sure how much I want to shop here anymore after one of the employees told my son if he hits to many clubs he will start charging him. If you don't want us to try your clubs before we buy then take out the hitting bays and see how that works for you. I for one will be spending a lot more time shopping at 2nd Swing which is only 1.4 miles further away from my house. read more
