The kiddie pool is a small size but good for kids not ready for 3ft depth. The "rec center" is not a rec center in any way. It is purely a place to take shelter from hot sun or rain and it has small restrooms, picnic tables, and two vending machines. If not they have overflow parking across the street. Several staircases lead down to the beach. Great beach to look for beach glass and other cool rocks. About a mile away there is a great nature center and across the street there is an arts area. Lots to do!
