I have been going here for awhile. The personal staff really helps by listening to what you want to work and focus on in your game, and tailors a program to that. But also, the knowledgeable staff can find things to improve your scoring that you had not even thought of. The bays are a great way to practice when winter in Chicago sets in so you can be ready to go once the weather turns back around. I've been coming to Golftec for around 8 months now and the changes in my game have been immense. Golftec provides you a place where you can get expert instruction and hone your game with an extremely friendly set up. Everyone is approachable and willing to go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and having fun. My specific teacher, Jack, has done a great job of not only listening to the problems that I was having with my golf swing but making tangible changes that I could easily transition into my golf swing. First of all, I began as a hacker! My approach sucked and I consider myself a horrible golfer. Quit about 5 years ago. Well, I decided that I didn't want to quit and have taken the swing evaluator and 2 lessons so far at GolfTEC Naperville. Cole is my instructor and has done an amazing job with me. Unbelievable results. The 30 minute lessons give me enough time to take in what Cole presents and I am now hitting my 6 iron 120-140 yards in the air. Prior to instructions, I could not hit a 6 iron at all. I'm looking forward to getting on the course as my confidence is at its' highest point so far. If you want to learn, do think about getting the most for your buck. Spend a little extra with GolfTEC and you won't be sorry. read more

If I could give a negative rating, I would! First I emailed them and received an email back confirming that they've received my email and they will reach out to me shortly. No phone call or email. Then I called and left a message with reference to the email they had sent me, requesting that someone call me back to set up an appointment for my husband to have an assessment. No phone call or email. Lastly I went in and spoke to the manager. Explained the whole situation and he promised to look into the poor response of both of my previous attempts. I pre-paid for my husband's 90 minutes golf assessment and set a date for his appointment in Father's Day. He gave me his personal card and told me to call him if I have any issues. My husband went to the Halsted location for his 9am appointment. Not only was there no one at the desk to help him, his appointment was not on the calendar. I called the manager in his cell phone to find out what was going on and I got the rudest response. He asked me how I got his number and said he would only respond to emails on his work email and that I should stop calling him. He was rude, unprofessional, uncaring and showed no personal accountability for the situation. He does not deserve an managerial position in any company. This was a disappointment all the way around and I requested a refund from my credit card company. I will never give them my business... Nor should you!! read more

I have been a life long high handicap golfer, and after recently retiring I decided to commit to finally fixing my golf swing before it was too late. For many decades, and as a result of trying to teach myself the proper fundamentals of a sound golf swing, I had developed many very bad swing habits, and I knew that wherever I went and whomever I decided to work with, they would have to help me "un-learn" those bad habits and build a new golf swings pretty much from the ground up. A good friend of mine, and a very good golfer in his own right recommended GolfTec. He hadn't actually taken lessons there himself, but friends of his had (in Florida) and raved about it. I signed up for a 10 lesson package after the initial swing analysis. I am now 8 lessons into this program, and the results have been extremely impressive. My handicap has only dropped a few strokes thus far, but these guys literally are rebuilding my swing from the ground up - and due to the issues listed above, that's what I wanted to do. The lessons and instruction from the professional instructors at GolfTec Halsted Row are first rate. My instructor, Ben Thulin, really understands the golf swing, and the way he explains it works very well for me - lots of explanations relate to physics - (but simple, basic physics), which I can readily absorb. And, all of the instructors at this facility (Don, Brian, Max, Jack, TJ) are incredibly friendly, and they're readily willing to help you any time you have a question or need some assistance or advice between sessions. Additionally, the facilities at the Halsted Row location are incredible. Each teaching bay is equipped with a tremendous array of technology that really helps the student understand what they're doing - during lessons, but also - and maybe most importantly - while practicing! After my first lesson, I asked my instructor where the nearest driving range was located so that I could practice. My instructor told me where it was, and then said "but I don't want you going there". He went on to explain that if I went to a driving range, I would practice and since I wouldn't be able to see my swing (as I can with the technology at GolfTec) I would most likely think that I was doing things correctly, but that I would probably not be (particularly in the beginning), and that I should come to the GolfTec facility and practice so that I could see what was happening on every shot - AND, when you're in a program, there is no extra charge for the practice sessions. An additional advantage is that when you are there practicing, the instructors periodically look in on you, to make sure you're working on the appropriate things, doing them correctly, and getting the most out of your practice sessions. I've worked with and taken lessons from (a limited number of sessions in each case) four of five golf pros over the years, and I've enjoyed them all. But, the instructors at this GolfTec facility in combination with the facilities and equipment/technology, are the best I've ever experienced. I've never made this much progress with really fixing my swing ever before with any other instructor/facility combination, in spite of spending an incredible amount of time "grinding" on the practice tee. On a final note, I visited one other GolfTec location in Florida a few months ago to get some practice in while I was down there (I spend a fair amount of time up North in Chicago, which is how I came to choose the Halsted Row location for my lessons this past summer). The equipment and technology at that location (Florida) were very limited (three practice/lesson bays) and were no where near as impressive as those at Halsted Row in terms of the technology/equipment. I highly recommend this GolfTec location and these golf professionals for anyone who is serious about improving their game, regardless of your current skill level. read more
