Ordered a sliced brisket sandwich and it was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I have had in a long time. Will de getting more BBQ ever time I get close. Also will be getting some of their BBQ sauce that they use. Getting a gallon of that. Great service, food and just a great small town store.

Wow. A quaint tiny town grocery with a meat market and restaurant attached. On Saturdays, BBQ is…read moreoffered and that's why we made the drive. Ordering first, get your own drink, pick up a desert (included with meal) and sit down in the rustic themed dining area. We got there early so it wasn't crowded....yet. A very reasonable short wait and our food was brought out....a lot of it. The portions are very generous. I got brisket, sausage, pinto beans and potato salad. Wife got a beef rib, sausage and the same sides. To be very frank, two people could split one plate and be very satisfied. A desert is included and the choices were a couple of different cobblers and two or three pudding varieties. The meats: OMG. The beef rib slipped out of the meat when my wife picked up the bone. What remained on the plate could be cut with her plastic spoon. Smokey, SUPER tender and just glorious. The brisket was just as tender--cutting not really needed. It pulls apart. And like the rib, flavor on point...just incredible smokey meat flavor. I went in hungry and could only eat half of my order. The sausage was just as wonderful with a firm snap of the casing without being chewy. We both thought the potato salad was one of the best BBQ joint potato salads we've had. I thought the beans (a bit of BBQ flavor) were a little spicy, wife didn't think so at all. Even the onions and pickles were top notch....they make their own pickles. The drive from Corpus was to go here. We didn't have any other reason to go to Woodsboro or the area. TOTALLY worth the drive and if you're simply in the Refugio/Woodsboro area...this is THE place to go. And as a grocery/meat market...quaint with some of the friendliest people you're likely to meet. The meat deals they offer look great. We WILL DEFINITELY make the drive again. BTW, we've got enough leftovers for another full meal each. (I ate my leftovers on Monday for lunch, reheated it's just as tender and flavorful.) What a treasure Woodsboro has in Tuttles!

Inside the market does have a bit of a funky smell but I have noticed that all of the meat is red and fresh. I don't have a problem with it personally. They do make their own sausages and chorizo which is great! And it is a really great price! One small package of pan sausage cost me about $1.50. Location is on Staples and Yorktown Blvd right across the street from the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

Acid as you enter the facility, the odor makes you want to be a vegetarian, the frozen foods like as if they're covered in frostbite wait a minute if they are , I see no potential hope for Staples street market reason being their customer service the managers owners have no class no PR skills to handle their customers much less their meats, they become very offensive and aggressive with customers we return their products and request a refund due to the meat being expired discoloration with their chicken beef. is the dark blackish, grayish color, but they will still sell it to you knowing it's expired and some of their meat smell like cow maneuver., a little recap for Easter. I was in from California preparing my sous chef with the Easter dinner menu the meet was purchased from Staples Street market. it was the most disgusting site and smell of their expired product. My assistant and I took it back requested a refund man in the wheelchair gets defensive and state states not "our meets." I was being kind in the beginning he started getting louder and I just matched his tone proceeded to tell him he ruined Staples Street market ruin ruined, one of-my biggest most important holidays of the year Easter. He got off his wheelchair and literally followed me as I was walking out. He threatened to get physical. My assistant had to intervene. Didn't even apologize once for ruining our Easter dinner. And now they are getting sued. For their Longhorn logo and they deserve everything they get I didn't mention to the guy in the wheelchair that it was going to get worse for him . It will never be the same for Staples Street market all they had to do was give me a refund and apologize for at least just apologize instead they chose to be disrespectful, aggressive, inconsiderate, narcissistic, and chose physical harm to a woman. And the only positive reviews they have their paid , customers and friends and families I'm not saying they go in the store and pay. I'm saying the owners probably pay them to write a positive review. Thanks for reading
