The kicker was that I complained of tooth pain for 3 visits; he just sold me special tooth paste then sent me on my way. Whether true or not, my new dentist was very unhappy with a crown Dr Hoffman installed and blamed that for the state of my tooth. A new crown, root canal, and over $3k later, I am pain free. I don't know if Dr Hoffman could have prevented 2 years of discomfort. Or the cost of repair. But he could have taken my complaint seriously and addressed it.

Dr. Marcos was genuinely happy to see me again and took the time to listen carefully to everything I had experienced. He examined my teeth thoroughly and showed me where the previous fillings had not been fully completed. I really appreciated his honesty, patience, and the fact that he never dismissed my concerns. He uses the most current and innovative dental technology, which made the entire visit smooth, fast, and virtually painless. He works efficiently but very carefully, and I felt completely at ease in his care. He fixed the issue, and by the next day, the pain and sensitivity were completely gone. The relief was immediate and life-changing. What really stood out was the follow-up care his office called me the next day just to check in and see how my teeth were feeling. That level of attention is rare and deeply appreciated. He also provided a complimentary enamel toothpaste, and his staff is consistently kind, welcoming, and professional. Appointment reminders dont work properly and I dont blame this on the Staff. Maybe they use a Microsoft computer or an Oracle system, maybe they have an AI app, who knows? The front office can prove with screenshots that they sent messages and reminders. While it shows on their end the message was recieved, I get absolutely nothing. I think this is a malicious intention by Tech Companies. They are handicapping services, generating a lot of complaints and then Business Owners are going to be convinced by the Tech Companies it was the 'human element' that was the problem. Dont worry, the Tech Bros have the solution: Fire the Front Office Workers and replace them with an AI system. Honestly, the front office should use Carrier Pigeons. This place is awesome! I have been here twice and have had fantastic experiences so far. Dr. Amy is my dentist and I have had help with assistants, Tiffany and Ryan (I hope that was his name) and Liz at the front desk. Everyone is super friendly and professional and that makes me very relaxed. No anxiety about the dentist but excitement for me. These people are punctual and caring. I understand that support teams handle a high volume of cases, but the communication lacked clarity around how to resolve the issue. It appears there may have been a clerical error at the front desk regarding documentation tied to my appointment, which may affected my eligibility for the promotion. At one point, I was informed my case had been transferred to another agent and that my appointment appeared canceled -- as though I had not attended my deep cleaning. The injection placement felt obviously very asymmetrical during the procedure and sure enough the results speak to that. Looking back, I also felt like he didn't spend enough time understanding my TMJ. He did not examine me at all before proceeding with the Botox, and he didn't pay much attention to my symptoms. For example, I explained several times that I don't get migraines with my TMJ, but he wanted to proceed with injection sites for migraines. I had to very clearly say once again, about 30 seconds before the injections, that I didn't want treatment for migraines. Just don't get Botox here.

I knew, however, that I could no longer neglect my teeth. Choosing Dr. Hsu's office was the best decision I could have made for myself. Honestly, I am just so impressed with the staff, with the office itself, and the doctors here have the best hands in the business. Seriously, from the moment I called their office, I knew this was the gonna by my dentist. The staff is incredibly nice. They empathized with my fears/concerns, and then went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Not only was the staff the best, but the office itself is a beautiful office. It's the care that they have for the little details that really made an impression. They provide you with sunglasses, so that the overhead lights you are staring into don't hurt your eyes. I know it seems like a small, silly detail, but when someone has their hands in your mouth for almost 2 hours, you want to be comfortable. Oh, and I can't forget to talk abut, Dr. Chen, who has the most amazing bed side manners. She's absolutley incredible. Before we even got started, she took the time to listen to my story and walk me through what she was seeing and how to best to go about healing my mouth. Her and the assistant staff always walked me through what they were gonna do before just diving in. It makes a difference when a dentist is up front about what is happening and actually takes the time to walk you through it, and continue to walk you through what is happening while they are treating you. I left my first appointment with zero anxiety and for the first time looked forward to coming back. For more context, my next 2 visits would be 2-hr sessions each because I needed a super deep cleaning and a few fillings. Never in my life did I think my gums would be able to handle this. And this is what I mean when I say they have the best hands in the business. Although my gums were a little sore the next day, not once was I ever afraid or in pain, even with the deep flossing. I even got shots in my mouth!!! It's not that I didn't feel them, but I barely felt the shots. This is how good this place is. I'm sorry for the long post. I'm just someone who is proud of finally getting the courage to see the dentist and I could not have picked a better place. I went from thinking I'll just let my teeth do what they're gonna do to someone who is excited to see the dentist. This doesn't just happen. It's this office. They take care of their patients.
